Maze's annoying laughter rang as he fooled around against Erix in the battle.
Every time Erix executed his attacks, Maze easily escaped with his strange means and made a counterattack against Erix that Erix couldn't dodge.
Even if Erix stayed in Space Limbo, Maze's attack could penetrate through it and pull him out.
'Fuck!'
Erix roared and drew a single line before clasping his palms together, releasing a huge drill projectile with chaotic powers of Elements mixed within and boosted by his concept's effects.
The drill was not simple. It flashed right before Maze and went forward but instead of striking him, it passed through Maze, surprising him.
The second Maze had already appeared a kilometer away to dodge that attack, but…
'There!' Erix's eyes flashed as the Drill, traversing through Space Limbo, teleported directly at the real Maze and struck him.
"100 years too early for that."
Maze whispered, his voice coming at Erix from behind.
Erix made a quick chop behind him in a wide area, stretching open space where Maze stood before while his other hand drew a line with his Quill that transformed and vanished before conjuring a chaotic whirlpool around Maze.
Right after that, Erix's eyes flashed and he used his Bloodline's second ability—Paradoxical Pulse.
Paradoxical Pulse: Summon an eclipse dome in a large area where allies marked by the user receive a surge in vitality while also harnessing the paradox of creation and annihilation to unleash devastating damage over a wide area to enemies in an instant: Deals damage equivalent to 300% of Magic and Physical stat +boost by Spirit and Soul to enemies within the area of effect in a single instant.
Allies marked within the area receive a buff that increases physical recovery of all types by 50% for 30 seconds. -> Cost: 10 - 50 Blood Essence.
Erix directly used 50 Blood Essence as an instantaneous pulse spread out with a flash of eclipse dome around Erix.
This only lasted for an instant, but Maze was indeed struck by it.
"Not bad, not bad. It hurt me a bit, but consider it your first and last attack that managed to hurt me," Maze said, her eyes glinting. "Now…it's in your own best interest to try hard for defense because my counterattacks are going to be fast and deadly."
In the next moment, Erix felt a powerful blow at his head as his brain and consciousness were rattled and he was smacked on the ground with strange power infusing in his body.
Erix roared and began destroying that power with Nihilir internally to start healing and continue his fight against Maze as he shot up in the sky for another attack.

Five minutes more passed. Erix was worn out, completely spent, and for the first time in a long while, he was terribly injured in his soul and body as he suffered a big loss.
He lay on the ground, his eyes rolled upward, and his consciousness lost as he had fainted.

Rin sent Erix's body out of the pocket dimension as it appeared below Drenox Tree.
Aria bit her lips, her eyes concerned as she quickly started healing Erix and Amu aided in that.
"That was utterly one-sided," Amu sighed.
Isabella clenched her fists seeing Erix's injuries to his soul. She didn't know how Erix must have felt, though she knew it was anything but pleasant given how Maze fought from start to end.
Unlike Barak, Maze was going all out even in his state and had full intentions of toying Erix to death, which he did.
Rin went to battle next time and she chose Kristy as her opponent.
Nonetheless, she met the same end as Kenshin and Erix.
Kenshin woke up at the time to see Lilith's battle with Barak.
He just sat there silently and looked at the screen, watching Lilith and Barak fighting.
Lilith held her own for a long time, but she still lost against Barak ultimately.
Fortunately, her soul was powerful and she had awakened her spirit power's transformation, so her battle against Barak was good enough that it made Barak roar into laughter during the battle as she managed to strike him solidly.
But only once.
Lily fought Kristy next, and she gave more than her best.
Erix regained his consciousness, but he still felt weakness all over his soul and body.
It was a weary feeling stemming from his state of mind.
"I want to beat them," Erix muttered with a plain expression and weary eyes as he watched the battle of Lily and Kristy.
"But we can't right now," Rin rubbed her temples with her fingers, the light in her eyes dimmer than usual.
Lilith sighed and said, "Rushing won't help. The path to power is full of thrones and it is spread."
"We shall embark on it after removing these pirates after integration," Sameira said with a clenched fist as she held Kenshin's hand.
"That's right," Kenshin nodded. "We'll be starting integration tomorrow right after the remaining task is completed."
Everyone saw Lily's battle finished with her losing consciousness. Erix's flashed as he teleported her from pocket sanctuary to under the Dreanox Tree for her treatment.
Meanwhile, Barak, Kristy, and Maze entered the portal that Erix had created to enter the pocket dimension and exited before emerging from a portal outside of the Blessed Island.
However, they didn't even spare another glance at Erix and others before leaving.
Erix's gritted his teeth and said, "Tenebria said Shadow Bamboo Sanctuary is the best place for us to continue our journey. Once we are done integration, that's going to be our first destination."
"Mhm," Rin nodded with great frustration as her nails dug into her palm. "I want to meet them in the future again and win against them!"
They could live a lavish and peaceful life after integration because they would be able to eject pirates after that and rule the big world themselves.
But that was utterly foolish!
They wanted to see new heights of power and reach there!
"Alright, let's not wallow in our losses now. They are just better, and there are many better people out there," Lilith narrowed her eyes. "But we are not out of the game. Let's finish integration and then we'll begin our new journey."
"We have much to see, feel, and experience to build ourselves."
