Chapter 4: Chapter Four
I hummed, narrowing my eyes as I looked down at the Stormtroopers on the ground, pushing a few crates into the heavily armored transport.
I straightened up, taking a step off of the edge, the Force gathering below my feet and cushioning my landing.
I ran forward, my hand surging forward, grasping the blaster of the stormtrooper who was busy moving the crate, taking it off of their waist.
I slid my foot forward to stop my momentum and redistribute my body weight on the heel, pivoting and going back to back with him.
Raising my blaster, I aimed it at the closest one to me, to my immediate right. His only job seemed to be guarding the crates while they were being moved, yet he was just now turning his head towards me.
The barrel pressed against his head and I pulled the trigger, eliminating any possibility of not hitting the target.
The sound of a blaster bolt exiting the barrel sounded in the street, and the trooper dropped to the ground.
The shouts followed soon after as the civilians ran from the street, trying to get away from the firefight that would soon take place.
The crate dropped to the ground, creating a distinct noise behind me, I turned again, crouching down and putting my forearm against the side of the man who I just robbed, pulling the trigger again, and dropping the second guard to the ground.
My blaster was grabbed and I let it go, my fist coming in contact with the back of the knee, forcing the last trooper to crouch. Grabbing the sides of his helmet, I pushed forward, crashing his head against the crate and knocking him out.
I opened the crate they were transferring, seeing blasters inside. Closing it, I moved to the others, opened two, and looked inside again. There were more blasters. I took a deep breath of annoyance, and closed them again, activating the levitation function of three and attaching them to the hoverbikes that they were brought here with.
The force buzzed around me in warning, and I ducked my head as a blaster bolt missed me by an inch. The hoverbike whirred to life as I turned the handle, speeding off with the crates.
The scared civilians might have clued the patrol, but I didn't much care right now.
I pressed down on one handle, tilting the hoverbike to the side, turning a corner, narrowly avoiding a passing civilian.
It wasn't long before two more speeders caught up to me, mostly due to the lack of weight on their transports.
I hummed, jumping up on the seat of my speeder and jumping over to the other one, landing behind the trooper riding it, I reached for the hand that held his blaster pistol, grabbed it, and pushed down, my other hand pressing on his side and pushing, throwing his off the speeder, the blaster remaining in my hand.
I looked it over for a moment, absently tilting to the side, to avoid the shots from the second scout trooper before aiming at him, and pulling the trigger.
The bolt hit the fuel tank, my eyes widening for a split second before force whirled around me protectively, shielding me from the shock wave.
The bike swerved to the side by the sudden disturbance, knocking me off. Rolling on the ground I looked up, my eyes roaming over the highway, searching for the speeder I stole.
As soon as the smoke cleared up, I spotted it, stopped a little ways away from the explosion, looks like it slowed down since there was nobody to hold the handle.
I sighed, getting up and dusting myself off, looking at the blaster that was a few feet away from me, before kicking it to the side.
"Innacurate piece of shit..."
I muttered, walking over and getting on it again. I needed to get out of here before more showed up.
Starting the speeder again, I turned a corner, to head into an alleyway that led to the sewer pipe entrance, reaching back and detaching the crates from the speeder, I jumped on one of them as they glided on top of the surface before going over the hole, the hovering mechanism slowing it down for the crates to float down slowly.
I reached out to the force, feeling it through the mechanism of the entrance and closing the hatch.
There, perfect heist...
I sat down on the crate I was on, sighing and looking down the pipe. I studied the layout, so, If I went that way, I should come out at the edge of the city, I could make my way over to the communication tower after.
Jumping off the crate, my feet splashed in the water as I suppressed a shudder. These would need to be washed, multiple times before I wore them again.
It wasn't long before I reached the edge of the city, and then the communication tower Ezra and I made our home. Opening the door, I pushed the crates inside, only to see a complete mess in the room, like a tornado just passed through, and Ezra, trying to clean up.
I took a deep breath and breathed out through my nose, pulling down my makeshift mask.
"Ezra..."
The said boy looked over at me, his expression turning sheepish.
"I can explain...?"
