Star Wars: CT-0292 Vaughn

"Captain Vaughn." I heard a voice call, and I turned towards it.

As a Clone, and surrounded by identical, we couldn´t distinguish whom was whom purely by voice, which was sort of annoying, but it was just that, a minor annoyance.

Turning around, I spotted Rex approaching me.

"Sir!" I said, as I saluted him. And the men sparring before me did so as well. 

"At-ease." Rex said, and I nodded for my men to continue sparring. 

"Vaughn, we've gotten a new mission directive, coming straight from the Jedi High Council." Rex said. 

"We're to head to Onderon, alongside General Kenobi, General Skywalker and Commander Tano, we are to train the resistance forces. And as you're the most experienced in training." Rex said, leaving the reasoning behind me joining unsaid, but it was clear I was brought in to train em.

"Understood, Sir. When are we heading off?" I asked him, and he smiled, a devilish smile. And I knew what was coming.

"Right. Now." He said, before he turned around and began walking.

I don't even know what to say, it's as if he enjoys jumping on me with random missions. 

I sighed, as I turned around to my men, and I spotted Lieutenant Tyr, and he caught me.

I simply nodded at him, and he understood. I had a mission, and he was taking charge.

And with that, I turned around and hurried to catch up with Captain Rex, and once we arrived. I was met by Anakin, Kenobi and Ahsoka.

"This is Valkyrie-2929, we're coming up on the drop spot." And with that the shuttles front door opened, and the Jedi jumped out.

Followed by me and Rex, with our jetpacks. 

I free jumped it, and when I closed in on the ground, I activated it. Softening my fall. And with that, we began sneaking through the forest, Kenobi and Ahsoka went up high, while I, Rex and Anakin followed through the ground. 

After a few minutes, I noticed we were being followed.

"We're being followed." I whispered to Anakin and he nodded.

"I know" Was all the answer I got, but I knew we would be found, if this went according to the original series, which I hoped it did. 

And we were quickly approached, after a few meters a horse suddenly appeared infront of us, I don´t quite know know the horse travelled through the forest essentially soundless, but I didn´t want to know either. 

"Who are you, identify yourselves." The female ontop of the first horse said, and the next second. Multiple men appeared from within the forest, including another horse. 

Anakin then took off his hood, which he was wearing and revealed himself.

"It's alright, we're friends." He said, as the girls eyes widened.

"Jedi." She gasped, and the next second, Kenobi and Ahsoka appeared. 

"I'm Commander Tano, we're here to help you take back your planet." Ahsoka said, as she too removed her cloak. 

"My name is Steela, and I will take you to our secret base." She said, and I caught the eye of Rex, he was already disliking these rebels.

They hadn't even done anything to verify our identity, simply by using a "Jedi Robe" was enough for these people to throw themselves at our feet, and lead us directly to their hidden base. 

And so, with that. We began following these people through the forest.

And as we got closer to the base, I got to see those flying beasts which they called pets, it was one thing to see them on TV, but another entirely in real life, they were simply said, unique. They had of ancient dinosaurs, but their wings seemed more like hands, and they could use them as hands.

And with that, we walked into their base. It was a large ruin, whereas the rebels had taken refuge. They were sitting around in the open, chatting loudly.

"Hmm, a bit rough around the edges. Wouldn't you say?" Kenobi said optimistically.

"That´s a heavy understatement." I said

"That's why I brought Rex and Vaughn." Anakin said, and Rex sighed.

"They're not exactly what I would call shinies, sir. But, I could work with them." Rex said. 

And with that, one of the guys ontop of the bird-like animal began flying down, landing in front of us, and Steela. If I wasn't wrong, he was the self-appointed leader of this specific group of rebels, and the older brother of Steela. 

"General Skywalker." He said as he approached us. 

"At your service." Anakin responded.

"This is General Kenobi, Commander Tano, Captain Rex and Captain Vaughn." Anakin said, introducing us all. 

"We're looking forward to taking the fight, to those ´scraping droids." He said, and I almost rolled my eyes, forgetting that I didn´t have a helmet on.

I was wearing a normal black jacket and pants, with a laser-proof vest of sorts, which would defend against some of the weaker lasers. Rex had the same armour, but he had a cap and goggles, which I decided not to wear.

I had some honour left in my decision of clothes, and that hat wouldn't protect for shit. 

"Yes, all in good time." Obi-Wan said, and the guy decided to introduce himself.

"Saw, Saw Gerrera." 

"He fashions himself as our leader, but nobody elected him." Steela said from the side, with a humorous expression, finding it funny. 

"Well, for now. We're in charge. And there's much to learn." Anakin said, before calling everyone around the only HoloPad they had. 

....

"The Separatist have strength in numbers, we´re gonna show you how to target, and destroy them." Anakin said, as Obi-Wan stepped up.

"Now, to be clear. We are not here to fight your war, rather to show you how to conduct it in the most efficient and successful way possible." Obi-Wan said, before Anakin opened the stage for us to speak.

"Rex, Vaughn." He said, and we both stepped up. And Rex spoke up. 

"I´ll show you how the 501st destroy clankers. First I need volunteers to carry supplies from our entry point, half a click west." He said, and Saw spoke up. 

"Shouldn't be a problem." He said.

"Good." Rex responded, and with that, they began moving. 

I made to follow them, but I was called to Anakin and Obi-Wan.

"Vaughn." Anakin said, waving me over and I complied, making my way to them. 

"Captain Vaughn, Commander Tano, has an, eh, unique relationship with Lux over there." Kenobi said, pointing to Lux and Ahsoka, whom were talking as we speak.

"Ahsoka is young, and she is learning. But we must avoid her making a fatal mistake, so keep an eye on her. Love can blind people." Anakin said, and I nodded. Though I don't know why he's got the right to speak.

"Of course, General. I´ll keep an eye on her." I said, saluting them. Before I turned around and left, heading after Rex. 

Well, to think they noticed it already, I didn´t think they´d see Ashoka's feeling for Lux even before they saw the two of them speak, but perhaps Padme has told Anakin quite a bit.
