Chapter 119: Cain's Group vs 11 Peak-level Conqueror Rank Awakeners!
When he tilted his head to see who was stopping him this time, he immediately frowned upon seeing Garran walking toward him with a wide, harmless smile, as though he was up to something bothersome.
Garran immediately raised his hands as he noticed Cain's frown.
"Wow—wow, calm down... I just want to be friends with you. I don't have any malicious intentions like Lucan did."
He then added, while extending his hand, "Let me introduce myself properly. I'm Garran Stormborne from the Stormborne Family."
Cain nodded his head and shook Garran's hand lightly. "I don't mind being your friend since I quite like your character. As you already know, I'm Cain Frostbane from the Frostbane Family."
"I don't mean to be rude to you, but I have some matters to attend to. Let's talk another time." Cain finished with a polite nod.
"Don't worry, I just wanted to say hi, that's all." Garran chuckled.
"Thanks for your understanding. I hope we will see each other soon," Cain said with a smile before turning toward his group and leaving.
"See ya when I see ya," Garran called after him, waving his hand. "If you have any problems in the future, you can find me, and I'll help as much as I can."
Garran didn't know why, but he found Cain intriguing. Something about his unique personality and demeanor gave him a strong hunch that befriending Cain was the right choice.
The moment Cain's group left the building and walked onto the street, the young man in white robes immediately pulled out a compass and examined it carefully.
However, as soon as he glanced at the compass, his expression turned to shock, surprising even the old man in front of him.
"What's wrong?" The old man urged, as he was curious what he had found that he showed such an expression.
"See it for yourself." The young man tossed the compass to the old man. "Tell me, what do you think about this?"
The young man then retrieved a small black dragon token from his waist, ordering one of his subordinates to tail Cain's group with the utmost care.
When the old man checked the compass, he also made a shocked expression before he immediately confirmed it once again as he glanced towards Cain's direction.
However, the moment he probed further, Fenix suddenly stopped, tilting his head back and glaring at the old man, a silent warning that he had crossed the line.
The old man instantly shifted his attention and didn't probe further since he would definitely anger Fenix.
"The situation is indeed strange, Young Master Draven," the old man said with a frown, turning back to the young man.
"Old Yan, tell me your opinion first," Draven suggested with a smile. "Then I'll share mine, and we can finalize our decision."
Old Yan nodded before explaining his observations. He recounted the unusual findings from the compass when he probed Cain's group.
According to the compass, the three individuals with high-level bloodlines were Fenix, Dante, and Anya. Among them, Fenix's bloodline ranked the lowest, while Anya's was the highest.
What baffled him most was Cain's role in the group. From everything they had observed, Cain appeared to be the leader, despite the compass showing no trace of a bloodline in him.
It was not that he hadn't thought of the possibility of Cain wearing an extremely high-level treasure to hide his bloodline, but as far as he knew, there was no such treasure even in the main world that was capable of doing so.
That's why he felt weird when he didn't detect any bloodline on Cain's body, as they thought Cain was the one who had the highest-level bloodline, as he didn't fear the Pyrrath Family and acted as if he were the leader of the group.
Old Yan also hadn't thought that the one who had the highest-level bloodline in the group was Anya instead.
A minute later, after Old Yan explained his thoughts about the situation, he then looked at Draven as he was curious about what he would do in this situation.
Draven nodded thoughtfully before speaking. "I had similar thoughts," he admitted. "But this situation demands a careful approach. That's why I've decided on a new plan." Experience new tales on My Virtual Library Empire
Draven then explained to Old Yan that he had similar thoughts and decided to proceed with the plan.
However, he had a new plan that could secure more chances as the weirdness about Cain's group had increased the unknown possibility and reduced their chance.
Draven's new idea was to rope in Lucan and his protector to become their ally since it would definitely be a huge help, as Lucan's protector's strength was definitely stronger than any of his men.
Though this plan was not fixed, as the one who decided the call was them, he could only try his best in recruiting him to become his ally.
When Old Yan heard the new plan that Draven had come up with, his eyes lit up, as it would be almost certain that they would be able to complete the mission with Lucan's protector as an addition to the team.
But before approaching Lucan, they needed a convincing strategy. The mission was a secret, and exposing their true intentions with targeting Cain's group for their bloodlines could be catastrophic for them.
Because, before they could even attack Cain's group, Draven and Old Yan might even die here since they detected that some people here also have high-level bloodlines, and their family members or someone they were close with must have been killed in the hands of other branches or even in his family's hand.
Since the group that attacked people for their bloodline had become a common enemy for those who carried high level bloodlines to the point that they would unite to kill them as if it was an unwritten rule in the Main World.
After discussing their approach in detail, Draven and Old Yan finally devised a feasible plan to persuade Lucan and his protector.
…
10 minutes later,
As Cain's group made their way toward the mountain range before, Cain's expression suddenly turned solemn. Notifications flooded his mind, and he couldn't help but mutter in disbelief.
"What the actual fuck? Eleven people at Peak Conqueror rank? Even Lucan and Garran? I can understand Lucan, but Garran too? Was it all an act?"
