Solo Levelling: Perception

Chapter 33: Chapter 31- New skills?

"Alright system, get on with the rewards."

I was back in the idle room where I was contemplating before I went to the First Floor. Same white walls and a single bed where I sat after filling myself with three liters of water.

Additionally, now there was a vending machine of chocolate bars as well but I want to taste the fruit of my reward first.

[Congratulation!]

[Despite failing the Side quest, the main quest was wonderfully conquered!]

Alright, this system was hell-bent on watching Natasha being kissed since it's the nth time I have heard the system reminding me of the failure.

Nevertheless, I patiently waited for the next system interface which popped up soon after.

[The reward is being generated...]

[Ding!]

[Two variations for the rewards have been generated taking Host's performance into consideration]

...this is going to be tough.

[Option 1: Host could get access to every power of the characters whose skills Host already possesses.]

[Option 2: A random skill from the DC universe.]

I stared at the screen for a minute before I cleared my doubts.

"If I am not mistaken then I would get every skill and ability of Kurogane Ikki, Tatsuya Shiba, and Gojo Satoru if I go for option 1, right?"

[Correct, host.]

Damn...to think I would get my hands on Tatsuya's skill?

If I remember perfectly then he can disintegrate everything from existence using the skill of Decomposition. He can pry through any security or defense with the help of Elemental sight and many more.

Along with Gojo's infinity, I would be able to teleport as well, along with the manipulation of Space. There were some restrictions regarding Ikki's skill as well, so if I go with the first option then I would be able to wield his sword style to the fullest.

And now it comes to the second option.

"Isn't there any minimum criteria like the random skill wouldn't go down from the level of a certain character or something?"

There are many variations of superheroes in the DC universe and many strong ones at that. Like Superman, Darkseid, Green Lantern, Flash, and many more. But there were some characters as well whose abilities would be of no use to me, like Robin and Batman's.

I hoped that the system sets a bar so I can even get a base to compare the choices, but...

[No, host. There is no lower limit.]

It was easy to decide. I would rather go with the powers I am aware of rather than chase something entirely anonymous.

Though I might be missing something massive, I wouldn't regret anything here since the compensation was far too great to remorse.

"Option 1."

[Ding!]

[Host has now acquired these skills:

1. Infinity

2. Teleportation

3. Telekinesis

4. Decomposition

->>Mist dispersion

->> Material Burst

->> Beta Trident

->> Astral Dispersion

5. Double Himaku

17. Surge

18. Sukujihou

19. Elemental Sight

20. Three Variations of Sword Style]

Fuck...there were this many?! And most of it is from Tatsuya's arsenal.

I don't have any idea what more than half of my newfound skills could do but I am excited to learn their potential and what heights could I reach after obtaining full knowledge of my powers.

'Isn't it too OP just for the first round? What is there more to come for other floors?'

I indeed was delighted with the rewards but a sudden thought made me perplexed.

"If the goddess had to grant me these many skills in the first place then why didn't she grant it during my rebirth?"

[Ding!]

[The host wasn't ready to bear so much pressure this soon that's why the Host was given some time to get accustomed to his newfound powers and physicality before pouring down the new consignment.]

Might be true but there was something more to this. I could sense it. Maybe I was too cautious but I have a feeling that the Goddess would ask me something massive once I sort out the situation with my homeworld.

But more than that, for now, I am concerned about something else.

"...system, do tell me how much time I can get to learn these many skills?"

[Ding!]

[Host would need to remain only for a year in the cross dimension where time flows very slower than Host's original world. And this time, the skills the host now possesses would be taught by those who originally wielded these powers.]

As I finished reading the system panel, a sudden blinding light emerged in front of me. I cautiously got up, only to get surprised upon witnessing the three new arrivals in the room.

"Oh, boy~You copied my style? Looks nice, though."

"Evening, I would be under your care for the time being."

"Good evening, Stranger-san. I hope we can get along."

...three OG characters, badass in their own rights, were my new teachers.

As I thought, I went for the right option after all.

Soon the gates toward the exit, or to say the training ground parted, and like that, the second installment of my training, began.

"You tried his phone?"

"Hmm...but it says the user is out of reach."

Inside a cafeteria sat a pair of young high school girls as they chatted quietly to maintain the serene atmosphere of the place.

The one who answered was Sung Jinah who was sipping on her bubble tea while responding to every question her friend asked, in a dazed manner.

Her friend—Han Song-Yi was surprised to hear that not only Haru was out of the station out of the blue but now he's not even responding to Jinah's calls.

Surely it raised many alarms in the raven-haired teenager's mind before she shared it with Jinah.

"Hey, Jinah...aren't you too uncaring about Haru like he doesn't really matter to you?"

Jinah frowned at that before she rebuked, "Am I supposed to pry into his matters even though we have been in contact for what, fourteen days?"

"That much time is enough to know about someone and especially then when the other party is handsome and interested in you."

Song-Yi rebuked, not ready to take any excuse from Jinah since the latter seemed too laid back when it comes to Haru, and that was a red flag.

"Haru is i-interested in me?" Jinah raised her brows as she felt her ears heating up at the thought.

"Of course, he does, duh. The closest to him is you amongst other classmates. He mostly talks about you whenever you are not with us. Haru sends you home and even took you on a date. Isn't this enough evidence to tell that he has a crush on you, Jinah? Or is it that you need to be told on the face?"

Hearing her words, Jinah tried imagining Haru saying something like, "I like you, Jinah."

She couldn't help but let a profound blush dye her whole face. It took a lot from her to wash away the thoughts since considering Haru's methods to flirt, he might say it, and after making a mess out of Jinah's heart, he might start laughing as well.

'Though he won't joke about something like this... ' Jinah knew that Haru has a tendency to play around, but he never crosses those lines that could hurt her.

"What are you thinking about, girl? If you remain this passive then Haru might get stolen away by some hot chick."

Maybe Jinah had a lot of time right now since whatever was coming out Song-Yi's mouth, Jinah was starting to fantasize about those things.

However, imagining Haru with someone else made Jinah's face darkened. Her face was shadowed under her knitted brows. There was a sensation she hadn't felt until now that emerged in her chest.

*It uncomfortable...*

Jinah didn't like the thought of it, for some reason. And soon she has to confront this feeling she had for Haru...

If you don't know those skills listed, don't worry, I would try to describe them as much as I could.
