Starsea Fleet: Age of the Lord

Chapter 251: Chapter 251: The Conquest of the Mingye Empire

In the Torrent Star System, nearly five thousand ships were assembled, reorganized into a single fleet with the T6 Vermilion Ape as the flagship. Surrounding it were the flagship ships from each of the twelve sub-fleets. This massive combined force began its march toward the heart of the Mingye Empire.

The time had come to bring the entire Lihuang Minor Starfield under the banner of the Storm Empire, expanding Feng Mo's territory and influence. With this conquest, the Storm Empire's domain would rival the vast Starsea Human Federation, encompassing five major star systems and dozens of smaller ones. The recent addition of the Star Giants' forces marked a period of rapid expansion, strengthening the empire's reach and resources.

"Commander, the route to the Mingye System has been charted. All clear, and we're ready to initiate level-five intelligent synchronized warp. All crew below level two, please enter deep-sea mode," announced Xing Shuwen's voice across the fleet's intercoms.

The fleet initiated warp and surged toward the Mingye System, passing through three systems along the way—a seven-and-a-half-hour journey. Reaching the system's outer limits, Feng Mo ordered a halt. He knew the risks of charging directly through the interstellar void; the enemy might be lying in ambush.

"Merlo, deploy the T5 Mystic Birds and locate the enemy fleet," Feng Mo commanded.

"Yes, my lord!" Merlo responded, directing the nine T5 Mystic Birds through the interstellar boundary to scout the enemy's position.

After an hour and a half, the Mystic Birds linked back to the Vermilion Ape's AI, transmitting video and radar data. The reconnaissance confirmed the enemy was indeed laying in ambush on the far side of the boundary, with a remaining fleet of 7,670 T5 and above ships, including 435 quasi-T6 ships. The positioning of their forces revealed a carefully arranged trap, designed to encircle any incoming fleet.

"This formation has the marks of Minggu, the Mingye Empire's top strategist. No one else in their empire has such tactical skill," commented Tot as he analyzed the footage. Feng Mo's interest piqued, seeing Minggu's talent as an asset to capture.

Tot continued, "Minggu is a loyal five-star genetic warrior with an unyielding dedication to his empire. If you can defeat him in a direct fleet confrontation and assure him you won't slaughter his people indiscriminately, he may consider switching allegiances."

Satisfied with this insight, Feng Mo ordered, "Merlo, identify optimal bombing points for maximum disruption. I want the enemy fleet in chaos before we engage. Begin synchronized entry into interstellar space with the T6 ships leading."

"Yes, my lord!" Merlo quickly identified nine ideal points across the enemy's formation for a surprise assault. His objective was to create widespread chaos within the lead segment of the enemy fleet, minimizing losses for the allied fleet as they pushed through the boundary.

At Feng Mo's command, the nine Mystic Birds launched their full payload of interstellar missiles—nearly 9,900 projectiles, heavily loaded with neutron missiles aimed directly at the enemy's command ships.

Meanwhile, in the Mingye Empire's command center, Minggu sat in his captain's chair, dressed in a blue tactical uniform. His allegiance lay not in personal ambition but the survival of the empire itself—a stark contrast to his colleagues Mingxun and Mingxun, who were driven by power struggles. Minggu had expected the enemy to arrive sooner, aware of the "speed is of the essence" principle. However, he quickly deduced that the delay was deliberate, likely because Feng Mo had anticipated the ambush but had no clear way to counter it without incurring severe losses.

Then, the alarms blared, interrupting his calculations.

"Warning: multiple interstellar missiles locked onto the fleet. Starshield at maximum capacity; close-range defense turrets are intercepting incoming threats!" The alerts snapped Minggu into action. He recognized Feng Mo's tactics—a disruptive assault with stealth bombers followed by an overwhelming force.

"Hold steady! The bombers' payload is limited. Any ships that survive, focus on the interstellar boundary. Fire without waiting for orders the moment an enemy ship crosses over! The empire stands behind you all. Fight without fear, and I, Minggu, pledge to support the families of every soldier who falls!"

At that moment, chaos erupted as thousands of missiles exploded across the lead segment of Minggu's fleet. The large-scale bombardment caused significant disorder, with many ships frantically maneuvering under automated protocols to avoid further damage. This opening was all Feng Mo needed.

"Proceed with the T6 ships leading the charge!" Feng Mo ordered, and the combined fleet surged forward.

As Feng Mo's fleet pressed through the chaos, the Mingye Empire's ships struggled to regroup. Just as Minggu attempted to reorganize his forces, the allied fleet's T6 starships opened fire, launching their powerful stellar cannons and precision-directed beams, tearing into the enemy formation. The Vermilion Ape, with its dark-energy weapons, fired a red energy beam that split into smaller streams, tearing through clusters of T5 ships, while other beams punctured rows of ships, leaving trails of destruction.

Seeing his ambush thwarted, Minggu realized he was facing an opponent who could outmaneuver him. Retreat was not an option. With determination, he rallied the surviving ships for a counterattack, hoping to halt Feng Mo's advance. Yet, against the overwhelming firepower of the allied fleet, the Mingye Empire's remaining forces were quickly overwhelmed, falling in waves under the relentless assault.

Finally, with the Mingye Empire's fleet decimated, Minggu's command ship stood alone, heavily damaged yet defiantly firing its last rounds.

Sensing the end, Feng Mo opened a channel to Minggu. "Commander Minggu, your loyalty and skill are evident. I offer you a chance to continue serving—this time, not under a fractured empire but united under the Storm Empire."

Minggu, bruised but unbroken, looked at Feng Mo's hologram. After a pause, he nodded solemnly. "I accept, on one condition—swear to protect my people."

With that, the Mingye Empire's greatest strategist bowed his head, acknowledging Feng Mo as his new lord. The conquest of the Mingye Empire was complete. The once-independent empire now fell under the Storm Empire's rule, securing Feng Mo's hold over the Lihuang Starfield and mar

king another milestone in his growing dominion.
