Succubus System At Hogwarts

Chapter 62: (62) First Meeting With Voldemort

Filch led the six young students to Hagrid, his voice dripping with threat.

"Six trouble… ehm, not Ian.." Filch paused before correcting himself. "Five troublemakers, Hagrid."

Harry, Draco, Hermione, Cassandra, and Ron: "..."

Do you dare to be any more hypocritical?

Hagrid looked at the six kids he had just seen the day before. "Great to see you all again."

"Not great at all," Draco muttered under his breath.

"Alright, time for you lot to start your patrol," Filch urged impatiently.

Hagrid nodded and led the six of them into the Forbidden Forest.

Holding up a lantern, Hagrid walked ahead, his towering figure resembling a small mountain. Behind him, the six students trailed along, their long shadows stretching out in the darkness.

"Come on now, don't be afraid," Hagrid reassured them in his gruff voice. "There might be plenty of dangerous creatures in the Forbidden Forest, but as long as you stay close to me, I promise you'll be safe. We've got an important task tonight."

"I heard there are werewolves and vampires in the Forbidden Forest…" Draco swallowed nervously. "Hagrid, what exactly are we doing?"

A flicker of seriousness crossed Hagrid's face. "A few days ago, a unicorn was attacked in the Forbidden Forest…"

Hagrid suddenly stopped, his eyes locking onto something in the distance. Not far away, glistening silver bloodstains stood out against the dark forest floor.

He walked over, crouched down, and picked up a long strand of silver hair from the ground. "This is unicorn hair… and it's stained with blood. Looks like it was torn off."

"It seems another unicorn is in trouble—badly injured," Hagrid said gravely. "We need to find the poor creature quickly."

He then divided them into groups. "Hermione, Cassandra, Ron—you three follow me," Hagrid instructed. "Harry, Draco, Ian—you three go over there and have a look."

Hermione and Cassandra exchanged glances before looking up at Hagrid. "Hagrid, can't we go with Ian?"

"It's better for you two little girls to stick with me." Hagrid scratched his head. "The professors told me Ian's quite powerful. I feel more at ease letting the three boys go together."

Ron subconsciously pointed at himself. "What about my strength, Hagrid?"

"Sorry, Ron, but I think you're weaker than the three of them…" Hagrid said honestly. "You should stay with me—it's safer."

Ron: "...…"

Harry, Draco, & Ian: "Pfft..!"

Hermione & Cassandra: ( ̄m ̄)mustn't laugh.. mustn't laugh..

While Hagrid wasn't wrong, was it really okay to be this blunt?

Ron shot a resentful look at Harry and Draco, who were both struggling to hold in their laughter, before turning back to Hagrid.

"Hagrid, can we take Fang with us?" Draco asked quickly.

At the very least, the big dog's size and presence could give them some reassurance, even if it couldn't actually protect them, right?

"Alright, but I have to warn you, Draco—Fang's a coward," Hagrid said, glancing down at the massive dog, who was currently drooling on the ground.

Draco looked at Fang skeptically. A coward? This huge beast?

"Alright then. Fang, go with Ian and the others," Hagrid instructed.

Fang seemed to understand, barking at Hagrid twice before wagging his tail and trotting over to Draco's side.

"Alright, let's go. If you find the unicorn, don't do anything reckless—come back to me immediately," Hagrid said seriously.

Ian nodded and led Harry and Draco down another path.

The Forbidden Forest was pitch dark, with only the faint glow from Draco's lantern providing any light.

The thick branches overhead blocked out the sky completely, allowing them to see only a small area around them.

Ian glanced at Harry and his two burdens, then turned his head to look at Fang, who was panting with his tongue hanging out as he followed along. Ian let out a deep sigh in his heart.

Tonight, he finally understood Hermione's usual state of mind.

Draco clutched the lantern, grumbling as if to reassure himself. "Harry! Ian! If my father knew I was the one holding the lantern, he'd scold me for sure! This is a job for servants!"

"Oh? So, do you want me to hold it?" Ian shot him a look.

"Ah.. No!" Draco shook his head vigorously, like a rattling toy. "Ian, that's not what I meant at all!"

"You two, just stay behind me and don't cause any trouble," Ian sighed, rolling his eyes. "Follow me, find the unicorn, and let's get back to Hagrid as soon as possible."

Harry glanced around the eerie Forbidden Forest as they walked. "Ian, do you really think we'll find the unicorn?"

"As long as we follow the blood trail, we should be able to," Ian replied, looking down at the shimmering silver blood on the ground. "But be careful—whatever attacked the unicorn could be very dangerous."

"Ian, what kind of danger do you think we'll run into?" Draco asked, gripping the lantern a little tighter.

"Vampires? Werewolves? Or some terrifying magical creature?" Harry added, swallowing nervously.

Ian gave them both a deadpan look. "You two have way too much imagination."

"This is the Forbidden Forest!" Draco and Harry protested in unison.

"Fine, fine," Ian said helplessly. "Then, yes—maybe you will run into all of those things. But can you two at least have a little faith in my strength?"

"Of course, we believe in your strength," Draco and Harry said quickly.

They had seen Ian's abilities firsthand. Whether it was Charms or Transfiguration, Ian was always the best.

With Ian around, they truly felt reassured.

Harry glanced at his calm brother and couldn't help but ask, "But Ian, aren't you worried or afraid?"

"No. What's there to worry about?" Ian said, walking ahead with his wand in hand.

He wasn't worried at all. In fact, he was even considering testing the strength of the noseless monster later.

After all, he was certain that old man Dumbledore had already cast a Disillusionment Charm and was quietly following them. There was nothing to be concerned about.

To Ian, this was just a small adventure in the Forbidden Forest.

Just then, a low growl echoed from up ahead, cutting through the silent Forbidden Forest. The eerie sound sent chills down their spines.

"What was that?" Draco froze, his grip on the lantern tightening as the flame flickered.

Fang, sensing danger, immediately cowered behind Draco, tucking his tail between his legs as if trying to use him as a shield.

"Let's go check it out," Harry said, taking a deep breath before stepping forward.

He had barely taken a few steps when Ian suddenly reached out and blocked his path.

Harry stopped abruptly, looking back at Ian in confusion. "What's wrong, Ian?"

"Don't move—I found the unicorn," Ian said coldly, his eyes locked onto a shadow not far away. His grip on his wand tightened.

Ian's gaze remained fixed on the dark silhouette ahead. He already knew exactly what it was.

Quirrell… or rather, the parasite clinging to him.

The lingering Voldemort.

Voldemort also noticed the uninvited guests. He no longer cared about drinking the unicorn's blood and slowly lifted his head, revealing half of his indistinct face—silver blood still dripping from the corner of his mouth.

"Aaaaaaah!!!" Draco let out a particularly miserable scream.

He grabbed onto Ian and Harry, trying to run, but his legs had gone weak, rendering him completely useless.

The moment the shadow lifted its head, Harry felt an unbearable pain sear through his lightning-shaped scar. He clutched his forehead, wincing in agony.

Before any of them could react, a bolt of green light shot directly toward Ian, Harry, and Draco.

Seeing the "beautiful green light" up close again after so many years, Ian's body moved faster than his brain. He barely managed to yank Harry and Draco aside, dodging the spell just in time.

No morals at all!

This fucker! He just start with a killing curse?! Ian fumed.

Is Avada Kedavra Voldemort's idea of a casual greeting?!

"Don't just stand there! You two, run! Go find Hagrid!" Ian shouted at Harry and Draco.

Shoving them forward, Ian quickly fired off a few spells while simultaneously casting protective armor over the two burdens.

"Bombarda! Petrificus Totalus! Oppugno!" Ian fired at the hooded figure.

Seeing Ian casting spells effortlessly without an incantation, Draco finally snapped out of his daze. He hesitated only briefly before grabbing Harry and running.

"Ian! Be careful! We'll be back with Hagrid soon!" Draco shouted as he struggled to drag Harry along.

"Ian!" Harry, however, refused to leave. He fought against Draco's grip, desperately trying to stay behind. "Draco! Ian is still there! My brother is still there!"

Draco was frantic—Fang had bolted off somewhere, and Harry was being ridiculously stubborn. Gryffindors! Always so reckless!

"Ian is stronger than both of us combined!" Draco hissed as he yanked Harry forward. "Finding Hagrid first gives Ian a better chance of surviving!"

"Yes! W-We have to find Hagrid to save Ian! we have to hurry! Ian.. be safe!" Harry cried, finally forcing himself to run as fast as he could.

Hagrid! We need to find Hagrid as soon as possible!
