Their strategy seemed sound, but they underestimated the strength and tactical prowess of the Storm Alliance Fleet. As soon as Ai Er's fleet entered the radar range of the Vermilion Bird Fortress, she issued a decisive command:

"All fleets, listen up! The two quasi-T6 fleets, advance quickly! Lock onto all defensive installations on the Vermilion Bird Fortress and open fire!"

"The remaining twenty T5 fleets will engage the enemy's seventeen T5 fleets. We have the numbers advantage, so you must win. Understood?"

"Yes, Commander!" came the fierce reply from the fleet commanders.

Meanwhile, the Storm Fleet was locked in intense combat. The fortress's thirty thousand T5 and T4 mixed laser cannons bombarded the Storm Fleet, which consisted of just over a hundred ships. Even though each attack was spread out among them, the pressure was immense.

Fortunately, after the Storm Fleet's initial bombardment, at least one-third of the enemy's laser cannons had been destroyed, and the interception rate of incoming fire had risen to 30%. Still, over ten thousand laser cannons continued to bear down, draining the shields of each Storm Fleet ship by about half.

Just as the Vermilion Ape's shield generators were cooling down, its radar detected an incoming T6 mechanical fleet bearing down on the Storm Fleet. Feng Mo realized that this battle would be challenging.

A gleam of excitement lit up Feng Mo's eyes; it had been a long time since he'd faced a battle with real difficulty. His last comparable encounter was when the Stormer had first confronted a T4 interstellar destroyer, and he'd driven it back with sheer grit.

"The Storm Fleet will split into two formations. I'll lead the Vermilion Ape, along with five T6 Phoenixes and ten T6 Armored Dragons, to engage the T6 mechanical fleet. Han Peipei, you'll act as vice-commander, taking command of the Battle Planet as the flagship and continue bombarding all defensive installations on the Vermilion Bird Fortress."

After issuing orders and transferring command privileges to Han Peipei, Feng Mo took command of sixteen T6 warships, moving them to intercept the T6 mechanical fleet.

Both fleets now appeared on each other's radar, but neither side rushed to fire missiles or lasers. They continued advancing, as firing from extreme range would only give the enemy time to evade by suddenly accelerating.

With their dark-energy engines, the T6 ships could quickly accelerate to speeds four times faster than standard, reaching up to 2000 knots, making it nearly impossible to hit them at long range without tracking lasers.

Feng Mo's sixteen T6 warships were about to face a fleet of a hundred T6 mechanical ships, more than six times his number. He had to be cautious.

"Radar, analyze enemy fleet trajectories. Target the mechanical ships, prepare Starbreaker Cannons, main and auxiliary guns for firing, and load T6 interstellar missiles and dark-energy missiles!"

Upon receiving the orders, the sixteen T6 warships in the Storm Fleet began to glow, especially the massive T6 Black Hole-class Starbreaker Cannon at the Vermilion Ape's bow. This behemoth cannon was renowned for its enormous size, boasting dimensions of 430m by 160m by 200m—making it roughly one-twentieth the total length of the Vermilion Ape, which was 7.9 kilometers.

This cannon was massive, even larger and heavier than most T2-class warships, consuming an immense amount of energy to fire. Feng Mo had even commissioned an oversized version for the Battle Planet during its construction, custom-designed by Alisa, who shared his appreciation for heavy artillery.

Now, Feng Mo was ready to reveal the cannon's true potential—the reason it was named "Black Hole-class."

"Disengage energy constraints on the T6 Black Hole-class Starbreaker Cannon. Activate Ultimate Mode!"

Ai Er, his vice-commander, looked slightly concerned. Although she trusted Feng Mo's decisions, it was her responsibility to remind him of the consequences. She spoke cautiously:

"Sir, engaging the Black Hole Cannon's Ultimate Mode will drain the entire energy reserve, leaving the Vermilion Ape without weapon functionality—only minimal propulsion will remain."

"I understand. Proceed with the order," Feng Mo replied calmly.

"Understood, Commander! Disengaging energy restrictions on the Black Hole-class Starbreaker Cannon—activating Ultimate Mode!"

The glowing red sphere at the cannon's tip began to swell, darkening to a deep red, then black. It shrank into a tiny sphere, less than a hundred meters in diameter, resembling a small black hole.

At the same time, the enemy's mechanical fleet completed its weapon charges. Both sides were prepared to strike simultaneously.

"Vermilion Ape, fire the T6 Black Hole-class Starbreaker Cannon!" Feng Mo's voice boomed. He'd run countless simulations of this cannon's Ultimate Mode, but now it was real. He watched the radar with intense focus, determined not to miss a single detail.

Upon his command, the small black sphere exploded into a massive black beam, streaking toward the enemy fleet. It splintered into countless thin black rays, intercepting incoming attacks and obliterating ten T6 mechanical warships in its path.

Nothing could withstand the beam's onslaught. Every laser, every missile, every mechanical ship in its way was annihilated—absolutely everything.

Feng Mo observed the destruction in awe, fully aware of Ultimate Mode's destructive potential but mindful of the cost. Within the Vermilion Ape's control room, red warning lights flashed. All weapon systems were offline, and even basic propulsion would barely be sufficient for returning to base.

The cannon's massive discharge had inflicted severe structural strain on the ship. The Vermilion Ape's bow had lifted slightly during the firing, a phenomenon Feng Mo had never seen before. The entire ship had been shifted over a hundred meters by the sheer force of the recoil.

Despite these drawbacks, the result was impressive. The enemy's hundred-strong T6 mechanical fleet had lost over a third of its strength. Meanwhile, the remaining enemy fire, having been intercepted, caused minimal damage to the Storm Fleet's shields.
