Supremely Talented Tyrant

Chapter 716 The Driver with Malicious Intent

"Why haven't you scrammed yet?" Hao Jian asked coldly.

Sun Bingquan looked embarrassed, then let out a sigh and walked away with his head down and a dejected air.

"Miss Bai, do you have any other questions?" Hao Jian asked with a smile, the implication of which was crystal clear.

"You've got nerve!" Bai Yanrou said viciously, before picking up her bag and storming out of first class. She couldn't stand the sight of Hao Jian, as it made her blood boil.

Since she couldn't force Hao Jian to leave, she had no choice but to leave herself.

"Of course, I've got nerve, how else would I have kids?" Hao Jian said shamelessly. "As for you, try not to get angry so easily. Anger ages a woman and makes her ugly!"

At his words, Bai Yanrou almost stumbled, barely stopping herself from falling flat on her face. Glaring back at Hao Jian, her eyes were as sharp as knives.

But Hao Jian remained unmoved.

After Bai Yanrou had left, Hao Jian turned to Vivian with a playful grin, "Look, first class! Come on, have a seat. See how nice I am to you?"

Vivian rolled her eyes naturally, thinking to herself that it was only because the other person didn't want the seat that it fell to her—what did he have to do with it?

"What does that look mean? If I hadn't made her so mad, do you think you'd be sitting here? It was strategy, and you need to learn from me. Got you an upgrade without spending a dime—I had it all planned out!" Hao Jian boasted proudly.

But Vivian dismissed him, knowing he was full of lies, completely untrustworthy. Nevertheless, she took the seat beside Hao Jian—it was free, after all, and there was no reason to decline.

About an hour later, the plane landed.

Hao Jian and Vivian left the airport together, heading to Vivian's grandmother's house.

At that moment, a woman wearing a black trench coat and toad sunglasses sat not far from the airport.

Seeing her, a look of surprise flashed in Vivian's eyes, but it vanished as quickly as it had appeared.

And as soon as Vivian and Hao Jian exited the airport, Catherine finally began her action, speaking into her walkie-talkie, "The target has arrived. Start the operation!"

"Driver, head to XXX..." Hao Jian instructed as they got into the car.

The driver was a slightly overweight middle-aged man, his eyes squinting into slits, his mouth pointed like a groundhog's.

His eyes revealed disdain as he assessed Hao Jian and Vivian's ordinary attire. They didn't look like wealthy people.

He had hoped to make a decent sum off this fare, but now it seemed unlikely.

However, just then, he caught sight of the large, steel case Hao Jian was carrying. It was silver, resembling those cases shown in TV shows carrying important items.

The pudgy driver's eyes suddenly gleamed, a hint of greed flashing through as he imagined that Hao Jian's case must contain something valuable—possibly jewelry, maybe even cash.

And these two chaps dressed so plainly, probably to escape notice.

"Okay, hold tight!" the chubby driver happily responded, and then he floored the accelerator, and the car shot off.

During this process, Hao Jian also noticed that the chubby driver's gaze was somewhat odd, and he couldn't help but reveal a hint of a smile in his eyes, without exposing anything.

The car had been driving for over half an hour but was getting further and further away from the city, heading towards the suburbs. And the number of cars on the road was getting fewer, replaced by endless trees and wastelands.

"Why is this place getting more and more remote? Where on earth do you intend to take us?" Vivian also realized something was amiss and asked with a cold expression.

"This way is quicker; I'm saving you money," the chubby driver explained.

"You!" Vivian was about to erupt in anger. The chubby driver was obviously spouting nonsense. She had looked at the map before coming; if they had followed the original map, they should have already reached their destination, not circling around in the boonies.

But Hao Jian pulled Vivian back and said irritably, "Are you the driver or is he your driver? If the master driver is taking this route, there must be a reason. What's it to you?"

Hearing what Hao Jian said, Vivian was momentarily stunned, as if she also understood something and stopped talking.

"Yes, miss, I won't trick you," the chubby driver continued with a chuckle, polite on the surface but snickering inside. These simple-minded fools, they can't even match the wit of his own sister—deserve to be conned!

Clearly, he mistook Vivian and Hao Jian as siblings.

About twenty minutes later, the chubby driver suddenly picked up the walkie-talkie and said to the person on the other end, "Tell Old Liang to prepare two chickens for me, the fattest ones. I'll pick them up shortly, make sure everything's ready!"

Mingling in the Underworld, Hao Jian could tell that the chubby driver's words were coded language, signaling his accomplices.

The two chickens he mentioned were probably Vivian and himself, the fattest ones meaning they seemed wealthy, and saying he'll pick them up soon was hinting he was almost there, telling his people to be ready to move, and not to let them escape.

Still, Hao Jian acted as if he knew nothing, allowing the chubby driver to drive the car to the top of a deserted hill.

At that moment, Hao Jian and Vivian saw a group of youths wielding sticks waiting there—seven or eight people, each wearing a menacing expression. For they all knew two fat chickens were coming and were just waiting to slaughter them.

"Get out!" Once at the top of the hill, the chubby driver barked at Vivian and Hao Jian harshly.

"What, what are you doing? This isn't where we wanted to go!" Hao Jian immediately feigned panic, instinctively clutching his suitcase tighter.

Seeing Hao Jian's action, greed flared even more in the chubby driver's eyes; he believed there must be something valuable inside the suitcase!

Soon after, the chubby driver sneered and said, "This is exactly where you're supposed to come. Hand over all the money and mobile phones you have on you!"

"You, you tricked us?" Hao Jian feigned a mix of shock and anger.

Meanwhile, Vivian was rolling her eyes incessantly—what an exaggeration the guy was performing!

"Tricked you? Blame your own stupidity. Even your sister noticed something was wrong, yet you were fooled like an utter fool," the chubby driver laughed heartily, appreciating Hao Jian's current expression.
