Chapter 2: Chapter 2 - Yotsuya Miko, Scared to Tears

Rin Tohsaka's Bedroom

Rin Tohsaka sat on the edge of her bed, her face flushed with embarrassment, her body tense and stiff. Her hair was still damp, and she wore only a simple red nightgown. Kaito Sora, on the other hand, sat casually beside her, playfully holding her delicate, soft hand.

"Are you even capable of this?" Rin asked, clearly flustered. It was the first time a man had held her hand like this, and she was visibly struggling to keep her composure.

"Don't worry, time will prove my abilities," Kaito replied confidently.

Finally, as if the system itself deemed it time for them to take the next step, a notification appeared in Kaito's mind.

[Conditions met, triggering a new trait!]

[Congratulations, host! You have acquired the trait: Jade Cutter!]

[Jade Cutter]: A sword technique where every third strike generates a whirlwind effect, enhancing the attack's power.

Kaito felt a surge of memories related to swordsmanship flood his mind. A warm current flowed through his body, and he could feel his once-weak, ordinary student's physique visibly strengthening. Muscles began to form on his arms and legs, and his previously loose clothes now clung tightly to his body.

"Hiss..." Kaito couldn't help but inhale sharply at the exhilarating sensation.

Rin also noticed the changes in Kaito's body. Her eyes widened in a mix of shock and delight as she saw his chest muscles straining against his thin shirt.

"Could this ability really be so... indecent?" she thought to herself.

"Remember, don't resist," Kaito reminded her.

"I-I know! Just hurry up!" Rin blurted out, sounding like someone who couldn't wait any longer. But then, realizing how that sounded, she quickly added, "I'm just worried other Servants might show up. Don't get the wrong idea!"

"I know, I know," Kaito chuckled as he reached out and wrapped his arm around Rin's slender waist, pulling her into his embrace.

Rin's body stiffened instantly, trembling slightly but not resisting. Her lack of resistance only emboldened Kaito.

[Congratulations, host! You have acquired the trait: Rin's Divine Slash!]

[Congratulations, host! You have acquired the trait: Barrier Breaker!]

The Next Morning

Kaito slowly opened his eyes, savoring the memories of the previous night, and couldn't help but smile. He glanced down at Rin, who lay in his arms with tear-streaked cheeks, and eagerly checked his status panel.

Last night, after falling asleep, Kaito felt as though he had become the Sealed Demon Swordsman, Yone, experiencing his entire life. Yone's swordsmanship and combat experience had become his own.

Kaito raised his hand, and a sword with a blue hilt, its blade adorned with mysterious red runes, materialized in his grasp—Yone's Sword.

Gripping the hilt, Kaito felt as though he was holding an extension of his own arm.

"Mmm?" A soft moan came from Rin as she stirred in his arms.

Kaito quickly dismissed the sword and looked down at the young woman in his arms. When she opened her eyes and saw him, her expression shifted from confusion to embarrassment. Her disheveled hair and the look of a shy girl only made Kaito's hunger grow.

"H-how was it?" Rin asked hesitantly.

"Dealing with ordinary Servants shouldn't be a problem now," Kaito replied confidently.

"That's good... Wait, what are you doing?!"

"Just giving you a reward," Kaito said with a grin.

"A reward? Mmm! No, I have to go to school... Ah?!!!"

...

Sobu High School

When Kaito followed Rin to the school gate and saw the sign, he couldn't help but mutter, "Since when did Sobu High move to Tokyo?"

"What are you talking about all of a sudden?" Rin asked, confused.

"Nothing," Kaito replied.

He had thought it was strange enough that the Tohsaka family was in Tokyo, but now he was attending Sobu High? This was getting surreal.

"Don't suddenly talk out loud," Rin whispered irritably. "People will think I'm talking to myself."

"Look, someone's staring at us!"

Kaito followed Rin's gaze and saw a black-haired, expressionless girl looking in their direction. Beside her was a busty, orange-haired girl.

No, she's looking at me.

"Hey, Miko, what are you looking at?"

"It's the first time I've seen Tohsaka-senpai coming to school with a boy," Yotsuya Miko said, her eyes fixed on the tall, handsome Kaito standing next to Rin. "I've never seen him at school before."

Though she wasn't exactly a popular figure at school, Miko was sure she would have heard about someone as striking as Kaito if he were a student.

"What boy?" Yurikawa Hana followed Miko's gaze but only saw Rin walking alone. "By the way, why does Tohsaka-senpai seem to be limping today? Did she sprain her ankle?"

Just then, the boy next to Rin turned and smiled at Miko.

Miko instinctively smiled back, a polite gesture between strangers. But when she heard Hana's question, her smile froze, and she stopped in her tracks.

There's no one there?

Then she saw the man's smile widen as he started walking toward her.

Rin didn't react. Other students passed by, but the man seemed to phase through them as if he had no physical form, heading straight for Miko.

"Oh no...!" Miko's face turned pale.

She quickly looked down at the ground, silently praying, "Don't see me! Don't see me!"

Miko had the ability to see spirits that ordinary people couldn't. She had discovered this ability five days ago, but it wasn't a blessing. The spirits were terrifying, grotesque, and would constantly try to scare her, asking, "Can you see me?"

Miko wanted to scream and run away, but she had a gut feeling that if the spirits realized she could see them, something terrible would happen. So, she had been pretending not to see them.

But they were everywhere—at home, at school, on the way home. And now, they were even pretending to be human!

"So sneaky!" Miko thought in despair.

"Tap."

Suddenly, a large hand rested on her shoulder.

Miko's body stiffened. She glanced at Hana, who gave her a concerned look.

"Miko, are you okay? You look pale. Do you want me to take you to the nurse's office?"

Hana couldn't see him.

"It's a spirit... a really sneaky one!" Miko thought, on the verge of tears.

Just then, the spirit leaned in closer, his eerie voice whispering right into her ear.

"Stop pretending."

"I know you can see me."

Miko's body trembled.

And then, she cried.

"Mom, I'm sorry... It looks like I'll be joining Dad and my brother soon..."
