Soul Land:The Dragon King's God of Nature

Chapter 26: Chapter 26: The Righteous King Tang

The East Sea Mecha Association, an enormous organization combining designers, fabricators, and technicians, was also referred to as the Soul Engineer Association. It was said that, thousands of years ago, these professions were all part of the soul engineering field. With the development of soul-powered mechs and battle armor, they were later divided into three specialties.

Located close to East Sea Academy, the Mecha Association consisted of three connected thirty-story towers. The towers were joined at the lower seven floors and branched out individually from the eighth floor upwards, forming a shape that locals jokingly called the "Big Plug."

Of course, members of the association preferred calling it the "Trident."

Jing Shaoyu strolled confidently into the Trident's first-floor lobby, showing his designer's badge to the front desk assistant, who gave him an admiring look as he headed directly to the elevators.

At the same time, near the Mecha Association, a fierce battle was about to break out in East Sea Park.

Although Jing Shaoyu's presence hadn't prevented the scheduled showdown between Tang Wulin and Xie Xie, a group of mysterious individuals had taken notice. However, they seemed unconcerned with the children's scuffle, at least until...

"Lord, are you sure you won't reconsider?" A young man with black hair and golden-streaked bangs, clad in black, spoke with respect.

Surprisingly, the one he referred to as "Lord" was a young girl. She appeared to be around Tang Wulin and Xie Xie's age, dressed in a white outfit, with long black hair and deep, dark eyes. Her features were delicate yet ordinary, but upon closer inspection, her presence grew more captivating. A quiet elegance surrounded her, like a hidden orchid, leaving an indelible impression.

Her large eyes were clear, her voice calm and emotionless. "No need. This is the wager between 'her' and me. Do not worry."

"But—" began a woman with green hair and a blue-green dress, though the black-haired youth stopped her, shaking his head, a look of resignation in his golden eyes. Seeing this, the woman fell silent.

Nearby, Tang Wulin and Xie Xie were already deep in battle. Just as Xie Xie's Light Dragon Dagger struck Tang Wulin's arm, a piercing dragon roar rang out, accompanied by blinding golden light. The sudden phenomenon left Xie Xie stunned—and caught the attention of the white-clad girl's group.

The girl's body trembled, her face flashing with emotions—first excitement, then disbelief, sadness, and finally, a cold indifference. She spoke, her voice wavering, "…It's his aura! He… has truly fallen."

"Lord!" The black-clad youth's voice was filled with shock and anger as he addressed the girl.

Understanding his thoughts, she nodded slowly. "Bear One, go test him."

"Yes, Lord!" replied a burly, bald man, his face flashing with a bloodthirsty grin as he vanished.

Not far away, Tang Wulin, still dazed from the surge of the Golden Dragon King's power, had just punched Xie Xie away and was now kneeling, his mind reeling. Suddenly, a towering, menacing man appeared before him, a giant claw slicing through the air and closing in on him.

As Tang Wulin seemed fated to die beneath this mighty claw, a blue-gold trident symbol appeared on his forehead, and a stern, cold voice resounded, "Hmph!"

The sound alone, though faint, sent the burly man retreating dozens of steps. Before he could even register his shock, he felt an overpowering pressure bearing down on him. With a roar, his body swelled, transforming into a thirty-meter-tall Dark Gold Giant Bear.

Meanwhile, something had shifted within Tang Wulin. Standing slowly, he bore an expression of calm profundity, as though he were a boundless ocean. His small frame, marked by the blue-gold trident symbol on his brow, seemed to command an aura that left the giant bear feeling as if he was facing a vast abyss.

"Who… who are you?" the bear asked, his voice shaking with terror.

"Withdraw, or perish!" The voice issuing from Tang Wulin was cold and devoid of emotion, blue light occasionally gleaming at the corners of his eyes. It sounded both like a threat and a warning.

As he finished speaking, several figures appeared before him, led by the black-haired youth.

Seeing the trident symbol on Tang Wulin's forehead, the youth's eyes widened in shock. "Is it… you?!"

"Leave now," intoned Tang Wulin, "and I will allow the soul beast lineage to endure. Otherwise, death awaits you all."

"Arrogant!" the black-haired youth spat, anger flaring. "The things that belong to our soul beast race, we will reclaim ourselves! You're just a fragment of consciousness—if we destroy you, so what?"

He thrust out his palm, which transformed into an enormous, black dragon claw, exuding a murderous intent as it descended upon Tang Wulin.

"Impudence!" Tang Wulin's voice boomed in anger, and the trident symbol on his forehead flared. A golden trident appeared, instantly meeting the oncoming dragon claw.

With a sharp "Zheng—" sound, the impact was contained within a three-meter radius, absorbed by a surrounding blue-gold halo, allowing the massive disturbance to go unnoticed within East Sea Park. Only a girl beneath an ancient tree in the distance saw everything.

The girl watched, her face impassive, though her clenched fists betrayed her turmoil. She now understood; he was indeed dead, his essence and core sealed within that child's body. What a calculated scheme!

With a mocking smile, she turned away, the green-haired woman following closely behind.

As the golden trident clashed with the black dragon claw, the black-clad youth and his companions vanished, leaving only an unconscious Xie Xie and an unsteady Tang Wulin.

"Unbelievable!" Tang Wulin's once-profound gaze flickered with a trace of frustration. "If only I hadn't been limited to three interventions, if only I didn't have my grand plan, if only my true form could descend here! How infuriating! Now, with only one intervention left, I can't act recklessly anymore."

Sighing, he closed his eyes, attempting to reach out to his father, now the Douluo World's ruler, and his mother, the planet's core, to watch over their grandson.

However…

"What's going on? What's going on?"

He cried out in frustration, realizing he couldn't contact his parents. How could this be? If it were just his father, Tang Hao, it would be understandable—his father was prone to disappearing. But why couldn't he reach his mother? Had she sacrificed herself for his father again?

The mighty Tang God-King was momentarily at a loss.

Unbeknownst to him, when he had sent Tang Wulin to Douluo, his parents had suffered a backlash and were now recovering in seclusion, unable to help with their grandchild.

Back at the Mecha Association, Jing Shaoyu was oblivious to the events unfolding in East Sea Park or the long-term impact they would have.

At that moment, he was focused on refining his designs in an office on the Mecha Association's 18th floor. This room's window faced East Sea Park. A strange feeling made him glance in that direction, but all he saw was a sea of green foliage.

"Heh," he chuckled at his own momentary distraction, shaking his head before returning to his blueprints.

Below, Tang Wulin slowly stood up, staring around at the chao

s in confusion. He glanced at the unconscious Xie Xie nearby, utterly bewildered.
