Chapter 93: LA show IV

The final note of Sugar faded into the air, and Ethan stood at center stage, drenched in sweat, his chest heaving from the energy he'd poured into the performance. The crowd roared, their cheers shaking the very foundations of the arena. He took a moment to bow slightly, his hand brushing through his damp hair, a boyish grin spreading across his face as he basked in the thunderous applause.

But just as the noise began to fade, a familiar beat started pulsing through the speakers, and the crowd collectively gasped. It was a beat they all knew—a rhythm that had been the soundtrack of so many memories.

Ethan adjusted the microphone in his hand, glancing back at the band with a sly smile as the opening notes of Ed Sheeran's Shape of You filled the space. The reaction was instant. Screams erupted once again, louder than before, and a ripple of movement spread through the audience as fans recognized the song.

Ethan stepped forward, his voice smooth as he began the first line:

🎵 "The club isn't the best place to find a lover,

So the bar is where I go..." 🎵

The crowd erupted into a deafening chorus, their voices blending seamlessly with his. Thousands of fans sang along to every word, their faces glowing with excitement as they jumped, clapped, and swayed to the music.

Ethan moved across the stage, his steps fluid and confident, feeding off the energy of the crowd. He pointed his microphone toward the audience during the verse, letting them sing:

🎵 "Me and my friends at the table doing shots,

Drinking fast and then we talk slow..." 🎵

The arena became a symphony of voices, the fans harmonizing with Ethan in a way that made it feel like one massive family. Ethan grinned, holding his hand to his ear as if to tease them to sing louder, and they responded with a roar, their enthusiasm lighting up the venue.

As the pre-chorus began, Ethan's voice softened slightly, his tone playful yet captivating. He leaned into the mic, his delivery dripping with charm:

🎵 "And you come over and start up a conversation with just me,

And trust me, I'll give it a chance now..." 🎵

The arena vibrated with the stomp of feet, the claps of hands, and the collective sway of bodies. Fans raised their phones, their flashlights creating a sea of twinkling stars that seemed to dance with the beat.

Then came the chorus, the moment everyone had been waiting for. Ethan's voice surged, carrying the crowd with him:

🎵 "I'm in love with the shape of you,

We push and pull like a magnet do..." 🎵

The audience sang back with wild abandon, their voices filling every inch of the space. It was electric—an experience that transcended the ordinary. Ethan's gaze swept across the crowd, his eyes landing on pockets of fans jumping in sync, their hands raised high as they sang every word like it was their anthem.

Ethan spun around mid-chorus, his energy boundless, his connection to the music and the crowd palpable. His voice carried effortlessly over the crowd's singing, yet it felt like he was part of the choir, not above it.

As the bridge approached, Ethan's movements slowed, and he stood still, allowing the audience to carry the melody. He held the microphone out toward them, and they responded with all their might:

🎵 "Come on, be my baby, come on,

Come on, be my baby, come on..." 🎵

The chant grew louder, an unstoppable wave of sound that surged through the arena. Ethan stood at the edge of the stage, his arms outstretched, as though embracing the moment, his face lit with an almost childlike wonder at the sheer power of it all.

When he rejoined them for the final chorus, his voice was a tidal wave of emotion, lifting the crowd higher than they'd thought possible:

🎵 "I'm in love with the shape of you,

We push and pull like a magnet do..." 🎵

The lights flickered in time with the music, bathing the crowd in bursts of vibrant color. The band played with precision, their rhythm in perfect sync with Ethan's performance.

As the song reached its explosive conclusion, Ethan dropped to his knees at the center of the stage, his final note stretching out as confetti cannons exploded, showering the crowd in a rain of glittering gold and silver. The screams that followed were deafening, a cacophony of joy and awe.

Ethan rose to his feet, his chest heaving, his face glowing with exhilaration. He pointed at the audience, his grin infectious. "LA, you're the best!" he shouted into the mic, and the response was a thunderous roar that seemed to shake the very air.

Behind the stage, Jessica and Bill exchanged glances.

"He's unstoppable," Jessica murmured, her voice tinged with awe.

Bill simply nodded, a broad smile on his face as he watched Ethan take in the adoration of thousands. "This," he said, his voice full of conviction, "is only the beginning."
