Starsea Fleet: Age of the Lord

Chapter 249: Chapter 249: A Swift, Decisive Strike

Every seasoned leader knows how to play their role, and Feng Mo, barely over thirty, was no exception. Flushed and seemingly entranced, his hands roamed over the women in his arms, yet his eyes remained sharp, carefully observing the Mingye Emperor's every move.

After three hours of drinking, the Mingye Emperor lifted his final glass with a more serious tone, "Feng Mo, it's been a long journey for you. As host, the Mingye Empire has prepared a private suite for your rest. You're welcome to take these beauties with you."

He added with a casual smile, "And as for your crew, they must be hungry and thirsty by now. Guards, show Feng Mo's people to the dining hall."

The moment his words dropped, the doors swung open, and a squad of a hundred soldiers armed with laser rifles burst in, taking aim at Feng Mo and his crew.

Feng Mo scoffed, undaunted. "How amusing. But such a cheap trick? Beauty is the least effective lure for a true leader—especially for one who commands the stars."

With a calm voice, he continued, barely breaking his composure as the two women in his arms dropped lifelessly, red marks on their throats. Standing up, Feng Mo's body became sheathed in liquid black metal, forming into a T5 Blacklight Combat Armor.

Behind him, Feng Xian and ten of his crew activated their T4 Blacklight Armor, each piece formidable but only producible with the rare memory metals found on a special resource planet in the Heavenly Empire, limited to T5 grade at best.

The Mingye Emperor sneered, his tone turning venomous. "Don't think a few suits of armor can save you, Feng Mo. Your fleet is already surrounded, and by now, the reinforcements you called to the New Humanity System should have been completely destroyed. You've walked into a trap!"

Feng Mo's face remained impassive. "Mingye Emperor, let me clarify three things. First: your forces can't touch the New Humanity System. Second: your blockade here in the Torrent System will fail. And third: today, you will die here."

As he finished speaking, the armor on his shoulders opened, revealing rows of micro-tracking missiles. Guided by his onboard AI, the missiles launched, leaving blazing trails as they homed in on their targets. Despite the Mingye Emperor's hundred elite soldiers—many of whom were fourth and fifth-level genetic warriors—none could evade the T5 Blacklight's micro-missiles.

The massive explosions from the missiles tore the grand hall apart, sending a shockwave through the entire structure. Outside, Tot downed his drink and hurriedly led his companions out of the blast zone, catching only a glimpse of Feng Mo's destructive power.

"Blast, that armor's something else," Tot muttered to himself, brushing dust from his shoulders. "And that was just micro-missiles. If he unleashed the dark energy cannon he mentioned, the damage would be unimaginable. I'm going to need one of those custom-fitted suits after this."

Meanwhile, at the heart of the battlefield, Feng Mo soared skyward, clutching the Mingye Emperor by the throat, followed closely by his armor-clad crew. The once-glamorous Torrent Starport now lay in ruins, engulfed in flames.

Feng Xian's mech unit had already turned the starport into a battleground, following Feng Mo's orders. Once Silia had returned to the Vermilion Ape and relayed the command, the ship's main and secondary cannons charged, while the Fleet Steed opened the interstellar gateway, transporting the Storm Fleet directly to the side of the Star Giant fleet.

The Mingye Emperor had been confident in his strategy, expecting the support of a Star Giant fleet and assuming control with his six squadrons, including two near-T6 fleets. He believed his victory was assured, expecting to crush the twelve T6 starships of the Storm Fleet.

But he hadn't anticipated the betrayal of the Star Giants. The moment the Storm Fleet arrived, the Star Giant fleet turned their guns on the Mingye Empire's forces, unleashing a devastating barrage.

Caught off guard, the Mingye Empire's main control rooms filled with alarm sounds, and the immediate attack from the Star Giants' cannons left them stunned. Within moments, nearly three hundred of their T5 ships were destroyed, and many others saw their shields obliterated.

Silia wasted no time capitalizing on this advantage. "Storm Fleet, fire stardestroyers, main and secondary cannons. T6 Dark Energy Missiles on the Luminous Moons, T6 interstellar missiles from the Iron Dragons—launch!"

With Silia's order, the fleet's fully charged cannons blazed, unleashing over a hundred beams of concentrated energy. Each beam pierced an enemy ship, while 550 missiles tore through the battlefield, trailing streaks of fiery exhaust toward their targets.

The impact was devastating. The T5 ships of the Mingye Empire crumbled under the T6-grade firepower, and the dark energy missiles—which Feng Mo would have hesitated to use due to their cost—obliterated ship after ship with explosions so powerful that nearby shields buckled and shattered.

Meanwhile, at Torrent Prime, the dining hall had descended into a twisted spectacle. Feng Mo, still pretending to be intoxicated, ignored the chaos around him as he entertained himself with two beautiful alien women, hiding his true intentions.

Across from him, Tot watched the battle reports and, reassured by the Storm Fleet's power and the support of specialized ships, relaxed and joined Feng Mo in their farce. With the tables turned and the Mingye Emperor's trap shattered, the Storm Fleet now moved in for the final blow.
