Chapter 5: CH: 05 of Star Wars! Confirmed!
{Chapter: 05 of Star Wars! Confirmed!}
Leo had been deeply immersed in the vast array of documents, absorbing and analyzing the information before him. These records, combined with the knowledge that had been instilled into his mind, gradually merged, solidifying as his own understanding.
However, simply reading through documents was not enough. True comprehension came from application—the real test was in putting theory into practice.
"Selene, I am going to inspect Planet Dawn. Please assist in making the necessary arrangements," Leo said, closing the holographic screen in front of him and giving his command.
[Understood, Administrator. Additionally, it is advised that you bring your personal bodyguard along for security purposes during your excursion.]
"A personal bodyguard? Very well, summon him at once. I would like to meet this individual," Leo responded, intrigued by the prospect of having such protection.
The heavy metallic doors of the bridge slid open with a smooth hiss, and a towering figure stepped inside. He was clad in a meticulously pressed military uniform, his stance exuding discipline and authority. His physique was a perfect representation of an inverted triangle—broad shoulders, a solid chest, and a tapered waist. However, what stunned Leo the most was the man's face, which was unmistakably familiar—sharp features chiseled like iron, eyes as cold and focused as steel.
The moment Leo laid eyes on the bodyguard, he instinctively stood up, his jaw slightly agape in disbelief. "This...you... it can't be..."
"From this day forward, I will serve as your personal bodyguard. You may refer to me as T-850," the man announced in a firm, commanding voice, standing rigidly with his hands clasped behind his back. His tone was strong and slightly hoarse, yet precise and emotionless.
Leo blinked rapidly, processing what he had just heard. "You're... the Terminator?!" he blurted out, barely able to believe what was in front of him.
"I am a T-850 combat robot. The term 'Terminator' is not registered in my database. Please elaborate," the figure replied robotically, showing no hint of recognition.
Leo exhaled sharply and turned to the ship's AI. "Mastermind, I need an explanation. Now."
[T-850 is a designated robotic bodyguard assigned to you as the Administrator. Its database is equipped with advanced combat strategies, security protocols, and critical protective measures designed for high-risk scenarios. It is optimized to fulfill its mission flawlessly,] the AI responded swiftly.
"No, that's not what I meant. Where did this robot come from?" Leo pressed further, still trying to wrap his mind around the situation.
[No source information is available. The T-850 model was stored within the mothership's security vault as a specialized bodyguard unit for you and other key personnel. Additional units can be manufactured through the ship's onboard factory if required.]
Leo glanced once more at the imposing figure standing before him, its expression as unreadable as stone. Finally, nodding in understanding, he gave his order. "Retrieve your weapons and follow me."
---
The transport ship descended smoothly onto the designated landing pad on Planet Dawn. As the metallic ramp extended, Leo and T-850 stepped out onto the firm ground, the artificial wind from the ship's thrusters stirring up dust around them. Nearby, a group of workers wasted no time, immediately unloading the cargo from the ship's storage bay.
Each worker was equipped with mechanized exoskeletons—specialized engineering suits designed to enhance their physical capabilities. Unlike military-grade exoskeletons, these were built purely for labor, featuring reinforced limbs, integrated tool modules, and heavy-duty lifting capabilities. With their assistance, each worker could effortlessly transport up to 500 kilograms, significantly increasing the efficiency of construction operations.
The colony itself had already begun to take shape. Rows of two-story residential buildings stood in place, their structures sturdy and well-constructed. Infrastructure projects were progressing steadily, with support facilities and essential services being assembled. By the lake, Leo noticed several settlers had taken the initiative to install open-air hydroponic systems, cultivating crops in the fresh environment.
As he walked through the settlement, every resident who saw him stopped their work momentarily to offer him a respectful bow and a warm greeting.
"Hello, Administrator. My name is Graham. I specialize in colony management and was recently appointed by you as the village chief here," a young man with neatly combed brown hair introduced himself enthusiastically, extending his hand for a firm shake. "I was sent down right after my appointment and didn't have the chance to meet you in person. Just as I was regretting that, you arrived for an inspection! This is an incredible honor!"
Leo gave him an encouraging pat on the shoulder. "I will continue monitoring the colony's development. If any issues arise, do not hesitate to report them directly to me."
"It is my utmost honor! You entrusted me with this vital responsibility and granted me the privilege of boarding the mothership. I cannot thank you enough!" Graham responded, his voice filled with genuine gratitude. Taking a deep breath, he quickly composed himself and transitioned to a more serious matter. "By the way, Administrator, during our construction, we discovered a species of native protozoa. Based on their behavior and communication patterns, they appear to be intelligent. How should we proceed with them?"
Leo's brow furrowed slightly. "Indigenous life forms?"
"Yes, sir. Look over there," Graham pointed toward the distant treeline. Peering through his high-powered binoculars, Leo spotted several figures moving cautiously at the forest's edge.
They were small, furry humanoids standing around one meter tall, draped in primitive animal hide garments. Each one carried a crude stone-tipped spear, and they were gesturing curiously toward the transport ship. Some were chattering excitedly, seemingly in awe of the vessel, while others had fallen to their knees in reverence, performing what looked like ritualistic bows.
Leo's stomach dropped as an eerie sense of recognition washed over him. His face stiffened, and his grip on the binoculars tightened. He had seen these creatures before—not in reality, but on a screen, countless times.
"Ewoks… They're really Ewoks…" he murmured under his breath, almost unable to believe his own eyes.
The realization sent a shiver down his spine. No wonder this planet had looked so familiar to him before. A planetary system where multiple moons orbited a single gas giant instead of a star—it was an unmistakable setup. His mind raced through the details. The name 'Dawn Planet' had been given to this celestial body, but in its original form, this place had a different name.
Endor. The Forest Moon of Endor.
Leo inhaled deeply, trying to steady himself. His fingers instinctively tightened into a fist as he contemplated what this meant. Endor was one of the most iconic locations in the Star Wars saga, the central battleground in "Return of the Jedi." If this truly was Endor, then that meant he had somehow found himself in the Star Wars universe.
A creeping sense of unease settled over him. His so-called capital, impressive as it was, amounted to nothing in comparison to the titanic power structures in this universe. A single Imperial-class Star Destroyer could obliterate his entire operation in moments. The mothership—his pride and symbol of civilization—was nothing more than an immigration vessel, utterly incapable of matching the sheer firepower of a galactic superpower.
Covering his forehead with one hand, Leo let out a weary sigh. "So it's really Star Wars..." "..." he muttered, feeling the weight of the realization pressing down on him. He had far more to worry about than just colony development. If the Empire ever took notice of him, his troubles would be far greater than he had ever anticipated.
He covered his forehead and sighed. It seems that he really has to worry about the attack of the Star Destroyer. His capital is really nothing in this world. Although the Kushen mothership is huge, it is just a civilian mothership for immigration.
So, the crucial question now is: what era is this? There is no debris from any battles lingering in space around Endor, which means that the war that ultimately led to the fall of the Galactic Empire has not yet begun. However, before that climactic conflict, this galaxy had already endured countless wars—some spanning generations—witnessing the destruction of the Galactic Republic, the rise of the Galactic Empire, its eventual splintering, and a myriad of other significant events.
In short, this is a universe constantly embroiled in war…
After contemplating the situation for a moment, Leo turned to Graham and issued his next order. "Contact the mothership and request that the next transport ship bring down a few crates of candy, along with some heavy machine guns. These indigenous natives do not appear to be overtly hostile, so you may cautiously approach them. Use the candy as a means to establish a friendly rapport, but do not let your guard down. At the same time, fortify our defenses—construct several sentry towers in their vicinity."
"Understood, Administrator! I'll see to it right away," Graham responded without hesitation.
Leo gave him a firm pat on the shoulder and offered an encouraging smile. "Keep up the good work, Graham. Being the village chief is just the beginning. I expect to see you rise to town chief, mayor, and eventually governor."
Graham's eyes lit up with determination. "Yes! I will give it my all!" He straightened up, saluted sharply, and then, fueled by sheer motivation, picked up a large supply crate and ran toward the under-construction wind power station. He did so without any assistance from the mechanized exoskeleton, demonstrating his dedication by immediately immersing himself in the colony's development efforts.
Leo let out a slow, relieved breath. He took a few steps forward, allowing himself a moment to take in the sheer beauty of the world before him.
The gentle trickle of running water reached his ears as he gazed out over a glassy lake, its surface reflecting the brilliant hues of the sky. Unknown species of birds soared gracefully overhead, their cries echoing through the open landscape. Nearby, startled animals bolted across the grassy plains, their powerful limbs propelling them toward safety, while patient predators trailed behind, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
Beyond the plains, colossal trees loomed over the horizon, their canopies stretching toward the heavens. The distant mountains stood in silent majesty, their peaks shrouded in wisps of mist. Overhead, a layer of darkening clouds steadily gathered, signaling that rain was soon to follow.
For a brief moment, the sights, sounds, and scents of this untamed world evoked a sense of nostalgia. If it weren't for the alien flora and fauna surrounding him, he might have believed he was standing in the middle of the African savannah during springtime. The vibrant life of this planet gradually eased the tension in his heart, and without realizing it, he closed his eyes and took in a deep, steady breath…
---
"Administrator!"
"Administrator! Wake up!"
The urgent voices pulled Leo out of his stupor. As his consciousness snapped back into focus, he realized something unsettling—he had fallen asleep.
No… that wasn't quite right. He had fallen asleep while standing?
"What the…" Leo began, but before he could fully process the situation, a cacophony of loud thuds filled the air. His attention snapped toward the source of the noise just in time to witness over a dozen crates plummeting from midair, crashing onto the ground with their contents spilling out in disarray.
"What happened?" Leo demanded, spinning toward the T-850, who had been stationed by his side the entire time.
"The objects around you began levitating uncontrollably just moments ago," the combat android responded in its characteristic monotone. "However, your vital signs remained normal. It appeared as though you were simply asleep."
Leo frowned deeply, turning toward Graham, who was hovering nearby. "Is this true? I was asleep while standing, and everything around me floated?"
Graham nodded hesitantly, still visibly unsettled. "Yes, sir. We didn't dare approach at first. Your bodyguard confirmed that your physical condition was stable, so we decided not to intervene. But… it was really eerie."
Leo's mind raced, trying to rationalize the phenomenon. "Could it be oxygen intoxication? Or…"
A realization struck him, sending a chill down his spine. There was another possibility. A bizarre and unnerving one. But to confirm it, he needed more data.
He exhaled sharply and made a decision. "Forget it. I'll take the next transport ship back to the mothership and run a full medical examination on myself. Whatever this is, I need to understand it."
At that moment, the communicator in his ear crackled to life, and Selene's voice, usually calm and measured, carried an uncharacteristic urgency.
[Mr. Administrator, I sincerely apologize for the interruption, but we have an urgent matter requiring your immediate attention. Moments ago, the mothership intercepted a hyperspace transmission originating from the planet Dawn.] The voice of Selene suddenly came from the communicator.
Leo's breath caught in his throat.
Hyperspace transmission?
His fingers clenched involuntarily as a storm of thoughts flooded his mind. Who could have sent it? More importantly… who was meant to receive it?
