Chapter 41: Catch the Stalker!
(Syrilblia’s POV)
The plan was pretty simple. Just Velta and I would go explore the maze, and the stalker will surely follow us into it. We will catch the stalker this way. Beatrice and Priscilla will follow after the stalker, cutting off her escape.
It doesn’t sound like a good plan, but it should work out. Velta was very powerful, I was getting there, Beatrice was practically a Goddess, and Priscilla had been taught by said Goddess herself the past month. Each of us should be able to catch and subdue a random cheeky stalker girl. I hope…
After the Plan Setup Later.
Was this girl kinda… foolish? She didn’t follow too close, but even the most unaware person in the world would notice that they were being followed. For one, who else would be in this maze?
Woman: “Eep!” She yelped out.
Rounding the corner to that open area from before, I heard the voice of a woman. Judging from her voice, it isn’t someone of the faculty. The tone was that of a young woman.
Syrilblia: “…”
With my arms crossed, Priscilla and Beatrice held the woman’s hands behind her back, and brought her over to me and Velta. The woman… it wasn’t anyone that I knew of.
Syrilblia: “Tell me… who are you, and why have you been following me for over a month?” I ask with a serious tone.
Woman: “…”
Velta: “Now that I see her, this is Ramona Stein. She is notable, as Ramona has a very good grasp over magic, as well as extremely good grades on other subjects. She enrolled just slightly before you, Syrilblia.” She informed.
Well… it wasn’t like the Academy only taught magic and weapons. There were classes for each subject, just like a normal college.
But with my modern knowledge, none of them were a challenge for me. From what Velta’s told me, I have the top grades of the Academy. This isn’t counting things like magic, as there really isn’t any system that grades it.
Syrilblia: “So, Ramona? Are you just going to keep quiet?” I say with a stern tone.
Ramona: “Beatrice, Priscilla! You need to wake up! Syrilblia is mind controlling you two!” She exclaimed with a serious tone and expression.
Beatrice: “…”
Priscilla: “…”
Mind control? Such magic doesn’t exist in this world. If it did, Marina would have had a far easier time of trying to take it over. Where did she get this idea?…
Syrilblia: “Surely, someone as well versed in magic as you, Lady Ramona… Shouldn’t you be aware that kind of magic doesn’t exist?” I say with a confused tone.
Ramona: “Shut up! You’re just like me, right? You reincarnated into this novel world… I didn’t get any cheats, but you clearly did. Mind controlling all the girls you get your hands on… Why did an evil person like you get cheats!?” She exclaimed with an angry tone.
Syrilblia: “…”
Oh, so that’s what this is, huh? Someone else who read the novel… died and ended up in this world as well. Eh, as it happened to me, I don’t find it to be that surprising. Not that I would ever admit to it to Ramona, though.
Syrilblia: “Lady Ramona… I do not know who has fed you such lies, but you need to calm down. Think it through. A novel world? What are you talking about? To what caused you to be so deluded that you question reality itself?” I say with a warm tone.
Ramona: “Lies, lies! You won’t trick me like you’ve tricked everyone else!” She spat out.
Syrilblia: “I have tricked no one, Lady Ramona. Perhaps you should visit the Academy doctor? Maybe she can help you with your delusions.” I propose with a caring tone.
Ramona: “You’d call me crazy? Shouldn’t fellow reincarnaters stick together?” She replied with a scoff.
Syrilblia: “Frankly, I have no desire to be in any relation with one who cannot discern fiction from reality, Lady Ramona.” I reply with a giggle.
Ramona: “…”
Priscilla: “I also do not wish to hold her much longer, Syrilblia. What if her craziness is something that we can catch?” She said with a pout.
Syrilblia: “Ah, that’s true. You two, please release the clearly unwell girl.” I reply.
Letting go of the reincarnater, the two walked over to me with smiles on their faces. They were clearly aware that I had no intentions of restraining the girl any longer.
Ramona: “Syrilblia, or whatever you real name is… I will reveal your evil deeds to everyone!” She exclaimed with a smile.
Syrilblia: “Please do, as even I wish to know of evil deeds that I have done. Although, I am not aware of any at the moment. Perhaps someone used that mystical mind control you mentioned on me?” I reply with an unbothered tone.
Ramona: “You won’t get away with it, Syrilblia. I will see you head on the execution block in the near future, I am sure.” She said with a scoff.
Syrilblia: “Aiming for my death now? Shouldn’t you focus on slandering my character first, Lady Ramona?” I suggest with a head tilt.
Ramona: “Of course, that is my plan! Just wait, I will have you expelled from this Academy within a month!” She replied with a smile.
Syrilblia: “Do as you please, as I eagerly await the results. Oh, and do please stop following me around. Doing such a thing would surely hurt the credibility of your evidence.” I reply with a laugh.
Ramona: “You won’t be laughing forever, bitch.” She said with an evil laugh of her own before walking off.
Why was she more evil than I am? I was fucking born as the VILLIAN of this entire goddamn novel… Was she that pissed off that she didn’t get any cheats? I didn’t get cheats either, silly fool…
Velta: “What should we do about her, Syrilblia?” She asked.
Syrilblia: “There is no way for her to get evidence of anything. Besides seducing various fellow students of mine, I have committed no crimes.” I answer.
That isn’t really true, as Martin has gotten the original Syrilblia to do many criminal things in the past. Marina has assured me that it was all covered up, though. And I will not be doubting my wife at any point in this life.
Beatrice: “Is she really no threat to us?” She said with a thinking pose.
Priscilla: “If she ends up being one, I will gladly take her life.” She said with an angry tone.
Syrilblia: “Murder isn’t needed, Priscilla… Velta, is there any way to detect that you and the maids are demons, and that I have the seed of a succubus in me?” I ask with a serious tone.
Velta: “Absolutely not. That demon detection magic is old and weak. Currently, no one even believes that any demons walk among them. To accuse someone of being a demon… it would just get you laughed at.” She explained.
Syrilblia: “Good. Let Ramona make a fool out of herself. If she doesn’t stop after that, then we can have her expelled, and then keep her in our dorm secretly.” I propose.
Beatrice: “Oh? I thought that kidnapping and rape go against your morals, Syrilblia?” She said with a raised eyebrow.
Syrilblia: “The knowledge that she has access to, as Ramona read the novel, is very dangerous for us. If she forces my hand… I will consider raping her into submission.” I say with a grim tone.
It would absolutely go against my morals, and I would feel like a horrible person afterwards… But that is just one possibility. In reality, there is a decent chance that Ramona gives up on this whole thing. I just have to hope that she makes that decision…
