Solo Levelling: Perception

Chapter 17: Chapter 16-...satisfied?

"H-H-Hyung-nim...what was his rank again?"

Despite not being able to voice it out Song-Yi had the same thought as she nodded along with Jinho to ask the same thing to Jin-Woo who was standing beside them with an amused smile spread on his lips.

The reason why Jinho and Song-Yi were so stunned and unable to keep their eyes away from the battle...no massacre, happening in front for some minutes.

Haru was not only killing each of the kobolds with the same precision he did to the first one who was about to attack Song-Yi but the time he was taking on each one of them could be counted as mere a blink or two.

Once he was here then he appeared at some other place, slashing his blade and bringing the end of a pitiful kobold before even it could realize what brought its death. It was flashy yet elegant at the same time that no one was able to snatch their gaze away for even a second there.

Haru was so flawless and precise with his hunt that no leftovers were able to cross a certain point before the scythe bestowed on them in all its beauty. There was no room for mercy but just the dance of the grim reaper who left nothing but blood and gore behind.

It took mere eight minutes and over a hundred kobolds were dead, erasing the whole army which primarily Jin-Woo should have taken care of with his shadow soldiers. And here a single boy, in his teenage years no less who should not have much experience in the field considering the fact he was not evaluated, was able to turn the dungeon into a crowded graveyard.

"I-Its already over?"

Song-Yi stuttered as she saw Haru walking back to them while wiping the blood off his blade without any fatigue appearing on his face. No sweat, no struggling gasps...just the regular Haru. Like he was taking a walk in a park and returned just after half a mile. He was unbelievably calm for someone who just pulled off such frightening carnage!

"Well, it's not over yet."

Jin-Woo muttered as he just like others sensed something massive and horrifying advancing toward them with heavy steps. Even before appearing, the condensed blood lust was heavily permeating the air, making it uncomfortable for Song-Yi to breathe properly.

Even Jinho gulped with a grave expression as he saw the ten feet tall massive greater kobold appearing from the shadows, with its red ominous eyes seeking revenge and blood for the losses it has faced.

***THUMP**THUMP**

**GRRRRRR**

Halting in a clear view of the humans, the greater kobold looked around the cave, and upon seeing its lost comrades, the creature growled with its blood lust reaching its peak.

The massive canines of the creature along with its muscle-packed body and huge build made Jinho pull out his weapon from the bag as he stood in front of Song-Yi for any unforeseen scenario.

Jin-Woo was as calm as ever. He just wanted to see how Haru reacts to the greater kobold and what moves he pulls out now since this bigger one definitely not going to be one hit kill. Those bulging muscles provided that much assurance that Haru was going to have some trouble in this one.

'I think he might need some assistance... '

Jin-Woo summoned his dagger just in case but on the other side Haru had a frown on his face. Completely unaware of the thoughts all three were having.

The reason for his annoyance stems from the fact that his blade had a minor scratch at its base which made Haru irritated about how he missed that shot and smashed his blade on the boulder.

Hearing the even more annoying growl from his back, Haru just raised his hand backward with his index finger pointed at whatever creature stood there before he chanted the Curse Technique Reversal: Red.

***SHII*BOOOOM**

The Kobold boss didn't even get the chance to try and block the incoming orb before life faded away from his consciousness as it sensed a huge gap now opened right at the center of its body.

The greater kobold was not even able to tilt its head to see the damage before its body collapsed and what was left was just a corpse.

The whole thing happened in so little time and with such destructive strength that even Jin-Woo had his eyes widened in shock since he could never have thought that the boy who showed every characteristic of being an assassin had such an ace up his sleeve.

And what was the magic anyway? He has never come across such a skill that could kill its enemy without a single struggle possible from the other party. It was never a battle to which Jin-Woo was looking forward. Haru just toyed with the life of the dungeon boss.

"Let's get going Sunbae."

*****

And the raids continued for the rest of the morning from place to place since the pace at which the raids were concluding, it was no wonder Haru made such a bold commitment to getting done before evening.

Most of the work was done by Haru since Jin-Woo wanted to see the limitation the boy had or when he would need the assistance he was ready to provide at any single instance when Haru would take a misstep.

Song-Yi didn't continue to enter the dungeon after the first one since she had seen enough and no longer had any worries about Haru. If anything, she wanted to recover from the embarrassment of what she said during the start of the first dungeon.

Her protecting him? She couldn't have been dumber than this.

"And with that..."

***DHAKKK**

As the last stone monster dropped to the ground with light fading away from its eyes, Haru jerked his blade before halting in front of Jin-Woo before concluding his words.

"...we are done, right?"

Jin-Woo raised his brows while glancing around as he ordered his soldiers to extract the mana stones just like he did all those previous dungeons.

Jinho, being lost in his place in the raid team, picked the smaller stones from the ground while sulking. Just like him, other soldiers were also engaged in digging out the sparkling cores and gathering them at a place.

"Where should I put all the mana crystals?"

Since it was Haru who dealt with all the dungeons, it was given that all the revenues belongs to him. For now, Jin-Woo had all of it stored in his inventory since Haru had no way to stock those many crystals.

Haru contemplated for a bit before asking Jin-Woo for a favor.

"Can you exchange this for me, sunbae? Since I am not registered it would be problematic for me to...y'know."

Jin-Woo nodded and affirmed that once he gets funds in exchange for crystal he would transfer the money to Haru's account. Haru forwarded his account details after they walked out of the dungeon.

For Haru to trust on Jin-Woo stated that either the boy was well off or he just easily trusts anyone. Jin-Woo had decided to have some research on the boy so he would know, in which category he falls.

'I just hope I don't find anything which could make me want you to separate from Jinah...'
