Kent spent the remainder of the day at the Ron family estate, seated at the head of the grand dining hall.
The atmosphere was light and joyous as the women of the Ron family marveled at the unique treasures Kent had gifted them. Each item was intricately designed and brimming with magical properties—enchanted rings, shimmering robes, and mysterious scrolls with magical power. The women were in awe, each gift carrying a personal touch from Kent himself.
More than gifts, the family is happy that a supreme magus chose their family girl. Now, their status as Prime family is strengthened.
The Ron family women were overjoyed, bowing in gratitude, and John Ron, the family patriarch, could barely contain his pride. He arranged a lavish meal in Kent's honor, with tables laden with rich meats, exotic fruits, and the finest wines the province had to offer. Find your next read at empire
"Thank you for your generosity, Young Master Kent," John Ron said, raising a glass. "We are forever in your debt."
Kent nodded in acknowledgment, sipping from his wine, his mind already turning toward the future.
As the evening wore on, John Ron and Kent shared a quiet moment away from the rest, standing in the courtyard beneath the moonlit sky.
"Please tell the matter, Young master Kent. No one can hear us now." Patriarch John said in a low tone.
"I'll be leaving the Blue Planet soon—likely for a year or more." Kent said, his voice lowering as he turned to John.
John's face tensed with concern. "I see… but what about the feud with the Supreme Wand Magus, Alaric and you? After what happened earlier, I fear he may try to retaliate against my family in your absence."
Kent's eyes flickered with a dangerous light. "I'm not worried about Alaric. If he tries anything, the Supreme Sword Magus will help you. He won't allow anyone to harm your family while I'm away."
John's shoulders relaxed, his trust in Kent unwavering. "Hahahaha… How can I forget this? You are his relative and secret disciple. Thank you, young master Kent. We will always stand by you. Whatever happens, know that the Ron family will be ready."
Kent gave a slight nod.
"Good." Kent didn't try to correct him about his relationship with Supreme Sword Magus.
"By the way, before I leave this planet, I will drop some of my people here. I hope you will take care of them like your family." Kent said in a serious tone while staring at John Ron.
John immediately nodded his head without a second thought,
After spending a few more hours with Jia, Kent decided to leave before the night.
Jia asked him to stay for the night, but Kent refused as he had very few days left. He promised to stay one day before leaving and took his leave.
Later, Kent ascended to the skies on his golden throne, the Ron family stood in awe, watching him disappear into the night clouds, his figure bathed in a soft, golden glow. John Ron's heart was filled with gratitude, yet a part of him remained uneasy about what the future held.
Meanwhile, outside the Ron family estate, Kelly Kan's frustration grew. She had spent the entire day trying to gain entry to see Kent, but the Ron family's higher status had made it impossible for her to get close.
Her heart sank as she watched the grand estate from a distance, knowing that Kent was inside, so close yet so far. She had waited too long—long enough that she missed her chance to speak with him. And now, the news of his impending departure filled her with regret.
Determined not to leave without seeing him, Kelly finally spotted Kent flying overhead on his golden throne. Without hesitation, she gathered her energy and leapt into the air on her pet, chasing after him with everything she had. Her magical aura flared as she flew on her pet, the wind whipping through her hair as she pushed herself to catch up.
"Kent!" she called out, her voice tinged with desperation.
After several tries, Kent finally heard the lady's voice from a distant background.
Kent slowed his throne and turned, his eyes narrowing as he spotted her. His expression was cold and unreadable as he hovered in the sky, waiting for her to approach. Kelly's heart raced as she finally caught up, her face flushed and her breath uneven.
"Kent," she said again, this time softer, her voice trembling with emotion. "I… I'm sorry."
Kent stared at her, his golden eyes piercing. "What do you want?" His voice was calm but distant, as if he already knew what she had come for.
Kelly's chest tightened. The past enmity between them had weighed on her, but now, standing before him, she realized just how much that weight had burdened her heart. Her gaze dropped to the ground, and for the first time, the proud mage of the Kan family felt truly small.
"I wanted to apologize," she whispered, tears threatening to spill from her eyes. "For everything. The feud between us… it was my fault. I… I just want to make things right."
Kent remained silent, his gaze unwavering. Then, after a long pause, he spoke, his voice cold and firm. "I'm not the one you should be apologizing to."
Kelly's head snapped up, confusion etched across her face. "What do you mean?"
"You need to apologize to Fatty Ben. He's the one who was wronged by you and your sister, not me." Kent said, his tone leaving no room for argument.
Kelly's heart sank even further. Fatty Ben—the name alone brought a bitter taste to her mouth. She had looked down on him, mocked him for his appearance and beaten him. But now, with his recent rise as the inheritor of the Fortune God's legacy, everything has changed. Ben was no longer the weak, pitiful man she had once ridiculed.
"I… I understand," Kelly whispered, her voice barely audible.
Kent gave her one last look, his eyes filled with disappointment, before turning away. "If you truly mean to make amends, then do it right."
And with that, Kent was gone, leaving Kelly hovering in the sky, her heart heavy with shame and regret.
Back at the Kan family estate, Kelly found her younger sister Julia waiting anxiously for her return. The moment Kelly touched down, Julia rushed to her side.
"Sister, what happened? Did you see Kent? How is it, did you beat him?" Julia asked, her eyes wide with excitement.
"Phat…" A loud resounding slap fell on Julia's face in the next second.
"Sister!?" Julia was stunned as she placed palms on her cheeks.
"I should have done this a long time ago." Kelly muttered with a determined look.
