Chapter 778 - 772: This is Madness, Right? (Part 3)
Chapter 778: Chapter 772: This is Madness, Right? (Part 3)
At the beginning, no one paid much attention to what Finn Lewis was doing, although it was quite a fuss. Besides Suleiman Cooper, no one paid much attention to Finn Lewis.
“Your Highness, the Locke Family has built an ecological system for him in front of his villa. They say it’s because he wants to plant some things from his hometown there,” a middle-aged man stood before Suleiman and respectfully said.
“From his hometown? Isn’t his hometown just a native planet? Is there anything especially noteworthy?” Suleiman asked, with a puzzled expression.
“I’m sorry, Your Highness, based on the information we’ve obtained from that person, it is just a regular planet with nothing worth planting. In fact, nearly everything there is far inferior to the top products of the Galactic Federation,” the middle-aged man shook his head and explained.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, Your Highness. I’m very certain. I’ve had people double-check the information we have in hand,” the middle-aged man responded very clearly.
“It seems that once a native, always a native. Even if he’s gained royal status, he still can’t wash away his native identity and lacks insight. He’s even planting things from his hometown, how laughable,” Suleiman sneered.
“Your Highness, I think you’re overthinking it. Although Shaoning Locke is quite close to him, for Shaoning Locke, this man is probably just a tool to annoy you. He could be easily replaced,” the middle-aged man said with a smile.
“Haha, you’re overthinking it. And how can you insult him? After all, he is the only Nine Star Royal in our Galactic Federation. You can’t describe him as a small insect,” Suleiman laughed.
“Yes, Your Highness, it’s not appropriate to call him a small insect. I misspoke. Perhaps a big bug, or maybe a stink bug?” the middle-aged man laughed along with his lord.
Finn Lewis, of course, didn’t know about the reputation he had amongst Suleiman and his folks, but even if he did, he wouldn’t care. Can you really expect your enemy to praise you? Forget it. Would you think Suleiman is generous-hearted? At least, Finn Lewis didn’t believe so.
Despite Finn Lewis’s absence from school these past few days, everything he had instructed was being carried out to the letter. Firstly, the villas surrounding Finn Lewis’s own had been razed. Then, all the hillsides began to be planted with the items Finn Lewis had specified. Once these items, determined by Finn Lewis, started being transplanted onto the hillsides, the entire aristocratic academy went into an uproar.
“Am I seeing things? Are those Thuja Plicata?”
“You’re not hallucinating. And not only are these Thuja Plicata, but there’s a whole mountainside of them too. It’s rumored that the reason this Nine Star Royal cleared out the hillsides was he wasn’t fond of the scenery atop these hills. But could you tell me if he truly imported all these Thuja Plicata just to improve the view for the next few years? It’s ridiculous just thinking about the cost.”
“Well, I can somehow come to terms with that. But could you tell me, what’s the purpose of the ecosystem he set up in front of his villa? Shouldn’t such ecosystems be used by advance bases in space, to create conditions for human colonization? Why is he setting up one on the ground?”
“You didn’t know this, did you? Let me enlighten you. Well, I’ll tell you why our prince did this. He mentioned that he set up this ecosystem because he couldn’t get used to Galactic Federation food. By establishing this ecosystem, he could grow some food from his hometown.”
“Get out of here. He spent millions building an ecosystem just to grow vegetables? And these veggies seem to be just regular plants?”
“You’re not wrong. And the rumors go further, claiming the soil was transported from his own planet. The prince was afraid that trace elements in the local soil might affect the taste of the food.”
“…”
“…I don’t even know what to say anymore. I just want to ask, prince, do you even realize how impressive you are, and does your mother know about this?”
“Good lord, this is outrageous. But I was wondering – is he insane? He spent billions of federal coins just to grow crops? And these are junk food that provides nearly no dietary benefits to the human body? If this isn’t madness, then what is?”
“I don’t know if he’s insane, but do you know how much he’s investing in the construction company?”
“How much?”
“How much do you think such a project would cost, if fully undertaken?”
“These aren’t big projects, right? If all is done, excluding the cost of the plants themselves, it should be around twenty million federal coins, right?”
“Yes, the number should be around there. However, the prince simply said, ‘I need time and efficiency. Here’s a hundred million. I don’t care how you manage it, but if you can’t complete it within the time I specified, and with high quality, there’s only one outcome. I’ll find another company. Money isn’t the issue, but if you can’t finish my work, that’s your problem.’
“…Even though I haven’t really heard about this prince before, why does it feel so domineering and incredible?”
“He’s absolutely outrageous. I suddenly feel like he’s so rich. Spending so much money just so he could enjoy the scenery a little more, and taste the food he’s used to… His net worth must be estimated in the hundreds of billions, right?”
“Hundreds of billions? Are you kidding me? I think you must mean in star credits instead.”
“Damn, is it even possible to exaggerate that much? Hundreds of billions of star credits for a native planet? Are you even serious?”
The school’s forum was completely set ablaze. Everyone was overwhelmed by Finn Lewis’s actions because from a normal person’s perspective, it was simply unbelievable. Who on earth would do such a thing if not a lunatic?
Damn it, it must be madness, right?
“You bunch of idiots, don’t insult my prince. My prince, I’ve made up my mind. I’m coming to your villa tonight, I want to bear your child. Don’t listen to them, they don’t understand your lifestyle.”
“Ew, get lost, are you even embarrassed? Isn’t this just blatant boot-licking?”
“Well, if boot-licking earns money, I’m willing to do it, too.”
“Oh damn, breaking news, breaking news, the prince is coming to class. Come to the aristocratic history classroom and gawk.”
