Soul Land: Xiao Yan Reincarnates as Huo Yuhao

Chapter 11: Chapter 11: The Thousand-Year Mandala Snake

"You're finally awake, little brother," Tang Ya said with a relieved smile as Xiao Yan slowly opened his eyes.

Blinking to clear his mind, Xiao Yan took in the familiar scene from his spirit sea, which was still fresh in his memory.

Tang Ya continued, "You're pretty bold, coming alone into the Star Dou Forest to hunt a spirit beast for a spirit ring. Good thing you only ran into a ten-year Wind Baboon. If it had been a century-old beast, you wouldn't have been so lucky."

"Thank you for waking me up after I passed out. If another spirit beast had shown up while I was unconscious, I'd have been in trouble." Xiao Yan cupped his fists in thanks toward Tang Ya and Bei Bei. Then he sat cross-legged, formed a unique cultivation seal, and began drawing in the energy around him.

As Xiao Yan breathed deeply, the gentle flow of spirit power surged within him, blending with his inner Dou Qi. With his first spirit ring, he could clearly feel his soul power increase.

After absorbing the surrounding energy for a while, his breathing steadied, and a soft white light appeared in his dark pupils.

At that moment, Xiao Yan felt his Dou Qi breakthrough to the sixth level!

A glimmering white spirit ring rose from his feet, swirling up to his head and pulsing rhythmically as it settled.

"A ten-year spirit ring indeed, but why does this one seem so crystal-clear?" Bei Bei and Tang Ya exchanged curious glances, but they decided not to overthink it.

Xiao Yan finally regained his focus and looked at Bei Bei and Tang Ya. "Did you two follow me here for a reason?"

"We saw you heading alone into the Star Dou Forest," Tang Ya explained. "I needed a spirit ring myself, so we thought it might be best to keep an eye on you in case anything happened."

Warmth filled Xiao Yan's heart. Other than his mother and his new teacher, he had never experienced such kindness in this world.

"Thank you both. I forgot to introduce myself earlier—my name's Xiao Yan." He smiled and bowed politely to Tang Ya and Bei Bei.

Just as he finished speaking, a rustling sound came from the surrounding woods, followed by a faint, acrid scent in the air. Xiao Yan instinctively wrinkled his nose. "Seems like there's poison around…"

"Stay alert, Xiao Yan. There's a spirit beast nearby!" Bei Bei's expression hardened, and a brilliant blue light shone from his brow. It spread to cover his entire body, enveloping him in crackling arcs of electricity.

With his spirit fully activated, Bei Bei's arms lengthened and thickened, covered in blue-violet scales. His hands transformed into claws, crackling with tiny lightning serpents. Three rings, two yellow and one purple, rose from his feet.

Suddenly, a dark figure slithered from the trees—a Mandala Snake.

"Croak!" The snake let out a strange cry as it spotted them, leaping toward Bei Bei.

"You're looking for trouble!" Bei Bei sneered, his eyes flashing with a purple light. He raised his powerful, scaled arm, creating an electric net that blocked the snake's path.

With a loud crackling sound, the Mandala Snake was thrown back by the electric net, but Bei Bei also stumbled, the snake's strength catching him off guard.

"A thousand-year Mandala Snake! Perfect, I'll use it as my third spirit ring!" Tang Ya exclaimed, her face lighting up with excitement. Xiao Yan looked at the snake, noting its large size, pink scales, and eerie red eyes that gleamed as it flicked its tongue.

Unlike Tang Ya, Bei Bei looked serious. Though he was a three-ring Soul Elder, facing a thousand-year spirit beast alone was a challenge. If not for his Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon spirit, defeating this Mandala Snake on his own would be almost impossible.

"Xiao Yan, stay back with Tang Ya. Your level is too low to face a thousand-year beast," Bei Bei ordered as he activated his first spirit ring.

"First Spirit Skill, Thunder Dragon Claw!" A surge of soul power erupted from Bei Bei's body, gathering into a blue-violet lightning claw that he launched at the Mandala Snake.

The snake sprang into the air, dodging the attack, then lashed its tail like a pink blur aimed directly at Bei Bei.

"Second Spirit Skill, Thunder Fury!"

Bei Bei's second spirit ring glowed, releasing bolts of lightning that spread into an electric net, aiming to ensnare the snake.

"Hiss!" The Mandala Snake spat a pink mist in response, filling the air with toxic vapor.

Tang Ya immediately used her Blue Silver Grass to pull Xiao Yan back, her face showing concern as she avoided the mist.

The electric net began to weaken as the pink mist eroded its strength, and with a fierce lunge, the Mandala Snake broke through, its head glowing with pink energy as it turned its sights on Xiao Yan.

"Not good! Tang Ya, get Xiao Yan out of here!" Bei Bei's heart tightened at the sight, his third spirit ring lighting up as his entire aura flared.

"Third Spirit Skill, Thunder Wrath!"

Bei Bei charged forward, his electric dragon claw pulsing with power as he raced to intercept the Mandala Snake before it could reach Xiao Yan.

Sensing danger, the Mandala Snake moved even faster, app

earing before Xiao Yan in the blink of an eye, its jaws wide open.
