Super Gene Ⅱ: Evolution

Chapter 236 - 236: Blood Prison King

Chapter 236: Chapter 236: Blood Prison King

Lin Shen’s punch wasn’t merely a simple punch.

He had been using Stepping on the Immortal Court to dodge the hammer’s onslaught, and although he could have completely avoided it, he chose not to do so. Instead, he dodged the critical spots and used the hammer’s force to temper his carapace and enhance its strength.

At the same time, during this process, he was also accumulating force with Stepping on the Immortal Court.

Stepping on the Immortal Court is inherently a technique where each step is stronger than the last, sharing a unique harmony with the Overlapping Waves Skill.

It would be more accurate to say that Lin Shen had mastered the flexible use of Stepping on the Immortal Court rather than having comprehended the Overlapping Waves Skill.

With each step Lin Shen took, his momentum grew stronger, and after so many steps, his momentum had swelled like a colossal wave, as if to shock the heavens.

Under such stacking force, Lin Shen, whose strength was not much less than Liu Zhong’s to begin with, managed to send the hammer flying back with a full-power strike.

The continuous, wave-like force, akin to surges of giant waves, was so powerful that the hammer couldn’t be stopped. It smashed into the ground right in front of Liu Zhong, creating a large crater.

Instructor Mu’s eyes shone brightly, “You little rascal, having trained your Overlapping Waves Skill to such an extent, you didn’t show it during class, were you playing tricks on me?”

“Big brother, this guy is really quite strong,” the young girl said in surprise, looking at Tu Xiaodao.

“He was always strong, but such strength is still not enough to fight an Ascender, let alone to drive back Wan Shuiliu. It’s still a dead end,” Tu Xiaodao sighed.

“This punch is quite interesting,” Ximen Swordsman’s eyes narrowed to slits.

Seeing his own Life Base being smashed to the ground by a Mutator, Liu Zhong was immediately enraged.

With a grasp, the hammer flew back into his hand, and he was about to charge out to annihilate Lin Shen.

“I do not slay the nameless under my hand, Wan Shuiliu, there’s no need to send your men to their deaths,” Lin Shen stated indifferently.

“You’re seeking death,” Liu Zhong roared furiously at these words, charging out like a tiger released from its cage, hammering directly at Lin Shen’s head.

Lightning-like halos appeared on the hammer, a sign that Liu Zhong had imbued his innate ability onto the Life Base, determined to kill Lin Shen with a single blow.

Wan Shuiliu and the other Ascenders just watched, showing no intention of intervening.

Lin Shen was indeed very strong, an invincible existence among the Mutators, but still not impressive enough for the Ascenders.

The full force of Liu Zhong’s blow was not something Lin Shen could withstand.

Lightning tore across the sky, reaching Lin Shen’s head in an instant.

Yet, Lin Shen seemed to be too late to dodge as he watched Liu Zhong’s dual-grip swing from the heavens, the hammer’s electric light sparkling, seemingly about to crash on Lin Shen’s head.

At this moment, with no dodge in sight, everyone thought Lin Shen was done for.

But somehow, Liu Zhong inexplicably paused mid-air.

In just that moment of hesitation, Lin Shen’s figure suddenly moved. In an instant, his hand transformed Death Powder into a long spear, and he leaped up, crossing paths with Liu Zhong in mid-air.

Death Powder pierced through Liu Zhong’s throat, and as Lin Shen crossed paths with Liu Zhong in that split second, he reached from behind to grab Death Powder and pulled it out.

Liu Zhong fell heavily to the ground, clutching his profusely bleeding neck, struggling to rise, but it was already too late. Fresh blood gushed from his mouth, and the large hole in his neck spewed blood like a fountain – it was clear he was not going to survive.

Everyone was shocked; they hadn’t seen how Lin Shen had killed Liu Zhong.

Lin Shen’s strength was indeed formidable, even outrageously so–it was a power that Mutators should not possess.

But even such strength was only considered ordinary among Ascenders and wouldn’t normally be enough to easily kill Liu Zhong.

It appeared to them as if Liu Zhong hadn’t resisted at all, simply running into Lin Shen’s spear.

Just how Lin Shen managed it, they still hadn’t figured out.

“Wan Shuiliu, I’ve already said this, don’t send your underlings to their deaths,” Lin Shen said, holding his spear and pointing at Wan Shuiliu.

When Lin Shen said this before, all of the Wan Family’s Ascenders thought he was insane.

But now, with Liu Zhong lying beside them, not yet dead and his blood pooling on the ground, nobody could take Lin Shen’s words as the ramblings of a madman anymore.

“Your Teleporter isn’t bad,” Wan Shuiliu said calmly.

Lin Shen immediately felt a chill in his heart, realizing Wan Shuiliu had seen through his trick.

The spear strike just now was indeed not the true extent of his strength; he had simply opened a message on his watch when Liu Zhong charged, allowing Liu Zhong to see the Netherworld Sulfur Wolf’s grinning image sent by Red Heart A.

Liu Zhong instantly became confused, not offering any resistance, and was pierced through the neck by Lin Shen’s spear.

He had thought this tactic could be used once or twice more, but Wan Shuiliu had identified it much too quickly.

But so what if he had seen through it? As long as they viewed the footage, their minds would still be affected.

Unless they refused to look at Lin Shen, which would still leave Lin Shen with the upper hand.

Now that his tactic had been exposed, Lin Shen simply projected the image from his watch for all to see.

He had watched it many times, and with the help of Evolution Theory, he had become immune to the Sulfur Wolf’s grin; others, however, would inevitably be affected by it.

Sure enough, every person who saw the image of the Netherworld Sulfur Wolf’s grin paused with a vacant expression.

Without hesitation, Lin Shen charged towards Wan Shuiliu and the others, but before he could reach them, an eerie blood-colored particle rose from Wan Shuiliu’s body.

These blood-colored particles congregated above his head, forming an ancient Life Base with a thousand hands and eyes, three heads, and eight legs.

The blood-colored Life Base was demonic and ghost-like; its myriad arms unfolded, and each palm had an eye that was closed.

It had three heads: the frontal one resembled Buddha, the left one was a bird’s head, and the right a tiger’s.

The tiger head roared, and those who were beguiled by the Netherworld Sulfur Wolf’s grin snapped back to clarity with its roar.

The Buddha face at the front emitted murmurs akin to a devil’s whisper, and the sounds caused Lin Shen’s watch to fail its function, as if its energy had been depleted; the projected image disappeared on its own.

“Originally, I intended only to take your life, but you’ve used such despicable means to kill an Ascender of my Wan Family; now, even if you wish for death, it will not come. Flaying and bone-stripping will not pardon your crimes; I will make you experience all the pain in this world, unable to live or die…” As Wan Shuiliu spoke venomously, the demon-like Life Base opened the eyes on its hands, as if coming to life.

Blood-red eyes emitted a sinister blood-colored halo, like the gaze of malevolent spirits from hell.

“Seventh Turn Life Base… Blood Prison King…” Instructor Mu’s complexion changed drastically; he hadn’t expected Wan Shuiliu to use his Seventh Turn Life Base to deal with a single Lin Shen.
