Chapter 173 - 173 Aerial Battle

Chapter 173: Chapter 173 Aerial Battle

“`

“Damn, Tian is trapped,” those watching the battle felt things were looking grim.

Bai Shenfei also noticed that Lin Shen’s situation was dire and wanted to provide support, but regretfully, she couldn’t fly either.

Mo Shengqi and the other Mutators were anxious, wanting to help but unable to take to the skies, they could only vent their anger on the pets that were swarming them.

The gravity on the Realm King Planet was too strong, making it extremely difficult to project anything upwards; even with Bai Shenfei’s strength, affecting a battle at that altitude was hard to achieve, let alone for an ordinary Crystal Base.

Looking over at Jiweis’s side, the Red-clothed Evil Dragon Knight had already personally gone to meet the enemy, making it impossible for him to come back and rescue Lin Shen.

Being surrounded by hundreds of Flying Bull Knights in the sky, it looked impossible to escape.

All eyes were on Lin Shen, and those outside watching the battle also felt sorry for him.

Perpetual Motion Tian was perceived by them as just a more durable Alloy Mutator; surviving an onslaught from hundreds of Crystal Base Level enemies would require a miracle.

With the situation as it was, no one could rescue him, and even his pet was entangled by the Red-clothed Evil Dragon Knight, leaving absolutely no one to save him.

No one believed that Jiweis could quickly dispatch the Red-clothed Evil Dragon Knight and then rush back to save Lin Shen.

Because by now everyone could see that the Red-clothed Ultra-Burn Warrior riding the Evil Dragon was most likely the legitimate commander of the Ultra-Burning Corps.

With the strength to lead thirty thousand Ultra-Burn Warriors, his power was imaginable, and atop that, he had a pet Evil Dragon that was as black as crystal.

Just by looking, one could tell that the Evil Dragon pet was high-grade stuff, surely a Mutated Crystal Base, and whether in size, speed, or killing power, it was no match for a Flying Bull.

Jiweis, fighting the commander who rode the Evil Dragon in the air, would do well just to not get killed, let alone swiftly take down the commander and come to Tian’s aid—which was nearly an impossible task.

“Your companion is in danger. Leave this place to me, go and support him,” Ouyang Yudu said, glancing at Lin Shen in the sky.

“No need,” Wei Wufu simply replied, continuing to fight the Red-clothed Ultra-Burn Warriors who were charging relentlessly.

If it wasn’t for the two of them teaming up to face the Red-clothed Ultra-Burn Warriors’ successive charges head-on, the others would have probably broken through already.

Now if Wei Wufu left, with only Ouyang Yudu remaining, his energy expenditure would surely increase, shortening the time he could hold out—likely not until the countdown ended.

However, Wei Wufu’s decision not to leave wasn’t for this reason; it was because he understood Lin Shen and knew that if Lin Shen chose to act in that way, he must have had his reasons.

Moreover, he also knew that Lin Shen hadn’t really played his trump card yet—Lin Shen hadn’t even used his Innate Skill.

Wei Wufu was somewhat aware of Jiweis’s abilities; if the commander wasn’t riding an Evil Dragon pet, there might still be a chance.

But since he was riding a dragon-type pet, it was destined to be swiftly eliminated by Jiweis.

Therefore, Wei Wufu was not at all flustered, continuing to withstand the Red-clothed Ultra-Burn Warriors’ continuous charges.

Ouyang Yudu was somewhat puzzled, seeing Wei Wufu’s demeanor; he seemed to have a great deal of confidence in Tian.

“Could it be that Tian has yet to reveal his true strength? If that’s the case, this is going to be very interesting,” Ouyang Yudu’s clear eyes sparkled with excitement, occasionally glancing at Lin Shen who was besieged in the sky.

“You all really think I’m an easy target?” Lin Shen’s mouth twitched slightly, holding a certain contempt for that commander in his heart.

His vision was really poor; even though he was the main character, the commander had chosen to deal with Jiweis personally and left him to these small fries.

“`

“It’s time to show these foolish Minotaurs who the real protagonist is,” Lin Shen declared as he watched the Flying Bull Knights charging at him with their long spears, the pictographic characters on his body suddenly glowing brightly.

The next second, Lin Shen, his body glowing with characters, leaped from the back of the flying bull, dodging the spear of the oncoming Flying Bull Knight. He flipped over the knight’s head, while simultaneously slapping his palm towards the back of the knight’s head.

The Flying Bull Knight drew a short blade with his other hand, slashing towards Lin Shen above him.

He had thought that his blade would surely strike Lin Shen’s descending hand, but to his surprise, Lin Shen’s strike was half a beat slower than he had anticipated.

His short blade slashed through the air but missed Lin Shen’s hand, sending a chill through his heart.

Bang!

The Flying Bull Knight felt as if a heavy hammer had struck the back of his head, his brain thundering, the dizziness unbearable.

Lin Shen had already flipped behind him, effortlessly taking his Pet Launcher and stowing it in his backpack, then he quickly snatched both the Red Crystal Long Spear and the Red Crystal Short Blade, not forgetting to take the Red Crystal Bow and Arrows from his back as well.

Lin Shen had already been coveting these items; as a child, he often played archery games at the market.

He knew how to use a bow and arrows, and his aim was quite good. However, after playing for a while, he lost interest and hadn’t touched them for many years, unsure if his accuracy still held up.

After taking the items, he threw the dazed Ultra-Burn Warrior straight off the back of the flying bull.

Lin Shen, with a bow slung over his shoulder and several long spears, a short blade tucked at his waist, and hands wielding a Red Crystal Long Spear, had white characters emitting a fluorescent glow on his body, creating an eerie yet indescribable sense of harmony.

As the other Flying Bull Knights closed in from all directions, Lin Shen did not continue riding on the bull’s back but instead leaped into the air again.

Although he seemingly jumped forward, he actually tossed the spear in his hand backward.

The Flying Bull Knight charging from behind hadn’t anticipated such a move and collided with it at high speed.

Under the force of the impact, the long spear pierced through his chest.

In mid-air, Lin Shen drew another long spear and aimed it at an oncoming Flying Bull Knight.

The Flying Bull Knight thought the opportunity had come and didn’t fear a mere Alloy Mutator, lifting his long spear and charging at Lin Shen.

Before the two could clash, Lin Shen swiftly slapped the back of his spear, sending it flying out of his hands.

The Flying Bull Knight, startled by Lin Shen’s tactic, broke into a cold sweat and hastily dodged the thrust.

But Lin Shen had already reached above his head, stepping on his helmet, using it as leverage for another leap.

The Flying Bull Knight he stepped on let out a muffled sound as his Ultraburn Helmet was dented, and he fell headlong from the back of the flying bull.

Lin Shen gracefully leapt through the air, and somehow, the hundred-odd Flying Bull Knights could not touch him. Instead, he sent them tumbling, dispatching several knights in a short period.

This turn of events left the onlookers dumbfounded.

The Mutators below were both shocked and delighted. No one had expected an Alloy Mutator to kill several Crystal Base Ultra-Burn Warriors in mid-air, despite being heavily surrounded.
