Chapter 1: Ninja Village – Ninja School
Iruka stood at the front of the classroom, his usual stern expression softened by a hint of concern. "Tomorrow is the graduation exam," he announced, scanning the room. "Do any of you have questions?"
The students below immediately flipped through their textbooks, scrambling to find problems they couldn't solve. The air was thick with the tension of last-minute cramming. But among them, one student sat motionless, lost in thought—Uzumaki Naruto.
*Am I dreaming?* Naruto wondered, his gaze drifting across the room. *This looks just like a scene from Naruto…*
His eyes landed on familiar faces: Iruka, Hinata, Sasuke, Sakura. The sight sent a jolt of disbelief through him. *That's… Iruka… Hinata… Sasuke… Sakura… And…*
Before he could finish his thought, Iruka's voice cut through the silence.
"Naruto! Naruto!"
Naruto blinked, startled. *Is he calling me?* He hesitated for a moment before standing up, his movements uncertain. "What's the matter?"
Iruka raised an eyebrow, his tone a mix of exasperation and disbelief. "Naruto, tomorrow is the graduation exam. Do you even know what you're doing?"
"Tomorrow is the graduation exam?" Naruto repeated, his voice tinged with confusion. "Huh?"
Iruka sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Naruto, you've already failed twice. Do you want to repeat another year?"
The classroom fell silent—an eerie, heavy quiet that lasted only a moment before laughter erupted. Naruto's cheeks burned as he looked around. Everyone was laughing at him. Even in a dream, the humiliation stung.
*Wait…*
Just as anger began to bubble up inside him, Naruto noticed someone who wasn't laughing. Hinata. She was looking at him, her lavender eyes filled with concern. Their gazes met, and her face instantly turned crimson. She quickly lowered her head, her fingers fidgeting nervously.
*Kawaii…*
Without a second thought, Naruto stood up, ignoring Iruka's shouts and the stunned expressions of his classmates. He walked straight toward Hinata, his heart pounding in his chest.
"Na… Hinata…" he began, his voice trembling slightly.
Hinata looked up, her confusion evident. "Naruto?"
Naruto took a deep breath, his resolve hardening. "I like you the most."
The words hung in the air, echoing in the silence that followed. *I like you the most. I like you the most. I like you the most…!*
Hinata's eyes widened, her face a picture of shock. Her mind went blank, unable to process what had just happened.
The classroom was frozen in time. You could hear a pin drop. *Did Naruto just confess to Hinata… in the middle of class?!*
But Naruto wasn't done. Bold as ever, he gently lifted Hinata's chin and—kissed her.
Iruka finally snapped out of his daze, his voice booming. "Enough!"
The other students were petrified, their young minds shattered by Naruto's audacity. Some were envious, some were in awe, and some were downright furious.
As for Naruto, the moment his lips met Hinata's, his mind went blank. *So… this is what kissing feels like?* he thought, dazed. *It's… beautiful. This dream feels so real. I hope I never wake up.*
Hinata, finally processing what had happened, instinctively pushed Naruto away. Her face was as red as a ripe peach, making her look even more adorable.
Naruto grinned, his confidence unshaken. "I like you, Hinata!"
Iruka, now fuming, stormed over and grabbed Naruto by the ear. "You don't pull that kind of stunt in my class!"
"Ow, ow, ow! That hurts!" Naruto yelped, his voice tinged with disbelief. *This dream is too real! I can even feel pain?!*
Iruka dragged him toward the door, his grip firm. "Get out! Come to my office after class!"
With one final shove, Naruto was thrown outside. The door slammed shut behind him with a resounding *BANG!*
Naruto stood there, rubbing his ear. *Stand outside and reflect? Like hell I will! Who listens to teachers in a dream anyway?* Making a face at the closed door, he turned and ran off, his spirits high.
*So, this is the ninja school?* he thought as he wandered the village. It looked… small. Compared to the towering skyscrapers of his old world, these buildings felt almost quaint. But there was something charming about it.
As he explored, jumping from place to place, a growing sense of unease settled over him. *If this is a dream… why does everything feel so real?*
He stopped on a quiet street, the few pedestrians giving him looks of disgust. Some actively avoided him, stepping aside as if he carried some kind of plague. Every expression, every building—each detail felt distinct and vivid.
Then, the scent of food wafted from a nearby shop, and his stomach growled. *This is really a dream?*
Panic crept over him. Naruto frantically looked around, searching for something—anything—that would confirm this wasn't real. But there was nothing. Only the unfamiliar yet beautiful architecture, the lively atmosphere…
He raised his hand and bit his finger. *It hurts.* He slapped himself in the face. *Still hurts!*
Looking up at the vast, blue sky, Naruto felt a storm raging in his heart. *I… really came to the world of Naruto!*
For a long moment, he stood there, speechless. Then, he let out a mix of a laugh and a curse. "This is insane!"
*Wait… If this is real… then that means… Chakra exists in my body?!*
Naruto shut his eyes and concentrated. He could feel it—an unfamiliar energy flowing inside him. But then, another thought struck him. *If I'm here… what happened to the me in my original world?*
Was he still there? Or… had he just disappeared? Naruto sighed. *Forget it… I was an orphan in that world anyway. What difference does it make? My old name doesn't matter anymore. From now on, I'm Uzumaki Naruto!*
For an orphan, home is wherever he stands. He had grown used to drifting from place to place.
"Naruto! Stop right there!" Iruka's voice rang out from behind him.
Naruto spun around, his eyes wide. *If this is real… then that means I just—*
"I kissed Hinata!" he blurted out, a grin spreading across his face. "I confessed to Hinata! I even ran away from school!"
None of that mattered anymore—what mattered was that he had kissed Hinata! In his old life, he had always been insecure. He had never had a girlfriend. This was his first-ever confession… and he even stole the girl's first kiss!
*Damn, that was exhilarating!*
Naruto was still reeling from the shock when—
*BAM!*
Iruka tackled him. "Naruto! I told you to stand in the hallway and reflect! And you dared to run off?! Explain yourself!"
Naruto panicked. "I-I-I… I misheard! I thought you told me to go home and wait!"
Iruka scowled. "That's the worst excuse I've ever heard. Now come back with me, and get ready for your punishment!"
