Chapter 152: Avengers XVII
'Okay, I'll get this guy,' Dave mumbled as he looked at the profile of Aizen Sosuke, the mastermind from the Bleach anime. Dave wasn't entirely sure if this guy could be a good leader, but he knew Aizen was a master manipulator who could deceive anyone into thinking they were doing the right thing.
"But damn, he's expensive," Dave muttered as he saw the 200,000 points required to summon him with absolute loyalty. "If I mess this up, who knows what he'll do. Probably unleash Bankai on any politician and bring them to our side"
After a moment of hesitation, Dave finalized his choice, deciding to take a chance on someone with such a high level of intelligence and cunning. "I've got the guy," Dave said confidently.
Tony raised an eyebrow, curious. "Who is it?"
"He's in Japan," Dave replied, dodging the question with a sly grin. Instead of summoning Aizen directly, Dave chose to summon him with a pre-established identity and life in the Marvel universe. The system generated an identity for Aizen, placing him in Japan as a respected dojo master.
"Alright, I'll get the background checks done," Tony said, shaking his head as Dave nodded in agreement.
"Background check? That guy is a master manipulator," Dave said, smirking. "He can convince you that killing your wife is the right thing to do."
Tony raised an eyebrow. "Sounds dangerous."
Dave shrugged. "Maybe, but he's better than anyone else we could find."
Captain America, who had been quietly listening, frowned. "Are you sure about this?" Steve asked.
Dave nodded confidently. "I am. He's powerful and smart. We need someone like him."
Tony sighed. "Alright, so how are we getting there?" he asked.
Dave smirked, pulling out a teleportation amulet provided by his system. With a flick of his wrist, the car they were in came to a stop, and he gestured to the surroundings. "We're here."
Tony and Steve stepped out, looking around. "Wait, we're in Japan?" Tony asked, glancing at the unfamiliar scenery.
Dave nodded. "Let's go meet our guy," he said, leading the way toward the dojo the system had set up for Aizen.
They walked, taking in the unfamiliar scenery. Steve glanced around, marveling at the surroundings. "Your powers really are something else," he said.
Dave shrugged nonchalantly. "Comes in handy."
"Why don't we grab something to eat now that we're here?" Tony suggested.
Dave nodded in agreement, and the group started looking for a restaurant. Steve trailed behind, muttering, "At least ask if I want something too." He sighed and followed them anyway.
After a quick meal in a quiet diner, Tony leaned back in his chair, smirking. "I bet you used this teleportation trick to dine in whatever countries you want anytime."
Dave chuckled, shrugging. "Maybe. Who's asking?"
Soon, they arrived at their destination: a serene dojo tucked away in a quiet neighborhood in Kyoto. The building was surrounded by traditional architecture, blending seamlessly into the tranquil setting.
As they approached, they heard the sound of a commanding voice and rhythmic shouts from inside.
"Hyaaah!"
Tony raised an eyebrow, smirking. "Sounds like your guy is teaching in there."
Dave gave a small nod, leading the way up to the doors. He paused, then knocked firmly.
When the doors opened, they were greeted by the sight of Aizen Sōsuke, instructing a group of students. His movements were graceful yet powerful, and his presence commanded respect. He dismissed the students with a few calm words in Japanese before turning his sharp gaze toward the visitors.
"You must be the ones I've been expecting," Aizen said smoothly, switching to English. He looked at Dave, studying him carefully. "So, you're the one who brought me here."
Dave gave him a slight nod. "That's right. I think you and I can help each other."
Aizen's lips curved into a faint smile. "I see. Let's talk."
They soon arrived at a quiet space within the dojo, a traditional Japanese-style room with tatami mats and low tables. The serene ambiance was complemented by the faint scent of incense and the warm glow of paper lanterns.
Dave settled easily into the seiza position, his posture relaxed as if it were second nature. Meanwhile, Tony and Steve struggled awkwardly to sit on the floor, clearly unused to the formal style.
"Ugh, how do people do this without breaking something?" Tony grumbled, shifting uncomfortably and trying to find a position that didn't strain his knees.
Steve, ever the soldier, attempted to sit properly but eventually gave in, crossing his legs instead. "Guess this wasn't covered in basic training," he said, giving Dave a side-eye.
Dave smirked, watching their struggles. "Cultural experience, gentlemen. Enjoy it."
As they adjusted, Aizen entered the room with the same graceful aura he'd displayed earlier. He sat effortlessly, his movements calm and deliberate, and gestured for them to speak.
"So," Aizen began, his voice smooth and composed. "What brings the three of you to my humble dojo? I'm curious to hear your proposal." His sharp eyes glinted with interest as he looked at Dave, the apparent leader of the group and his Master too.
However, Aizen had already received the telepathic communication from Dave, instructing him not to call him "master," so he acted as a stranger to him now, maintaining a more neutral stance.
"You must've heard about the invasion in New York, right?" Dave asked.
Aizen nodded calmly. "Yes, I saw it. Some weaklings were invading us," he replied, his tone steady and unbothered.
Tony raised an eyebrow, looking at Aizen. "Weaklings? You call them weak? We took down quite a few formidable threats ourselves." He chuckled, still unaware of the true extent of Aizen's power.
Dave merely shrugged. 'Well, of course, I didn't send 200k points on a weak figure,' he thought to himself. He was keenly aware of Aizen's immense power—one of the strongest figures from Bleach, a man who had defeated countless foes and even claimed the title of "True King" in his own world.
Aizen's composure never wavered, his eyes fixed on Dave. "I see. You clearly have a reason for seeking my assistance. What is it you propose?"
The atmosphere in the room shifted as Dave prepared to lay out his plans.
