With the fortress immobilized, dealing with it would be much simpler.

However, they couldn't let their guard down — no raising death flags!

They had to avoid those typical novel clichés like "What, we succeeded?" or "After this is over I'm going back home to get married" or "Wait for me, xxx"!

This was crucial!

Everyone needed to stay alert, form a containment perimeter carefully, and not get carried away!

Yet despite these concerns, someone was bound to do something foolish.

"We did it! What's this? I thought with such an impressive name like Mobile Fortress Destroyer it would be something scary, but this is really disappointing."

Aqua wore a disappointed expression.

"Even if it's weak, this thing still destroyed a country — the bounty must be huge! Come on, let's go back and celebrate with drinks!"

She waved dismissively at the cautious group, completely oblivious to the massive death flag she'd just raised!

Kazuma immediately lost it. He yelled angrily: "Hey, stupid Aqua! How can you say such cliché things?! Why are you raising death flags?!"

Right on cue! The previously silent Mobile Fortress, its eight legs now destroyed, began to violently shake again.

The ground began to tremble along with it.

"W-what's happening?"

[UNABLE TO DISSIPATE HEAT AND EXPEND MOBILITY ENERGY, ALL CREW PLEASE EVACUATE IMMEDIATELY!]

The mechanical voice echoed through the Mobile Fortress Destroyer as its body turned an ominous red — a clear warning of imminent explosion.

"W-what should we do, Adam!" Aqua frantically hugged him, trembling in fear.

"Sigh, you always make people worry like this." Adam pinched her soft cheeks with mixed exasperation and affection, both reproachful and doting.

His obvious favoritism toward Aqua drew meaningful glances from the others, especially Darkness, whose eyes gleamed with delight.

Ugh... This perverted knight must be imagining some unspeakable scenes in her mind again.

But there's no time to deal with her now.

This situation was also within Adam's expectations.

He needed to act before the town's adventurers could react — use〘Spatial Transfer〙to move the fortress into another dimension!

Though the baldy senior's notes were still up there, those useless diary entries would only irritate him if read. Better to transfer the whole thing!

This would also prevent Darkness from being forced into marriage by that disgusting lord, and keep Kazuma from becoming a wanted criminal.

Instead, they'd be hailed as heroes for repelling the Mobile Fortress Destroyer and saving the Starter Village!

"Step back everyone, I'll use magic to send it to another dimension."

After moving the party members to a safe distance, he quickly drew a massive magic circle around the Mobile Fortress Destroyer.

"Hmm, this should do it." Nodding with satisfaction, Adam prepared to cast the spell.

Clasping his hands together, he channeled his magical power to envelop the fortress, waiting for it to be transferred to another dimension.

Nothing happened. The fortress remained exactly where it was.

"Huh?" Adam was stunned.

"What's going on, why isn't Carter-senpai's magic working?!" Kazuma cried out in shock.

In his eyes, Adam had always been reliable. Though he occasionally proved as useless as the rest of them, he was their rock in most situations.

But clearly, this was one of those rare times when he couldn't help.

This situation was far worse than usual! The Mobile Fortress Destroyer was steaming ominously, its mechanical warnings blaring — it was about to explode!

Unlike being caught in one of Megumin's〘Explosion Magic〙blasts, this explosion would obliterate all of Axel!

This was catastrophic!

"I think it's because there isn't enough Magical Power." Wiz said, the former advanced magic instructor and current Lich, "The Mobile Fortress Destroyer is simply too massive. The magic circle requires an enormous amount of Magical Power to activate — that's why the transport failed."

"Ah, that's possible." Even Adam hadn't considered this problem.

To hide his trump cards, he rarely used magic in front of others.〘Spatial Transfer〙, being〘Yin Magic〙with limited combat utility, was something he had only learned recently and used even less frequently. His inexperience made sense.

So, what to do?

Aqua's silly head had a flash of inspiration, "If there isn't enough Magical Power, why don't we just increase it?"

Kazuma slapped his forehead, agreeing with her suggestion, "Oh right, even though Aqua is an idiot, she had a good idea this time."

"Indeed..." Adam could temporarily absorb large amounts of Magical Power.

However, another problem faced the group.

The「Arch-Wizard」Megumin and「Lich」Wiz had just used〘Explosion Magic〙, using up all 10 Manatites! This was quite the predicament!

"What should we do..."

"What can we do?!"

Throwing out these questions, everyone began to think hard.

Aqua opened her arms, and Adam naturally embraced her.

"Right." Pressing his hands against her back, feeling her steady heartbeat, he began absorbing power.

After a while, they separated.

The surge of high-level energy left him feeling distinctly uncomfortable. He attempted to analyze the Divine Power but found it impossible — even forced analysis gave no response.

'Never mind.'

Though disappointing, they had no time to waste.

He clasped his hands together, channeling magical power into the magic circle, activating the high-level〘Yin Magic〙!

◈ Spatial Transfer ◈

Unlike before, intense dark light formed a protective film, like a massive bowl covering the Mobile Fortress Destroyer. Space began fracturing from bottom to top until the enormous Destroyer vanished from sight.

Mobile Fortress Destroyer, interception complete!

Mission accomplished!
