Solo Leveling: Infinite Talent

Chapter 49: Chapter 49

Mai Lee stood at the edge of the ruined cityscape, his sharp eyes scanning the aftermath of his latest battle. The winds carried the scent of ash and blood, a familiar reminder of the path he had chosen. He exhaled, his body still buzzing from the rush of combat. The last dungeon raid had pushed him to new limits, but the rewards had been more than worth it.

His status window flickered to life, revealing the latest changes:

[Partial Status Update]

Strength: +20

Intelligence: +15

New Skill Acquired: "Spectral Rend"

Talent Fusion Successful: "Astral Dominance" (Merged from Void Command and Arcane Authority)

Mai Lee's lips curled into a smirk. "Astral Dominance, huh? Looks like my control over spatial magic just reached a whole new level."

He clenched his fist, feeling the new power coursing through him. The fusion of Void Command and Arcane Authority granted him the ability to exert overwhelming pressure on both the physical and magical planes. With a mere thought, he could now distort space itself, bending the battlefield to his advantage.

A rustling sound from behind made him turn. The group of hunters who had witnessed his battle against the dungeon boss approached with cautious steps. Among them was Han Joon-Seok, leader of the Silver Fang Guild, his face a mixture of awe and suspicion.

"You're not just some ordinary hunter," Joon-Seok said, crossing his arms. "That display back there… it's not something a regular high-rank hunter could pull off. Who are you really?"

Mai Lee tilted his head, pretending to consider his answer. "Just someone trying to survive in this world."

Joon-Seok narrowed his eyes but didn't press further. "Regardless of what you are, I know strength when I see it. You just wiped out a dungeon boss that should've required an entire raid team. That kind of power isn't normal."

The other hunters murmured among themselves, exchanging glances filled with admiration and unease. A female hunter stepped forward hesitantly. "If you ever need a place, the Silver Fang Guild would welcome someone like you."

Mai Lee chuckled, shaking his head. "Tempting, but I'm not really the guild type."

Joon-Seok sighed. "Figured as much. Still, if you ever change your mind, the offer stands."

He nodded before turning away, leaving the group behind. He had no intention of tying himself down when there was still so much to uncover. With his newfound power, his path was clear—he would push his talents even further, fusing abilities until he reached the pinnacle of strength.

His next target was already set: a hidden dungeon rumored to contain creatures of myth. If the stories were true, then rare and powerful talents awaited him within its depths. The thought alone was enough to quicken his pace.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, Mai Lee disappeared into the night, ready to claim whatever awaited him in the shadows of the unknown.
