Chapter 30: Chapter 30: Does He Really Want Me to Feed Him?
Li Shiyu's ideas were becoming increasingly abstract, but somehow, they made a strange kind of sense to Li Zhiyan.
Taking down an enemy's mother? That was a critical hit with bonus damage.
No wonder the two of them were best friends.
"Alright, put your money away before you embarrass yourself," Li Zhiyan said with a smirk. "Didn't you say you wanted to buy that Nepalese kukri? Go ahead and get it."
Li Shiyu was dumbfounded.
"What? A Nepalese kukri? It's 150 yuan! That's way too extravagant."
"If I tell you to buy it, just buy it. No more excuses."

The next day, Li Zhiyan and Li Shiyu were back at the internet café, gaming as usual.
In the afternoon, while Li Shiyu was engrossed in CrossFire, Li Zhiyan casually removed his phone's cover and battery, switching in a newly purchased SIM card. He quickly composed a text message:
"Mrs. Liu, your husband Liu Huan plans to meet a woman named Rao Shiyun tonight at Phoenix Hotel, Room 999. He intends to get her drunk and take advantage of her. Please take note."
After sending the message, he swapped his SIM card back and pocketed the burner card.
Back in 2010, getting a SIM card was incredibly easy. There was no need for ID; you could simply buy one at a shop. But the downside was that these unregistered cards were disposable—once lost, they were gone forever.
Next, he opened QQ and sent a message to Rao Shiyun.
"Rao Auntie, what are you up to?"
At that moment, Rao Shiyun was lounging in her bedroom, casually playing a game on Tencent Home while waiting for her evening banquet.
Hearing the notification chime, she eagerly checked her phone. She rarely used QQ—her contacts were limited to close relatives and friends. Apart from them, the only other person on her list was the newly added Li Zhiyan.
Her heart skipped a beat as she opened QQ, and she was delighted to see his message.
"Just at home. What is it? Have you finally decided to acknowledge me as your godmother?"
Li Zhiyan smirked. Still trying, huh?
"No, let's not. I already called you 'Mom' once—that should be enough."
"Haha, just kidding."
"Auntie, can you stop saying 'haha'? It sounds like an insult."
"Why?" she asked, puzzled.
"It just sounds passive-aggressive. Like you're mocking me."
Lying on her bed, Rao Shiyun tilted her head in confusion. Mocking? Isn't everyone using 'haha' in chats? How did it become an insult?
"Alright, then. I won't use it anymore," she replied. "By the way, you cheeky brat, I have a banquet tonight. Want to come along? There'll be lobster and abalone, all the good stuff."
Reading her message, Li Zhiyan exhaled in relief. Her inviting him saved him the trouble of orchestrating an elaborate coincidence at the hotel.
Of course, the real challenge would be completing the task of kissing her on the lips.
Though the thought of kissing Rao Shiyun felt a bit wicked—especially since she wanted to make him her godson—seven grand was on the line.
For that amount, he'd go all in. If he succeeded, his savings would exceed 200,000 yuan.
"Sure, Auntie," he replied.
"What are you doing now?" she asked.
"At the internet café," he typed.
"Studying programming?"
"Nope, already mastered that. Just playing games today."
"I'll come pick you up. You've never been to my house, have you?"
Her invitation piqued his curiosity. He'd been to Gu Wanzhou's house before when he was still pursuing Yu Sisi. But this was different.
Before his rebirth, he'd had no memory of Liu Zifeng having such an enchanting mother. Visiting her home sounded like an intriguing experience.
"Alright," he agreed.
"Which internet café are you at?"
"Dreamland Café."
"Got it."
After ending the chat with Rao Shiyun, Li Zhiyan sent a casual message to Gu Wanzhou to keep up appearances.
Li Shiyu, meanwhile, couldn't help but notice how often his friend chatted with women. He sighed enviously. Talented men really do live a different life. I'll probably only have heart-to-heart talks with masseuses during my sessions.
---
After putting down her phone, Rao Shiyun opened her wardrobe and began picking out an outfit. She eventually settled on a light blue chiffon dress that accentuated her curves without being too revealing.
Admiring her reflection in the mirror, she felt a tinge of satisfaction. Her snow-white legs and mature, charming features looked flawless.
I wonder if Zhiyan will like it, she mused.
Her thoughts drifted back to when she first heard about him. It was from one of Liu Zifeng's classmates who mentioned how Zhiyan had publicly confessed to Gu Wanzhou during a class gathering.
At the time, she'd found it bold but didn't think much of it. It wasn't until she met him in person that she began to appreciate his talents and personality.
Does he have a thing for older women?
She shook her head, but her thoughts remained tangled. Memories of their last hug resurfaced—how he had bent over to accommodate her embrace, yet she'd clearly felt his reaction.
Does this kid really… want me to feed him?
Her face flushed at the notion, the heat spreading like wildfire. In the mirror, her rosy complexion looked even more alluring.
"No, no," she muttered to herself, shaking off the thought. "It's just a natural reaction… It doesn't mean anything."
Still, she found herself carefully reapplying her makeup and checking her appearance.
What she didn't realize was that she'd begun to pay extra attention to how she looked whenever she interacted with Li Zhiyan.
