Solo Levelling: Perception

Chapter 144: Chapter 138- Back up

Around ten Haru and Jinah returned to the former's house.

Jinah...has cooled down and her movement wasn't as unnatural as it was previously.

Seriously, she never knew that tempting Haru could be so wild. And not to talk about his unyielding stamina. She nearly fainted thrice while mid-action.

"Is it still uncomfortable?" As they walked towards the staircase, Haru asked in a low tone.

Guilt was evident in his voice but Jinah didn't comfort him just yet.

"You were greedy, Haru....and I, need to go to the gym."

Haru circled his arm around her waist to support the girl before he uttered in a pitiful voice, "But I couldn't stop myself. It had been so long..."

Hearing his innocent tone and looking at those droopy eyes, her frustration receded as she exhaled a big sigh.

Leaning into him, she whispered in a coquettish tone, "But I like it when you are greedy."

Jinah knew her statement would backfire in the future, but she couldn't stand looking at his dispirited self.

Haru smiled at her before he whispered back, "Then I won't hold back next time."

Jinah's face turned blank.

'You were holding back just now?!' She couldn't help but ask him in her mind. Just how far can he go when they are in bed?

'I need to get in shape...'

"We are back~" As they walked inside the house, Haru called out.

The person who ran to greet them was a certain aquamarine-eyed young girl.

She looked at Haru with wide eyes, before schooling her expression and saying indifferently, "So you are back."

Jinah giggled seeing how far Riko could go to conceal her real feelings—making the said girl embarrassed being laughed at.

Haru sighed before he walked forward and despite Riko's reluctance, he ruffled her hair,

"How have you been Plasma Vessel?"

"I told you to stop calling me that!" Riko growled and tried biting his hand, only for Haru to retract it in the nick of time.

"It's not good to bite people, Riko." Riko was startled to hear Jinah speaking Japanese. She now realized that earlier Jinah understood what Riko said as well.

"You...when did you learn?"

"Jinah has learned a lot of things recently~" Seeing that grin on his face, Jinah's face turned slightly red as she pinched his waist.

Riko made a face that showed her disgust as she muttered under her breath, "Che, disgusting people."

Soon the trio walked inside the house where the five adults were sitting around the living room.

Seeing Haru, Kuroi got up from the seat with a smile spreading her lips and moisture building in her eyes, "Haru-sama....I am glad to see you back in health."

"Thanks for keeping my mum's company when I was away." Haru extended his gratitude which urged Kuroi to shake her head,

"Please don't mention it."

Kuroi has been a good friend of his mother and comforted her a lot while Haru was bedridden. She and Riko traveled all the way to Tokyo so the house doesn't remain all silent on weekends. They tried their best to not let Reiji and Yumiko lose their hope.

"Please sit down. I will be back in a minute." Kuroi nodded at that before Haru led Jinah to his room.

It seemed they were planning to have a long conversation since from the kitchen Haru could smell the fragrance of rich coffee.

Riko didn't follow Haru even though he never stopped her. Well, it was better this way.

Once inside, Haru helped Jinah to lay down on the bed as Jinah stifled another yawn.

Laying her down, he apologized to Jinah again.

"Don't worry about it. More than because of 'that' I think the tons of emotions I have felt in a single day have tired me out. I will be refreshed after some hours of sleep."

"Hmm...sleep for now. If you need something...well, I would know if you do."

Haru was about to get up and turn off the light when Jinah asked in a barely audible tone, "....you won't disappear...once I wake up ..right?" Maybe she was already half asleep that's why her words were coming out with several pauses.

Haru took a deep breath hearing her words, before he kissed her forehead and whispered, "I will never leave you, ever again."

"Is everything alright?" As Haru walked out of the room, his mother asked; turning every eye in his direction.

"Ah yeah. She just exhausted herself while showing the new spells she has developed." Haru made some excuses for obvious reasons.

....well, he would pretend he never noticed Riko's smirk directed at him.

"Do you want something to drink?" Yumiko asked, ready to get up and bring some coffee for her son, and so was Kuroi.

However, he shook his head and denied the offer.

"So what are you guys talking about?" Taking a seat beside his mother, Haru asked casually before leaning his head on her shoulder.

Yumiko gently caressed his hair and told him, "About Jin-Woo-san and Hunter Cha's relationship."

Haru raised his brows, "Didn't he make it clear that he is dating Hunter Cha?"

Park Kyung-Hye smiled at that before correcting him, "It's about their marriage, Haru. Since they have been in a relationship for some months now and Jin-Woo is at the age, we were just wondering if they are prepared to marry."

Haru was slightly surprised since he didn't think the Sung family would become so close to his family to discuss matters like this. But well, this was all good.

Without much thought, Haru provided them with a piece of information of which they were completely unaware, "Sunbae wouldn't agree...well not now."

Park Kyung-Hye blinked in confusion and her husband asked what she wanted to do, "Why is that? Is he not prepared?"

Everyone in the family knows that Jin-Woo and Haru are very close. And even if Haru has woken up today, he must have gained the knowledge of Jin-Woo's relationship with Hae-In more than what the older one has.

Haru didn't give them a proper answer, "There is something that Sunbae needs to sort out first. Before that, he won't agree to get married."

Kyung-Hye turned a little nervous as she asked, "That...does he have to get involved with something dangerous?"

Sung Il-Hwan was far greatly nervous from the inside but he didn't let it show on his face. He was aware of the war and the Monarchs. And also, what 'matter' Jin-Woo has to take care of.

Under everyone's gaze, Haru smirked before assuring them,

"Don't worry. After all, he has the strongest person as his backup."
