First-Ever Battle
[Notice: for this quest, I recommend you wear the Sentient Mask, otherwise you won't be able to fight the Orcs.]
[The usage of non-lethal force is also recommended.]
"Give me a break." I groan, taking the pebble in my hands.
I have many questions, but before there is time to ask them, I can hear someone coming.
How did the System know they were near?
Did the Goddess plant a radar inside me? No, wait, inside herself, this is still her body if you look at it that way.
If she suggests non-lethal force, that means I'm stronger. Right?
I should have a decent chance, even without any weapons, otherwise why ask?
I have no idea what the mask has to do with fighting though. Damn it, they're here.
Do they see and hear as well as I do? Let's hurry up and put that thing on.
There's too much movement around me. Do they know I was here?
Or at least did they expect someone to be in the woods?
Considering their size they're silent and fast, but they're still orcs. These cat ears can follow them from miles away. I still have to spot them without knowing how they look.
No. The important part is that they must not know what I look like. Let's not draw too much attention and equip that thing.
[Notice: you equipped the Sentient Mask. It has no extra stats.]
To my surprise, it's not something that covers the face. As soon as it touches my cheeks, it becomes invisible and weightless.
A glance at the river lit by the moonlight shows that it has an effect regardless.
A magical one at that. The cat ears disappear with that fluffy black tail, and the hair looks only half the length now. Not only that, it's blonde.
Fuck, she's still hot, no matter what hair color she has. How would she look with bangs? No, stupid, focus on the enemy nearby.
The changes on the face are minuscule and won't alter the body shape. Whatever. If Superdude could hide his identity with his glasses this should be enough too.
Nobody saw her in this world for a decade, what are the odds that some random orcs would recognize her like this?
The first of them shows up within arm's reach a moment later. I don't know which game influenced my imagination when I tried to picture them, but they don't look like that.
Neither the MightCraft nor Waraxe 50K orcs could do them justice.
Those look brutish, bulky, and animalistic, but these guys are closer to humans, mind you, not too close. They're still in Handsome Squiddart or TerraChad territory, and very green.
Masculine, raw, muscular.
In a sense, they're hot. What the fuck?
Meeting this Goddess made me realize I'm into girls, and now I'm into orcs too? Come on Leona, there is something wrong with your head.
You're supposed to fight them, and soon. Yes, that's it, my heart beats this fast because of the adrenaline. Not because I'm getting turned on, or something.
Why would I? Nonsense. Whew, it's a hot night though, and they're close.
What would they do to me if they found me here? Why am I looking forward to it?!
I'm not like that. No rape fantasies whatsoever. Especially not with these brutish and barbaric, muscular, raw, hot, sexy, animalistic things. Oh shit.
One of them glances my way and his eye sparkles. Okay, time out.
I'll figure out later if I'll blame the world, the transfer, or the Goddess herself for this reaction. For now, let's put this body to the test.
These firm legs should be strong, I kick myself into the air with them, and do a front flip. Whatever gave me the idea, this seemed cool in my head, and it does work.
I don't even have the time to worry about how to fight.
In tabletop games, you only have to announce your moves and roll the dice. In MMORPGs, you click a button, and the character does what it has to do.
Here, it's different. This is as real as sitting in a classroom. Flipping the pages in a book won't teach you their essence, you have to understand it.
The will to fight isn't enough here either, I have to do the actual movements and do them fast.
If I want to blame Alex for these weird feelings, credit is also due to her for these ingrained muscle memories. The body almost moves by itself, as if I'm a superhuman.
No, sorry, a super feline.
[Notice: you defeated Raktár, and gained some Exp.]
My feet land in his face with a huge bang, and the poor green dude flies across the forest. He's out immediately. Why did I even worry?
Before they home in on me, I dash to knock out the second one. He doesn't have a chance to assume a defensive position and a simple tap on his chin dislocates his jaw.
Wow, I'm strong.
[Notice: you defeated Bútor, and gained some Exp.]
Are these their names? Bútor and Raktár? It sounds weird as hell, though they're fitting for orcs.
How does the System know it? And why am I stopping to think about it during a fight?
At least I no longer have to dash towards them, the next four runs straight at me. Let's see if I'm as good at defending as at punching.
The handsome fucker throws his leg at me, but he's too slow. I grab it in the air, twist it, and slam the orc into a pine tree.
Am I this strong? For real?
It seems like I could be the one to rape these guys and not the other way around. And for some reason, that doesn't feel like my thing.
[Notice: 3/10 Orc Scouts disabled.]
Did the System sound embarrassed? Don't you dare to judge me! It's nothing but the excitement of my first-ever battle, okay?
