Chapter 39: Which came first, the chicken or the egg
Chapter 39 Which came first, the chicken or the egg
The second class for Gryffindor freshmen is History of Magic, which is undoubtedly the most boring class at Hogwarts, bar none.
The History of Magic classroom is located on the second floor of Hogwarts Castle. Gryffindor freshmen will have 20 minutes of spare time after the first class.
However, since Albert and Professor Flitwick chatted for a long time, the four of them had no extra time to waste, so they had to speed up their pace and rush to the History of Magic classroom.
When the four hurriedly arrived at the History of Magic classroom, the administrator, Argus Filch, had come to open the door ahead of time. After all, Professor Binns, who was a ghost, could not open the door for everyone.
Gryffindor's History of Magic and Ravenclaw together, everyone sat in their seats and chatted before the class.
Albert ignored the twin brothers who were playing next to him, took out a box containing multi-flavored beans from his pocket, picked a blue bean and threw it into his mouth. After chewing, he found that it was blueberry flavored.
"Good luck." Albert grumbled, while he took out "History of Magic" from his school bag, he took out "Anthology of Spells and Curses in the Nineteenth Century" by the way, and flipped through his skill list under the cover of reading a book.
After taking the spell class, Albert discovered that he had acquired another skill: the theory of spells.
In Albert's memory, this basic skill is very useful, so he immediately upgraded the theory of magic spells to level 1. He carefully recalled the extra knowledge of the theory of spells in his head, and couldn't help frowning. It seemed that the effect of only upgrading to one level was not great.
how to say?
My own theory of spells has indeed improved, but Albert has the feeling that most of the knowledge is not difficult to understand as long as it is cracked, so that kind of mediocre illusion arises.
While thinking about the knowledge of the luminous spell, Albert took the multi-flavored beans and threw them into his mouth, as if he was eating chocolate beans.
The next moment, he covered his mouth with his hand, and a hot taste escaped from his mouth.
Damn it, the one I just ate was a chili-flavored multi-flavored bean. Albert was so spicy that he swore he would never eat it again when he was in a trance.
"What's wrong with you?" Fred noticed the change in Albert.
"Multi-flavored beans, chili-flavored." Albert pointed to the small box on the table. The multi-flavored beans I bought on the train last time have not been eaten yet.
"Every bite is a great adventure." Fred laughed gloatingly, not forgetting to tease Albert about the slogan of multi-flavored beans.
Albert glared at the guy in front of him fiercely, then took out a toffee from his pocket and stuffed it into his mouth to relieve the spiciness, and handed the multi-flavored beans to Fred.
"Be especially careful when eating multi-flavored beans." Fred squeezed one and threw it into his mouth, chewing. "Spinach flavor."
"Mine is strawberry," George announced cheerfully.
"I eat this very much..." Lee Jordan also came over, picked one and threw it into his mouth.
"Multi-flavored beans, do you want?" Albert asked, shaking the box at the others.
As soon as the voice fell, Li Qiaodan's voice came from the side.
"It smells like rotten eggs, it's disgusting." The black boy's cheeks were almost twisted together, and he spit out the multi-flavored beans he was chewing on the ground.
A girl from Ravenclaw next to her cast a disgusted look at Li Qiaodan.
Noticing the other party's eyes, Li Qiaodan looked a little embarrassed, and scratched his head in embarrassment.
"Clean it up." Albert raised his wand, pointed at Lee Jordan's vomit, and threw a fruit candy to him.
"I will never eat multi-flavored beans again." Li Qiaodan swore.
"You've said that more than once." George teased. "He just ate another one, and it was marmalade.
After the Lee Jordan incident, everyone kept away from Albert's small box of multi-flavored beans. They didn't want to eat anything strange.
"What magic did you use just now." The Ravenclaw girl introduced herself: "My name is Katrina McDougal."
"Hi Katrina, I'm Albert Anderson." Albert stuffed another piece of chocolate into his mouth, and the hot taste in his mouth gradually subsided after chewing, "It was just now a descaling spell, very practical of a magic."
"Most freshmen are not as good at magic as you are, even if they are taught in advance by family members. And..." Katrina glanced at the "Anthology of Spells in the Nineteenth Century" that Albert was flipping through and said, "I dare say The Sorting Hat must have put you in the wrong house."
"There's nothing wrong with Gryffindor." Albert didn't care what the other said: "And... I'm from a Muggle family."
"It's impossible, only from a wizard's family, and their family will teach magic knowledge in advance." Katrina's expression on her face was a bit astonished.
"I heard that...to enter Ravenclaw's lounge, a question needs to be answered..." Albert stiffly changed the subject, he didn't want to argue about his bloodline.
"Yes, you need to answer the question of the eagle-shaped bronze door knocker before you are allowed to enter the Ravenclaw common room." Katrina looked at Albert suspiciously and asked back, "However, I am curious, are you How do you know this? A lot of people don't know how to get into the lounges of other colleges.
"I overheard a Ravenk student complaining about not being able to answer questions and being left outside the lounge." Albert said nonsense.
"Oh!" Katrina was still a little suspicious of Albert, after all, the chance of encountering such a thing is not great.
"Do you feel that Albert can chat with anyone." George, who was sitting next to him, muttered softly.
Fred nodded again and again, and Li Jordan also agreed. He reached out and took out a multi-flavored bean from the box. This guy actually likes to eat multi-flavored beans.
Albert glared at the three of them, coughed lightly and asked, "Tell me about any interesting problems you have encountered?"
"Phoenix or Fire, which one came first?" Katrina picked a question to which she happened to know the answer
"What do you think?" Albert turned his head to look at the twin brothers
"I think the phoenix should come first?" Fred said.
"I think so too?" George immediately agreed.
"Why?" Li Qiaodan asked puzzled.
"Of course I guessed it!" The twins said in unison, their expressions of course amused everyone.
Albert couldn't help laughing too.
"What about you?" Katrina asked again.
"In the Muggle world, there is a similar question." Albert did not answer the other party directly, and continued: "Which came first, the chicken or the egg?"
"What's the answer?" Katrina asked curiously. She thought she had guessed the answer.
"The chicken came first." Albert replied, the answer was really different from what Katrina thought.
"Why?"
Albert explained: "How can an egg appear in the world for no reason?"
Katrina shook her head and said, "That's not enough reason."
