Starsea Fleet: Age of the Lord

Chapter 253: Chapter 253: The T6 Deer-Swift-Class Interstellar Carrier

Feng Mo looked earnestly at Ming Gu and spoke with conviction. "Rest assured, I am not a bloodthirsty ruler. Solving this peacefully is the best outcome, don't you agree, Commander Ming Gu?"

Hearing Feng Mo's assurances, Ming Gu finally felt his tension ease, his gaze softening toward Feng Mo. The decision Feng Mo had made was strategic; the Giant Starfleet was powerful, and apart from the Storm Fleet, no other force within the Storm Empire could rival it. He needed another formidable force to balance this power, thus preventing either side from growing too dominant. This principle of balance was also why Feng Mo chose not to eradicate the Celestial Eclipse Empire—now rebranded as the Celestial Night Starfleet.

Moreover, the Celestial Night Starfleet's physiology and appearance were similar to humans, aside from their light blue skin. Since they had no reproductive incompatibilities with humans, they could easily integrate into the Federation's larger human family as another ethnic group. With Ming Gu's lead in surrendering, the transition was much smoother. However, Feng Mo had no such patience for Ming Shi and Ming Xun. He ordered them detained and dispatched elite mecha teams to secure the Celestial Night royal family.

Ming Gu did not object to Feng Mo's actions; eliminating the old royal order was necessary. If the royal family remained, would the Celestial Eclipse Starfield heed Feng Mo's command, or would they obey their deposed rulers? Even if Feng Mo personally didn't wish to execute them, his advisors and fleet captains would never accept leaving a rival in power.

Every regime change brings shifts that threaten established interests. As expected, many dissenters attempted to assassinate Feng Mo, but each attempt failed, leading to sweeping purges. The Storm Fleet stayed in the Celestial Night System for nearly a month, eliminating all rebels and infiltrators.

To manage the Celestial Eclipse Starfield, Feng Mo stationed the Gale Fleet in the New Humanity System to monitor any changes in the region. The Giant Starfleet and the Celestial Night Starfleet continued to coexist peacefully, separated by a small buffer system, while both factions agreed to mobilize for the Storm Empire if called upon, with rewards in exchange.

Feng Mo also ensured fair treatment, providing both the giants and the Celestial Night Starfleet with simplified T6 ship designs through Eliza. However, only destroyers and frigates were included; flagship designs, like battleships, remained restricted.

In the following weeks, Feng Mo oversaw the logistics fleet as it set up Stargates across the systems. He acquired valuable T5 and T6 resources from the treasure vaults of the giants and the Celestial Night Starfleet, boosting the Storm Empire's gains from the conquest. Additionally, Feng Mo obtained essential star charts, which, while only covering nearby territories, meant he no longer navigated blindly.

With the conquest complete, Feng Mo's mission rewards awaited him:

[Mission: Conquer the Celestial Eclipse Starfield and Eliminate the New Humanity Church (Completed) - Reward: 100,000 points and T6 Deer-Swift-Class Interstellar Carrier Design Plans]

Feng Mo claimed his rewards.

[Rewards claimed: 100,000 points, T6 Deer-Swift-Class Interstellar Carrier Design Plans x1]

The 100,000 points provided flexibility; they could be exchanged for a T6 warship or other T6 technology. Feng Mo decided to save these points for now, as T6 specialty ships cost more than conventional ones. Currently, 100,000 points could buy one conventional T6 ship, but with his fleets already well-equipped, he preferred to reserve them for a specialized combat vessel. The Deer-Swift-Class Carrier's specifications read as follows:

T6 Deer-Swift-Class Interstellar Carrier:

Armor Strength: 9500 Units

Dimensions: 12 km x 2.3 km x 2.1 km

Speed: 590 Star Knots

Warp Engine: Tier-6

Dark Energy Matrix Shield: Tier-6, 100%

Weapons:

1500 T6 Deer-Swift Starfighters

500 T6 Deer-Swift Bombers

500 T6 Deer-Swift Shipbusters

500 T6 Deer-Swift Fighters

500 T6 Deer-Swift Suicide Drones

300 Point-Defense Cannons

This Deer-Swift Carrier could deploy up to 3,000 unmanned drones and 500 piloted fighters, complemented by 300 point-defense cannons. It was the epitome of a mobile army, with the strength of an entire T5 fleet packed into a single ship.

After spending an additional week in the Celestial Eclipse Starfield, Feng Mo enjoyed the hospitality extended by the giants and the Celestial Night Starfleet. By now, the Storm Empire had emerged as a force spanning three starfields. Both by name and by power, it was a major player, poised to enter the sixth technological era and on the brink of being recognized as a Level-6 civilization.

One week later, amidst Ming Gu and Tot's reluctant farewells, Feng Mo boarded the Vermilion Ape. Though Eliza had nearly left for the Celestial Eclipse Starfield upon learning of the T6 carrier blueprints in Feng Mo's possession, Ai Er's quick intervention settled things. Knowing Eliza's restlessness, Feng Mo felt it was time to return. Besides, recent events within the Starsea Human Federation needed his presence at the Empire's central command.

The Celestial Eclipse Starfield lay to the west of the Starsea Federation, and according to the star charts Feng Mo had acquired, the vast Celestial Frontier Starfield lay further west, with the Stellar Empire's territories far to the south. To reach the Stellar Empire, one would need to traverse three additional empires, making the journey considerable.

For now, Feng Mo's Storm Fleet couldn't form a complete T6 battle fleet. Assisting Xing Shuwen's ascension in the Stellar Empire could wait, particularly since her siblings were locked in fierce competition for power. Feng Mo preferred to wait for the opportune moment to help her, letting the infighting wear them down before intervening to secure her position.

Currently, the Starsea Federation was surrounded by major adversaries: the Insectoids to the north, the Beastmen to the east, the Mechanical Starfleet to the south, and the Storm Empire itself to the west. The four powers enveloped the Federation, each poised to seize advantage. Feng Mo's position gave him a unique edge. Firstly, he held influence second only to the Federation's chairman, making the Storm Empire's governance widely accepted. Secondly, his coalition of four empires formed a powerful alliance, ready to respond as one.

With these two factors, Feng Mo was only one spark away from uniting the Federation. However, he awaited the right moment to make his move.

The Storm Fleet and Beast Roar Fleet took a full day to return to the Beast Roar System, after which the Storm Fleet alone navigated the Stargate to reach the Moonfrost System. This expedition had taken nearly three months in total.

By the time Feng Mo returned to the Moonfrost System, the date had reached the Federation Calendar: 7504, July 4.
