Chapter 156: Pinnacle Battles ends

The entire scene of the battle between Wang Yi and Bolan was nothing short of thrilling, marked by unexpected twists and turns.

When Bolan charged toward Wang Yi, it seemed certain that Wang Yi's defeat was imminent.

Especially when Wang Yi finally confronted his opponent with a war blade in hand, the crowd braced themselves, anticipating Bolan's decisive victory.

But to everyone's shock, Wang Yi's blade instead severed Bolan's arm.

The arena plunged into a stunned silence.

"Clang!"

The black-haired youth calmly sheathed his blade, the metallic sound snapping the crowd out of their trance.

"Woah!"

The thousand or so geniuses in attendance erupted into chaos, their gazes fixed on Wang Yi in awe and disbelief.

Wang Yi, who had already proven his strength by conquering the Trial Tower, had now defeated Bolan in a one-on-one duel!

Even the Immortals watching from a distance were amazed.

"Am I seeing things? That strike just now seemed to embody the essence of the Law of Time," one remarked.

"You're not mistaken—I saw it too," another confirmed.

"Incredible! Unbelievable! Wang Yi has actually crossed the thresholds of the Laws of Fire, Space, and Time simultaneously!"

The Laws of Time and Space are among the most enigmatic and challenging of all Original Laws, thousands of times more complex than those of Gold, Fire, or Wind.

Among the top twenty geniuses in this Pinnacle Battles:

1.Luo Feng had stepped into the thresholds of Gold and Space.

2.Rong Jun had mastered Earth and Space.

3.Bolan had achieved mastery of Wind and Space.

4.Other talents, such as Ai Chen, had touched upon the dual laws of Light and Time.

Of the nineteen geniuses who had comprehended two Original Laws, eight had crossed the threshold of Space, six of Time, and five had not yet accessed either.

Yet Wang Yi was the only one to have broken into the thresholds of three Original Laws—Fire, Space, and Time!

No one had anticipated that Wang Yi had hidden his capabilities so deeply, only to unleash them in the decisive battle against Bolan.

"The Laws of Time and Space mastered simultaneously? This talent surpasses Bolan by a staggering margin," marveled an Immortal with sun-like golden hair.

"He's a monster. To step into the domains of Time and Space at the same time is unfathomable. I can't imagine how he achieved this," another remarked. "Whether he pursues mastery in one of the laws or merges them to chart his own path, he is destined to become a terrifying force in the future."

Under the ring, Bolan was resurrected but remained dazed, as if unable to comprehend his defeat.

"I actually lost. I lost to Wang Yi... Master, I..." Bolan muttered, biting his lip and clenching his fists. The defeat stung deeply—this was the first time he, a prodigy who considered himself unbeatable, had tasted failure.

"Wang Yi!" Bolan turned sharply to glare at the black-haired youth walking off the stage, his heart ablaze. "This time, I lost. I never imagined you'd comprehend the Law of Time. It seems you are my destined rival! I swear, I will defeat you someday!"

Luo Feng, seated alongside Rong Jun, had witnessed the entire fight. He was equally stunned. Although he had acknowledged Wang Yi's profound depth, Luo Feng had believed Bolan to be superior.

Yet the final result shattered that belief—Wang Yi had emerged victorious. The match left a lasting impression on Luo Feng.

"Wang Yi..." he murmured, deep in thought.

Even Rong Jun, the burly warrior, now regarded Wang Yi with newfound respect.

For many geniuses, Wang Yi had now become the ultimate rival. Bolan, who had once dominated the stage, now seemed overshadowed.

After all, Wang Yi's mastery of three Original Laws and his defeat of Bolan, a once-in-a-millennium genius, was nothing short of terrifying.

Wang Yi himself knew how precarious his victory had been. The final strike, infused with the essence of the Law of Time, was a move he had long prepared. Yet it was a one-time gambit; if revealed prematurely, it would lose its effectiveness.

Nonetheless, Wang Yi had triumphed over Bolan and was now destined to claim first place in the peak genius battle.

The final matches of the Reincarnation Battles concluded, and the rankings were announced:

1.Wang Yi: Four wins, no losses—an undisputed champion.

2.Bolan: Three wins, one loss—defeated only by Wang Yi.

3.Luo Feng: Two wins, two losses. Despite his best efforts, he was still outmatched by Bolan's speed and skill.

4.Wa ka: One win, three losses.

5.Qian Shui: No wins, four losses—utterly outclassed.

Wang Yi, Bolan, and Luo Feng earned spots in the prestigious Primal Secret Realm. While Wang Yi and Bolan's strength left no room for doubt, Luo Feng's inclusion raised some questions among the other geniuses, as his performance lacked a decisive edge.

Still, the results were final, and no one could change them.

As the 1,000 participating geniuses and 1,008 Immortal overseers gathered in the central square, a man in cyan robes with purple scales addressed them.

"The four levels have been decided. The Virtual Universe Company's Pinnacle Geniu Battle has concluded successfully!" he announced with a smile. "You are an extraordinary group. I believe that in the coming epochs, many of you will achieve fame across the universe."

He continued, "Someone will contact you shortly to take you to the Universe Headquarters of the Virtual Universe Company. From there, you will journey to the Original Universe."

With that, the event officially came to an end.

As the Immortal overseers departed, Wang Yi and the 1,000 newly-inducted core members of the Virtual Universe Company were taken to a meeting room. There, arrangements were made for their transport to the company's headquarters.

The journey to the headquarters would take approximately three years. Wang Yi, however, intended to visit his family on Earth first. He submitted his address in the Black Dragon Mountain Empire and planned his return to Earth, confident that the resources of the Virtual Universe Company would make the trip possible.

The future lay wide open for Wang Yi—a genius whose talent and destiny outshone even the brightest stars.
