Symbiotic Agent

Chapter 5: Chapter 5

"If I remember correctly, there should be a hotel at the turn ahead." Holm looked at the building next to him and compared it with the memories in his mind.

While thinking, he looked around waiting for the red light.

Although it was already night, it was still very lively here.

People were coming in and out of the nightclub all the time, and even when Holm was sitting in the car he could hear the loud music inside.

People were walking out of the nightclub in groups of twos and threes, and many of them either fell to the side of the road or started puking while holding trash cans.

It doesn't matter if it's Asia or America; the scene outside the nightclubs is the same everywhere.

No matter whether it is a sexy beauty wearing cool clothes or handsome men dressed exquisitely, they all look equally ugly when they vomit while holding a trash can.

The unpleasant smell came with the evening breeze, and Holm frowned and raised the window.

When the red light turned green, Holm, who had been impatient for a long time, immediately stepped on the accelerator and drove out of there.

After leaving the area, he rolled down the window again, letting the evening breeze blow on his face and blow away the remaining smell in the car.

After turning around the corner, Holm saw the hotel sign he remembered from his memories at some distance.

At this moment, a loud and obscene voice came from the alley next to the spot where he parked.

"What's the point of drinking alone? Why don't you come to the bar nearby with us and have a drink?"

"I have a lot of good stuff here, all new things which are hard to come by on the market. If you come with us, I guarantee you will be having one hell of a night and will forget all your worries." A man wearing a baseball cap and with a bunch of gold chains around his neck was smiling obscenely. He winked at his friend next to him, while speaking to the woman who was squatting on the ground with her hoodie pulled up.

There were several cans of beer in front of the woman. Her pulled-up hoodie completely obscured her face and expression, with only a few strands of golden hair scattered through.

God knows if she just didn't hear him or chose to ignore him, or simply didn't care about him, but all in all, she did not react to the man's words at all and continued to stay on the ground silently.

"Man...She didn't even look at you hah!" The woman's silent reaction made the people around the man burst into laughter.

They patted the man on the shoulder and said something in his ear, making the man feel very embarrassed.

In a rage, the man in the hat pulled up the woman who was squatting on the ground, took out a balisong, and placed it against the woman's neck.

After being forcibly pulled up from the ground, the hoodie on the woman's head fell off, revealing her long golden hair and a pretty but indifferent face.

Even though the lighting was dim, her blue eyes still stood out.

As if she didn't care about any of this, the woman's, no, the girl's eyes were calm, revealing a heavy gloom.

Looking at how the girl still didn't have any reaction, the man felt very angry. He pulled the girl's clothes and pushed the balisong closer to her neck while threatening her. "You bitch! Don't you hear me talking to you?"

"Do you think I don't know bitches like you? I don't know how many people like you I have fuck*d before!"

"You're pretending to be clean, eh? Wait until we are done playing with you and then we'll see if you can still behave like this!"

While the man was threatening her, not one of the passersby or the people near the club stopped to help her; instead, they were all watching it as if it was a show, and some were even jeering.

"Nice job, bud, I didn't think that we'd be enjoying such a beauty tonight."

"Yeah, man, it's been a while since we have had anyone as good-looking as this gal to spend time with."

While talking, they approached the girl and stretched their hands forward impatiently, wanting to feel the girl's soft body.

Finally, at this moment, the indifferent look in the girl's eyes changed, and it was replaced with one of pure anger.

An icy glint flashed in her deep blue eyes, and her fists hidden in her wide sleeves were clenched.

"DEA! Put your hands up!"

A shout interrupted the thugs' hands and also interrupted the girl's counterattack.

When they turned around, they saw a man in a black suit standing at the entrance of the alley with a gun in hand.

Although the man didn't look like the kind who would shoot, his heavily frowned brows and the tightly held gun in his hand made the group think over their decision once more and prevented them from doing any unwanted thing.

"Put your hands up where I can see them!" Holm spoke word by word, while exerting slight force on his fingers.

Seeing Holm's actions and hearing his stern warning again, the group paled and quickly raised their hands.

"OK OK, calm down, buddy! We have raised our hands!" said the man in the hat pleadingly.

Although they were cursing the man in their heart, they didn't dare to utter a single word right now.

Every one of them knows that these guys from the DEA are like mad dogs; no, they are mad dogs who have licenses and reasons to kill.

If anything goes haywire, then one thing is for sure: the guy will be all fine, but they will not be going home tonight. Instead, they may just become corpses.

Bang!

With the sound of a gunshot, the man in the hat fell to his knees in pain, wailing loudly as he looked at his hand that had been shot.

The sudden gunshot and the scream made the people nearby break out in cold sweats again, and their eyes were like they had seen a ghost in broad light.

"For possessing a dangerous weapon and having the intention of attacking a DEA officer." Before these people could ask why he shot the man, Holm spoke calmly.

After hearing what Holm said, these people also looked at the blood-stained balisong that fell to the side and felt their throats become very dry.

Perhaps it was because their legs went weak after seeing his method, or perhaps they wanted to just beg him to let them go; they all knelt on the ground one after another.

"Officer, we have no weapons, I...we have nothing!" The man who had just laughed the most spoke in a trembling voice while raising his hands high, trying his best to prove to Holm that he was not a threat.

Holm looked at them, walked quickly towards them with his gun raised, and then squatted in front of them.

"Don't you have something that can make people feel ecstatic? Take it out and let me see it."

Hearing what Holm said, the wretched man also said in a trembling voice: "The things...the things are in our pockets."

He didn't dare to reach out to take it himself. He was afraid that once he put his hand into his pocket, he would be in the same situation as the man in the hat, or even worse off.

Looking at the creepy men who were so scared and yet so cautious, Holm smiled. He took out everything in their pockets, then took out his cell phone and started taking pictures of them one by one.

"Trace Branagh, male, 24 years old. Errol Cox, male, 28 years old."

As they listened to Holm calling out their names, ages, and previous criminal records one by one, their eyes widened.
