Chapter 3: Chapter 3- Training and Appearance!
For the next ten years, I would be combining all the skill requirements and utilizing the period to get a good hold of my powers and totally master them so I don't struggle with myself in the new world.
At first, I was a little contemplating whether I chose the right skill or not since there were many other heroes and anime which were springing here and there in my mind when I was taken to the training ground.
But soon I discarded those thoughts since I was not the person who regrets something I have already done. It was better I mourn rather than think about what if. Whatever happens, I have somehow confidence that I would get over it.
Maybe it was because I was under the goddess' direct care or something but this feeling was new and not something I unwelcomed. This sensation, that everything which would happen from here on would be great was something that helped me a lot.
And thus my training began.
I was provided with separate teachers for separate skills and many sparring partners along with equipment to train my aptitudes. The dome where I was transferred, has everything I required.
I was learning about six eyes and adapting to the changes it brought with it slowly and steadily. Within the dome, six eyes were wearable. I mean, I could call the Six eyes whenever I want and disperse them and gain normal eyesight on just a command.
It was a mysterious place under a god's domain so of course, this was not something that should not have been unexpected.
I was pretty much wasted during the initial six months since I only cried in agony and wished for death more than anything else whenever my body got tampered with because of the new skills. I was trying to adapt and under the strict supervision of my sensei, I had no other option than to endure and move forward.
I was trained to run tens of kilometers to build my stamina and lift a hundred kilograms right off the bat to construed t my strength. I was left in between blizzards to return to the dorm and sometimes scorching heat would chase me whenever I was sent out to some specific location.
My body was changing for sure and it was not a natural change that any human could experience. I was slowly adapting to a newfound energy or sort which was supporting my survival and providing me with the necessary attributes to complete my tasks.
They told me to name the energy so I just went the norm and began calling it mana. I couldn't bother thinking of something fancy since at the end of the day, I was going to a world where they regarded magical energy as mana so I would be able to localize as well.
But the thing I possessed was not mana.
The thing is, I had three different skills which required a different kind of energy. Six eyes need Curse energy and the other two required advanced magical essence.
So the goddess provided me with a mutual solution and gave me the magical energy which worked for all my skills faultlessly.
Six eyes were extremely difficult to get used to because of its heightened perception and also the use of offensive magic. In the anime, Gojo Satoru had his limitless and his clan genes to support it and also the training he must have gone through at early age. And here I was going through a crash course.
Along with Six eyes, I was given the perfect sword arts training as well. I was told that the other two skills would be taught separately but my martial art and sword techniques would continue until the end of my journey in this place.
It was hellish, to be honest, and something I could have never expected. I lost count of how many times I wanted to go back to my previous life or just get lost in an endless void.
It was too much and I was falling apart many times but every time I found myself in denial, a warming embrace held me until I calm down. I never saw anyone around me at those times but believing that it might be the goddess, I somehow calmed down.
It was much needed to help me move forward and lose hope.
At the end of five years, I had already mastered seven secret sword arts and had grasped the knowledge of six eyes to the point where I could utilize it to the fullest.
I no longer hurt myself using it and could live without getting rid of it even inside the dome. With time, I found it a part of myself and got used to it like I was in my original eyes.
Then came the session with Regrowth where I had to learn some complex things about Edios and stuff. To read the sequence of attacks and restoration of damages.
Copying information and restoring it to the past self was basically what I had to learn through a medium. I chose a simple twig to channel magical energy and began learning about Edios.
The living information everything has and can be altered with the skill I possess. I just need to know the basic information by reading the catalog and restoring it by copying the data in mind. It was difficult to understand but when I began getting hold of Edios, it got somehow become manageable.
Though it took to be a year to just understand what Edios was and how it changes the physical phenomenon.
All said and done, at the end of the tenth year, I was now prepared with each of my skills along with external martial arts and weapon training. I was like now an army or maybe more who could probably annihilate every major force back on earth.
It was no exaggeration since I could feel the energy surging through my nerves, giving me a different perception than what I had in the past.
And now, off I go to the new journey...
****
[You look different my child. You have learned a lot in so little time that even your teachers were praising you to me.]
Hearing the words, the white man(MC) who was the only one present along with the group of lights who previously spoke, the man stayed silent and just let himself smile in satisfaction.
Being complimented by a literal goddess was not something one could experience every day.
[Now before you go, what about your appearance, child?]
The other party didn't think much about it and answered nonchalantly.
"Haruka Nanase from Free."
The white mannequin-type body didn't seem to be much caring about his appearance but the goddess who was reading the young one's mind was giggling inside.
[Okay then, since there is nothing you need of us now, off you go, my child.]
White light blinded the space as the man began illuminating and amplifying with each second before it engulfed the whole place and when it subdued, there was no one but the goddess remaining in the space.
Even no one would have been able to discern, there was a slight sorrowful emotion contouring her face as her fading words resonated for no one to hear.
[I hope you finally find your happiness, my child...]
