Chapter 775 - 769: Starry Sky Group
Chapter 775: Chapter 769: Starry Sky Group
How big was Stellar Group? Finn Lewis did not know. But based on their property value, it should amount to at least several tens of trillions, perhaps even a hundred trillion star credits. Despite this staggering wealth, Finn was convinced that the bill wasn’t a small sum to them.
“Yes, your highness. I need to handle these matters myself. However, if I proceed according to your instructions, I’m afraid you will not be able to reside here temporarily.” Violet Davis had put all other thoughts out of her mind. It wasn’t time for her to be considering other issues. Her current focus was settling these matters for Finn.
“I will stay in Blue Bird City.” Finn nodded.
“Then I’ll be on my way.” Violet decisively bid Finn farewell, then turned and left.
After Violet left, there was no one else by Finn’s side. It was then that Kay Lee came over, looking puzzled. “Why are you doing this?” she asked.
“What, I can’t enjoy being a spendthrift? I didn’t get to do it on Earth, so why not take the chance now?” Finn said, laughing heartily.
“Don’t try to fool me, I know you all too well! Although you definitely love squandering money, such prodigal behavior rarely happens. Especially what you’re doing now, most of the time it seems like…” Kay glared at Finn but then abruptly stopped.
“Seems like what? Like a fool with too much money?” Finn chuckled and asked.
“Yes, exactly.” Kay nodded. Then, driven by curiosity, she asked, “Just tell me why. I don’t believe you would spend money recklessly for no reason.”
“Hehe, we just arrived here, our foundation is shallow, and we have a lot of cash on hand. But this money is of no use if it isn’t spent. But it’s not that easy to spend it. You see, many times, even if you want to spend money, there’s just nowhere to spend it, right? So, for the next while, you’ll have to come with me and splurge.” Finn said, grinning.
“Not me! I don’t want to ruin my image. You go squander your money. I want to find something to do. I checked with the Luna Starfield when I came here, and I want to set up a trade company here to establish trade with the Solar System. This way, we can help stimulate the development of technology there.” Kay said thoughtfully.
“Hmm, that’s my wise wife!” Finn gave Kay a thumbs up.
“Pssh, you’re just lazy. Besides, since you’re going to school here, there’s not much for me to do. I need to keep busy.” Kay shrugged.
“Haha, I have faith in you. I’ll help you find some merchants. Trust me, people will soon come knocking.” Finn said smugly.
“Alright, I’ll leave you to it. Just one more thing…” Kay pondered, then finally spoke up.
“What’s up?” Finn asked, looking at Kay.
A faint blush appeared on Kay’s face before she impatiently blurted out, “I want to have your child. Our parents told us before we left, if we come back without a child, they’ll probably break your legs.”
“Hehe, that’s not a problem. Let’s go start creating a little one.” Finn chuckled, then bent down to pick up Kay. The mansion was currently empty, but wasn’t there a hovercar? It definitely had enough space inside to accommodate a bed.
Kay let out a gasp before being whisked into the hovercar by Finn. By the time Finn and Kay finished and cleaned up, several large spaceships had drifted over the academy, attracting many students to watch.
Most students recognized these ships. Just like scaffolding is common worldwide on Earth, these construction spaceships are common the world over. They are used for most construction within the Galactic Federation.
Primarily, they proved convenient for transportation and construction, whether that be transporting materials or workers. However, it was unusual for such a spaceship to appear in a school. After all, this was a noble academy, and many things here had been maintained for hundreds of years and had not changed. Why would these ships come here?
But since the spaceships had made it over the academy, it suggested that they had registered with the academy. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have been allowed to fly over.
Don’t think the academy was harmless based on its current state. Almost all the students here were direct heirs to nobles and the royal family. How could they not be concerned about their safety? In fact, the hidden defense forces within the academy would horrify you, it’s just they were currently concealed.
The appearance of these unfamiliar construction spaceships in the academy was an unprecedented event for many students. Most teachers, let alone students, had never seen such a thing.
Thus, the arrival of these construction spaceships quickly attracted the attention of countless students. Although they were construction ships, they moved quickly as spaceships normally do. Even though they had slowed down because they were in the airspace of the noble school, they reached their destination within a few minutes.
When the six construction spaceships reached an altitude close to the villas where Finn was, something astonishing happened. The work hatches of the spaceships were opened, and a gravitational force field instantly destroyed the main body of the villas on the mountainside.
Then the tractor beams started operating, facilitated the clean-up process, sucking all the debris directly into the ship. As such action was going on, all the students who were observing gasped, “What the hell is going on? Are they planning to tear down these buildings and rebuild them?”
Before they could complete their thoughts, something that rendered them speechless happened. Tractor beams began a new operation, removing every tree on the hillside entirely, including the soil wrapped around their root systems, all of which was sucked into the ship.
