Swallowed Star: The Sacred Eye of Duplication

Chapter 56: Chapter 56: Transaction

Qiulong City spans an enormous area, meticulously divided into residential, commercial, and entertainment zones. The residential district is the largest, followed by the bustling commercial trading area, which houses numerous large marketplaces. After a brief search, Ye Yun selected a trading market in the northern part of Qiulong City.

The northern market thrived on its popular commercial street. Wide roads were lined with shops of various sizes. Following Momoyu's advice, Ye Yun chose a mid-sized store—neither too large nor too small—and stepped inside.

The moment he entered, a man in a black uniform approached him. Spotting the silver-armored guards accompanying Ye Yun, the man's eyes lit up, his expression brightening as he greeted him.

"Welcome to the Treasure Pavilion, sir! How may I assist you today?"

Ye Yun smiled faintly. "Are you in charge here? I'd like to sell a few items worth at least 10 billion Black Dragon Coins. Do you have the authority to negotiate?"

The man's polite demeanor didn't falter. He tapped a device on his wrist, summoning a younger man in gray from the back. With a quiet word to the newcomer, he turned back to Ye Yun and gestured respectfully.

"Please, follow me to the reception room, sir."

Inside the Treasure Pavilion

Ye Yun was led into a private reception room, where he was served Qiulong City's specialty drink. The man in black uniform then asked quietly,

"May I ask what treasures you wish to sell?"

Without a word, Ye Yun raised his hand, and two sleek, shuttle-shaped objects and two long metallic knives floated gently onto the table.

The man carefully examined the items, employing various tools and techniques. His expression turned to astonishment as he finished.

"Sir, these are third-level telekinetic weapons—'Sky-Escape Shuttles'—and third-level force weapons—'Sky-Splitting Blades.' Are you sure you want to sell them here?"

Ye Yun nodded. "Yes. All four items are for sale. I trust you'll offer me a fair price."

Maintaining his composure, the man calculated the value in his head while observing Ye Yun's calm demeanor, finding it impossible to discern his thoughts. Finally, he offered,

"At our Treasure Pavilion, a Sky-Escape Shuttle sells for 5 billion Black Dragon Coins. For two, we can offer 4 billion each. The Sky-Splitting Blades, typically priced at 10 billion each, can be purchased together for 9 billion apiece. What do you think of this price?"

Ye Yun smiled faintly, then stood.

"That price is acceptable. Let's draw up the contract."

The man let out a subtle sigh of relief, quickly organizing the transaction. Shortly after, Ye Yun left with a new Universe Galaxy Bank card loaded with 26 billion Black Dragon Coins.

Before leaving, the man handed Ye Yun a silver-and-gold membership card with a respectful bow.

"With this card, sir, you'll receive a 9.6% discount on all future purchases at our store."

Ye Yun glanced at the card, smirking.

"Do you have Bi Bo Sui? I'd like 10 kilograms. Also, show me your catalog of high-level treasures."

The man hurried to comply, activating a display that projected a list of treasures. After some browsing, Ye Yun ordered several items, including the requested Bi Bo Sui, spending an additional 2 billion Black Dragon Coins.

After leaving the Treasure Pavilion, Ye Yun wandered through Qiulong City until he arrived at its infamous slave trading market—spanning an area of 300 kilometers. Known as the largest slave market across hundreds of galaxies, its bustling atmosphere was a cacophony of haggling, shouting, and roaring.

The market was organized into zones. The outer sections dealt with planetary-level slaves, whose value was low due to their inability to obtain citizenship. Prices ranged from 10 to 100,000 Black Dragon Coins, depending on their level and skills. Stellar-level slaves, however, commanded significantly higher prices, making them prized for their potential as bodyguards or warriors.

As Ye Yun strolled through the market, his thoughts turned somber. He reflected on the cruel hierarchy of the universe, where weaker civilizations were inevitably colonized and enslaved, perpetuating a cycle of suffering.

His musings were interrupted by the arrival of a rotund man with a greasy smile.

"Welcome, sir! I'm Xinku, the manager of this square. Are you in need of slaves? We've just received a batch of Gulu girls—planetary-level strength—only 50,000 Black Dragon Coins each. Guaranteed authentic!"

Ye Yun frowned, his voice low with disdain.

"I'm not interested. I need a ninth-level stellar slave. Do you have any?"

Realizing Ye Yun's seriousness, Xinku quickly adjusted his tone.

"Of course, sir! We have Huya tribe warriors and spiritualists—legendary for their combat prowess. Their tribe has even produced cosmic-level fighters. This is an investment with great potential. Please, follow me!"

Xinku led Ye Yun to a secluded area where sixteen towering figures stood, each over two meters tall and exuding raw strength.

"These are ninth-level stellar slaves from the Huya tribe," Xinku explained. "We have six spiritualists and ten warriors in stock. How many would you like, sir?"
