Chapter 369 Alchemist Assessment 4
"What is this old guy up to?" Zang Dee pursed her charming lips. As a member of the Angsana Pavillion, she had interacted with Stone Yee frequently, but at the moment, she couldn't quite grasp the meaning behind his words. However, it certainly wasn't to cause trouble.
Stone Yee had always been known as the good natured one at the Angsana Pavillion.
"Not at all..." Blaze Regret began to speak, but was interrupted by Stone Yee, who waved his hand with a slight frown, so he could only smile wryly and press his lips together.
"You truly don't know what's good for you. Being accepted as a disciple by Master Stone Yee is a fortune accumulated over three lifetimes!" Kartis Siti seized the opportunity, adding fuel to the fire with her harsh voice, attempting to incite Stone Yee's anger towards Blaze Regret.
However, Stone Yee slowly turned his head, looking at Kartis Siti with a cold gaze. "Does this matter concern you, or do you think being from the Kartis Family gives you the right to meddle here?"
Hearing this, Kartis Siti trembled, hastily closing her mouth in fear, having no idea which words had offended Stone Yee.
"My alchemy skills are likely limited to this level in this lifetime. It's understandable if you don't think much of them."
With a slight squint of his eyes, Stone Yee made a decision in his heart. He turned to Blaze Regret and said earnestly, "Young friend, if you are willing, after the alchemist assessment, I will put aside my pride and seek out that old fellow Mut Zen. His alchemy skills are at the pinnacle of the fifth grade and might break through to the sixth grade in less than half a year. With his guidance, your future will surely be even more formidable."
Stone Yee's words were like a heavy hammer striking Kartis Siti's head. Her mind buzzed, and her face was filled with disbelief.
Mut Zen was the father of Mut Lit, the master of the Angsana Pavillion. His unparalleled alchemy skills intimidated the entire empire, unmatched by anyone. Establishing a connection with him would allow someone to walk with impunity even in Snow Storm City!
"More formidable than Mut Zen?" Zang Dee's focus was entirely on the last part of Stone Yee's statement. Covering her red lips with her delicate hand, she was full of shock. Was it possible that the always proud Stone Yee had such a high opinion of Blaze Regret?
If this were to spread, it would be hard for anyone to believe!
Feeling the envious and jealous gazes around him, Blaze Regret shook his head with a wry smile. He wasn't afraid of Stone Yee causing trouble; what he feared was the difficulty of refusing such generosity, especially considering the troubles he was already dealing with.
Seeing Blaze Regret shake his head, Stone Yee became anxious. With his sharp eyes, he could easily see that Blaze Regret's alchemy skills might have already reached the pinnacle of the third grade, with limitless potential. If he could persuade Blaze Regret to join him, it could benefit the Thousand Stone Hall and even the entire Angsana Pavillion in the future!
"Senior Stone, let's begin the assessment. I'm here solely for the recipe of the Rock Cast Pill," Blaze Regret said, rubbing his nose awkwardly.
Though said unintentionally, Zang Dee caught the implication. Blaze Regret, who clearly had a fire attribute spirit beast, was eager to obtain an earth attribute pill recipe. Could there be some secret behind it?
"The recipe for the Rock Cast Pill?"
Stone Yee's eyes lit up, and after pondering for a moment, he gritted his teeth and shamelessly said, "If you don't agree to my request, I'll remove the Rock Cast Pill recipe from the rewards for the third grade alchemist."
Upon hearing this, Blaze Regret was initially stunned, then found it somewhat amusing. Wasn't Stone Yee supposed to be the esteemed elder of the Angsana Pavillion? Why was he behaving like a street rogue?
"Sorry, if the Rock Cast Pill recipe is not included, then I won't participate in the assessment," Blaze Regret replied, shaking his head and turning to leave.
"Stop right there!"
Stone Yee's expression turned increasingly anxious. He stepped forward and grabbed Blaze Regret's arm, saying, "You can have the Rock Cast Pill recipe, but if you successfully pass the third grade alchemist assessment, you must agree to become an honorary elder of the Angsana Pavillion."
Feeling slightly intrigued, Blaze Regret hesitated and asked, "Honorary elder? Are there any restrictions?"
Seeing Blaze Regret's interest, Stone Yee quietly breathed a sigh of relief and said, somewhat exasperatedly, "There are no restrictions at all. You will receive the protection of the Angsana Pavillion and even a monthly supply of cultivation resources. All we ask is that you assist us if the Angsana Pavillion ever faces difficulties."
After a moment of contemplation, Blaze Regret reluctantly nodded. This appearance made the other candidates want to scream in frustration, as the position was something others dreamed of, yet he acted as if it were a burden!
"Very well, those who have passed the test may now proceed to the assessment," Stone Yee announced, finally realizing his own lack of composure. He released his grip and cleared his throat, while those who passed the soul arrow test looked excited, knowing that passing the assessment would grant them high status in Snow Storm City.
Alchemy is a profession that garners respect and privileges everywhere.
"Ah, so the soul arrow test has finally concluded."
A cheerful voice echoed from the Thousand Stone Hall hall, followed by a figure in white stepping into the courtyard. As his gaze swept over the area, the smile on his face gradually faded.
"Blaze Regret..."
Kartis Van, clad in a long robe, stood quietly at the front of the courtyard, gazing at the somewhat familiar figure. The other person also stared back at him indifferently, with a faint chill permeating the air.
"So, you're here."
