Chapter 711: Chapter 690 ( Meeting )

"You don't remember anything?" - Shizuku asked worriedly as she watched her friend shake her head.

"Did something bad happen?" - Kaori asked as she looked around because she felt that something horrible had happened, but she honestly didn't understand what was wrong.

"The person you now control her body, is the one responsible for seriously injuring you, to the point that the divine stone elixir couldn't heal you, that's why we transferred you to this new body" - Cloud answered honestly.

"And what happened to her?" - Kaori asked, referring to Noint.

"She died" - Tio answered while hissing because honestly, she didn't want to remember what had happened.

"Oh..." - Kaori nodded before moving her arms uncomfortably because she could feel that this body wasn't hers - "I guess I died, right?"

"Not exactly" - Yue answered while shaking her head - "You could say you were about to die, but we managed to save you in time."

Kaori didn't answer, she just nodded weakly, even though it was obvious that they were lying. She was sure she had died, and they were trying to make her feel better about herself, after all, no one would like to hear that they revived her.

"Anyway, I think you'd better touch the sphere and get the magic from this maze, after all, you made it all the way to the end" - Cloud said calmly while giving her some space to adjust to the idea of a new body.

Shizuku quickly walked to her friend and took her hand to show her support.

The others surrounded her as they chatted with her so she wouldn't feel strange now that she had gotten a new life.

Cloud quickly took Myu to accompany him to "investigate" the surroundings, which left the little girl with a happy smile.

"How are you feeling?" - Remia asked as she looked at the revived girl, though inside she was grateful that Cloud took her daughter with him and distracted her from the scene she had witnessed until recently.

"Honestly, I don't know what to say," Kaori replied as she looked at herself again. Her black hair now a beautiful silver color, and her eyes were now a cold electric blue. She had completely changed and didn't know whether to feel happy, or sad.

"I'm sure you'll adjust soon, besides, this is good for you, I mean, you're someone much stronger now" - Remia said as she tried to cheer her up a bit.

Kaori nodded as she touched the sphere and gained a new magic.

"Kaori Onee-chan is she okay?" - Myu asked as she looked at her father.

"Of course" - Cloud replied with a small smile - "She'll come play with you after your mother and the others talk to her."

"Ok!" - smiled Myu as the two continued to investigate the place, though to the little girl's annoyance, they didn't find anything fun or exciting.

Cloud knew this was quite possible, so he was not disappointed, not to mention that the information gathered was more than enough.

"What now, dad?" - Myu asked as she kicked a small stone because she was hoping for an adventure, or at least to find a secret room full of treasures.

"Did you touch the glowing stone?" - Cloud asked as he raised an eyebrow, and even if he didn't like the idea of this little girl being in a place as dangerous as this maze, at least they could use the moment for the girl to get stronger, so she could defend herself enough to make time for them to arrive to give her help.

"Nope ~" - Myu replied as she shook her head.

"I guess that's what we'll do, so you'll get a new power" - smiled Cloud as he watched the little girl jump a few times from the excitement she was feeling.

"Come on, come on ~!" - Myu exclaimed as the two returned to where the others were.

"They're back already?" - Shizuku asked in surprise.

"Not yet," replied Myu as she cocked her head to the side.

Shizuku gave her a confused look before realizing that the little girl was teasing her - "Where did you learn to say sarcastic remarks from?"

"I don't know" - Myu replied innocently - "Daddy, I want to touch the orb!"

"Ok" - nodded Cloud as he shrugged, though not before looking at Kaori and noticing how she seemed to have returned to normal, or at least as normal as possible.

"Look, I have wings!" - Kaori exclaimed as she summoned wings of light and began to float.

"Well, at least she's taking things slow" - mused Tio as the others shook their heads.

"I think it's time for us to go back, we still have some things to do and I have to make sure that the demon attack hasn't continued" - Cloud said seriously.

"Oh, you're right" - nodded Tio as she watched Kaori fall to the ground, impacting her face in a not very pleasant way.

"Ugh, I have to practice more" - muttered Kaori as she sighed, she quickly ran to her old body after getting up, and put it away in her inventory, so as to at least give it a dignified burial.

Cloud said nothing when he saw this, after all, it was obvious that the girl was still self-conscious despite how much she seemed to have overcome the situation.

[I wish you good luck on your adventure and please save this world from the clutches of the mad god...]

"This has got to be a fucking joke!" - Ehit exclaimed angrily as he watched from his dimension as the Irregular's group was walking through the human capital with a woman who was a cross between his apostle and the human he had managed to severely wound - "How!"

Ehit began to think at high speed until he remembered something that infuriated him even more - "Laus Barn!"

Just remembering that man who had once been one of his most loyal devotees made him explode because he remembered that Laus was the user of the god-age magic, the [Spirit Magic], which could touch the soul of all creatures and influence them directly.

"Damn!" - Ehit roared as he felt how he was about to lose his sanity - "Not only did I lose one of my apostles, but I also gave more power to my enemies!"

Ehit's silhouette trembled as he thought of this while destroying everything in his path, only to notice how a sharp pain invaded his insides.

Slowly, he looked at the place where the pain had originated and saw a dark stain spreading across his body.

"Abysmal Corruption!" - Ehit exclaimed in terror as he gritted his teeth and cut off his limb, after all, he could grow it back, but if he let the corruption invade his body any more than it should, then the damage would be irreversible.

"Damn irregular!" - Ehit roared as he watched his limb wither before turning to dust, after all, it was no longer being protected by his divinity.

Ehit began to gasp for breath because even though he hadn't suffered severe damage, losing one of his limbs had dealt a severe blow to his divinity.

"Damn!" - Ehit exclaimed again as he walked to his throne and gritted his teeth because this was the first time since his birth that he had suffered so many losses in such a short time. First, he had lost a fragment of his divinity by fighting the irregular, then, he had lost one of his most loyal and ancient apostles, and finally, he had lost much of his divinity by severing his corrupted limb.

"I vow revenge, Irregular!" - Ehit roared as he made the decision to rest until he regained his strength, though that should take at least a week or two.

A day had passed since Cloud and the others, had left the great labyrinth of the divine mountain, during which time they had returned to the other students to explain the situation as clearly as possible.

Some of them were still puzzled, though they had to admit that the blond's words made sense, besides, it would explain why the church had been looking for them with every opportunity.

"What about Ai-chan sensei?" - A boy asked as he watched as his teacher still stood with a blank stare.

"I'm going to heal her after a few hours because my new ability has a 24-hour time frame to be able to be reused" - Cloud answered honestly, after all, he didn't gain anything by hiding this detail from them.

"So conditional?" - asked another boy while frowning.

"Intervening directly with someone's soul, it's taboo" - replied Tio with a frown - "It's practically playing with someone's life, that's why when someone wants to use this kind of powers, there are many self-imposed limitations, otherwise, the owner of this ability could cause chaos that no one could stop."

"Makes sense" - muttered a girl while nodding - "But leaving that aside, how sure is it that you manage to save Ai-chan sensei?"

"Almost 100%." - Cloud replied calmly while pointing at Kaori - "I have to do something similar with her."

"True, Kaori also looks very different although I have to admit that I like your new look" - said a girl happily.
