Chapter 131: Chapter 131: Bibi Dong Reveals the Future
Chapter 131: Bibi Dong Reveals the Future
After a brief internal debate, Su Mo decided not to summon Bibi Dong back immediately. As long as he could summon her at any moment, he wasn't overly concerned.
He wanted to figure out why two versions of Bibi Dong had appeared and what had caused this unexpected encounter.
What puzzled him further was how Bibi Dong had left with the blood-colored mist from the Rakshasa Domain, yet the Pope, Bibi Dong, had appeared there as well.
Through Bibi Dong's shared vision, Su Mo observed that she was still within the Rakshasa Domain.
However, upon closer sensing, Su Mo realized he had completely lost control over the Rakshasa Domain itself. While he could still sense Bibi Dong and summon her, the domain had detached from his grasp.
"Could it be that Bibi Dong's awakening triggered the fusion of the Rakshasa Domains—the one she brought and the one controlled by the Pope?"
Su Mo speculated, and his suspicion deepened as he noticed a weapon hovering above the blood pool in Bibi Dong's vision: a scythe.
It was the Rakshasa God's divine artifact, the Rakshasa Demon Scythe.
The scythe hadn't been there before, and its sudden appearance, coupled with the meeting of the two Bibi Dongs, suggested a significant event had occurred.
He suspected that the Rakshasa Domain had reverted to its original state upon Bibi Dong's awakening, as she had not yet fully inherited the Rakshasa God's position. The domain might have naturally returned to the control of its original owner, the Pope.
Inside the Rakshasa Domain, the two Bibi Dongs stood face to face, their expressions equally surprised and wary.
"Who are you? How did you get here?"
The Pope, Bibi Dong, stared coldly at the other Bibi Dong, unable to understand how someone who looked exactly like her had appeared in the domain.
Bibi Dong, aware of the Pope's existence, was more surprised by the circumstances of their meeting.
However, the Pope, unaware of the other Bibi Dong's origin, assumed this was someone disguised as her.
"That's my question!" the Pope snapped. "Who are you, and why are you here?"
Her gaze sharpened, and a wave of soul pressure emanated from her body, directed at the other Bibi Dong.
Though her strength had waned, the awakened Bibi Dong wasn't affected by the pressure.
"I am you," she said calmly, ignoring the Pope's intimidation.
Her words only deepened the Pope's confusion and suspicion.
"Hmph! How could you be me? Stop pretending and reveal your true identity!"
The Pope's distrust was evident. The Death Spider Emperor martial soul emerged, its soul rings appearing one by one as she prepared for combat.
"I'm telling the truth—I'm you, but from the future. I came back in time," Bibi Dong explained, clearly exasperated. She knew the Pope wouldn't recognize her and that gaining her trust would be a challenge.
"You're from the future?"
The Pope was visibly startled.
She scrutinized the other Bibi Dong. Though she could sense the latter's strength wasn't significant and didn't feel threatened, she also couldn't detect any flaws or signs of a disguise. The other Bibi Dong genuinely seemed to be her.
Curiosity trumped caution for the moment, and the Pope refrained from attacking. "Fine. If you're from the future, prove it."
"I will. You're currently undergoing the Rakshasa God's Nine Trials, and you will complete them, becoming the next Rakshasa God," Bibi Dong said, revealing a key fact about the Pope's future.
"Is that true? I'll really complete the Nine Trials and become a Rakshasa God?"
The Pope's eyes brightened.
Truthfully, she lacked confidence in completing the trials. The later stages of the Nine Trials were undoubtedly more challenging, and she wasn't entirely sure she could pass them.
After all, becoming a god through the divine trials was an extraordinary feat, and no one had successfully done so for centuries.
"Yes. You're already on the fifth trial, and you'll soon complete the sixth and seventh," Bibi Dong explained. "The eighth trial will be more challenging, but it won't stop you. The real difficulty lies in the ninth trial—not because of its content, but because activating it requires immense energy.
"To activate the ninth trial, you'll need an energy equivalent to the sacrifice of a peak-level Rank 99 Titled Douluo."
"Ultimately, you'll find a way. You'll absorb the energies of countless soul masters to gather enough power to activate the trial. Once completed, you'll officially ascend as the Rakshasa God."
Hearing this, the Pope was visibly moved. The thought of completing the trials and becoming a god filled her with excitement and anticipation, though she still harbored some doubts.
"If you're really me from the future, why are you here?" the Pope asked, her tone now calmer but still probing.
"Because the future me—us—died. What you see now is only my remnant soul," Bibi Dong said with a somber tone.
"What?"
The Pope's face was filled with disbelief.
"How is that possible? If you're me and I become a Rakshasa God, how could I die?"
"It's because we're not the only ones who ascended to godhood. Before we became a god, our daughter, Xiao Xue, completed the Angel God's Nine Trials and became the new Angel God," Bibi Dong explained.
This revelation shocked the Pope further, but before she could fully process it, Bibi Dong added, "And no, Xiao Xue wasn't the one who killed us. The person who ended us was someone else—a greater threat. It was Tang San."
Before Bibi Dong could continue speaking, the Pope, Bibi Dong, erupted in fury.
"I should have killed that woman long ago!"
Her murderous intent surged like a tide, more intense than ever before. Her eyes gleamed blood-red, radiating cold malice.
"It wasn't Xiao Xue! She didn't harm us. In the end, Xiao Xue even sacrificed herself to save me, blocking a fatal attack from our enemy. Her divine core shattered, leaving her forever stuck at level 89, unable to recover!"
Seeing the Pope's overwhelming killing intent directed at Qian Renxue, Bibi Dong quickly explained.
Bibi Dong wasn't surprised by the Pope's reaction. After all, she had once been the same. When Qian Renxue was born, she had wanted to kill her immediately.
Only external intervention had prevented her from succeeding.
This mirrored hostility didn't shock Bibi Dong, but it deepened her pity for Qian Renxue.
"Regarding Xiao Xue, I later realized how wrong I was. I shouldn't have treated her like that!"
"You and I are the same person. So please, don't let your hatred for that scum, Qian Xunji, spill onto Xiao Xue. No matter what, she's still our daughter!"
Desperate to stop her former self from continuing to blame Qian Renxue, Bibi Dong earnestly pleaded with the Pope.
"Are you telling the truth?"
The Pope's overwhelming killing intent gave way to guilt as she processed Bibi Dong's words.
She had always known that Qian Renxue longed for her love and recognition. If the events described by her future self were true, then Qian Renxue's sacrifice would make her eventual acceptance of her daughter inevitable.
"Of course, it's true. You know how deeply Xiao Xue desires our approval," Bibi Dong affirmed.
"...Then who is our true enemy?"
The Pope fell silent for a moment, choosing not to dwell on the topic of Qian Renxue for now. Instead, she turned her attention to the real threat.
If what Bibi Dong said about the future was true, she might one day accept Qian Renxue. But for now, she remained skeptical of her supposed future self.
"It's Tang San!"
"Our future downfall is at his hands," Bibi Dong revealed without hesitation, naming Tang San as their greatest enemy.
Even though Su Mo's actions had disrupted Tang San's path, potentially preventing him from acquiring the Sea God or Asura God's inheritances, Bibi Dong still regarded him as a dire threat.
She hoped that by sharing this knowledge, the Pope would act to eliminate Tang San preemptively.
"Tang San?"
"The one with twin martial souls, just like me?"
The Pope immediately thought of Tang San from the Shrek Academy team.
"Yes, it's him!"
"In the future, he grows rapidly in strength. First, he survives the Slaughter City, gaining the Killing God Domain. Then, he destroys Xiao Xue's plans, wasting twenty years of her efforts.
"Afterward, he travels to Sea God Island to begin the Sea God's inheritance trials, ultimately becoming the Sea God!"
Bibi Dong recounted Tang San's future trajectory in detail.
"That brat… becomes the Sea God?"
"How is that even possible?"
"That insignificant ant will grow strong enough to defeat both Xiao Xue and me?"
"Even though we both become gods?"
"Unless… there's more to it? Are there other enemies besides Tang San?"
The Pope found the revelation almost impossible to believe. To her, Tang San was a mere child, someone she could crush effortlessly.
"No. The only enemy is Tang San," Bibi Dong clarified. "Aside from Xiao Xue and us, he's the only one who attains godhood.
"He doesn't just inherit the Sea God's position. He also inherits the Asura God's position, becoming a dual-god wielder."
In Bibi Dong's view, non-divine opponents were irrelevant. She also omitted the fact that they had once killed Tang San, only for him to be resurrected. She didn't want to complicate the narrative or risk provoking the Pope into targeting unrelated figures like Ning Rongrong, which could endanger Su Mo.
Su Mo, who had been silently monitoring the conversation through shared vision and hearing, finally relaxed.
Though he hadn't summoned Bibi Dong back yet, he was ready to do so at a moment's notice. His biggest concern was that Bibi Dong might say something she shouldn't.
Now it seemed clear she knew what to reveal and what to withhold, which put Su Mo at ease.
Still, he remained vigilant, prepared to act if needed.
"I wonder if she'll believe Rakshasa Sister's words," Su Mo thought.
"If she does, she'll definitely target Tang San. That would be ideal."
Su Mo's feelings toward Tang San were complicated. While he didn't harbor personal animosity, he couldn't ignore the threat Tang San posed to his Rakshasa Sister.
With that thought, any lingering guilt faded.
After all, Su Mo and Tang San shared nothing more than a fleeting connection as classmates.
If Bibi Dong chose to target Tang San, Su Mo saw no reason to intervene.
