Skuld Weasley - [A Harry Potter Fanfic]

Chapter 6: Chapter 6

If January flew by, February passed in a flash. And that meant the Weasley twins' birthday.

Early in the morning, Skuld Weasley saw Percy's owl, Hermes, delivering a package for his brother, while many people gathered to congratulate him.

Skuld Weasley?

She felt as if she might die from disgust, contemplating whether to lock herself in her trunk and throw herself into the Black Lake. It was less painful than realizing that not even her parents remembered her birthday. Christmas was fairly manageable; there were so many of them in the Weasley family. But if they remembered Ron, she was also part of the redhead pack.

Two at the same time.

Twins.

"Congratulations, Skuld," Ron began, watching as Hermione handed him a chocolate frog.

What no one imagined was that a friendship was beginning to blossom from that moment.

Because, at that very instant, Hermione knew that Skuld Nike Weasley was just a girl followed by bad luck and pain. And Skuld recognized that Hermione Jean Granger was the best person ever, despite her somewhat repellent appearance.

. . . . .

Harry had been hesitating for half an hour. But as soon as he saw Hermione saying goodbye to Skuld, he jumped up, startled by Neville, and with clumsy steps approached the girl with the red hair.

"Eh... Happy birthday, Skuld," he stammered, adjusting his glasses while ignoring the heat rising in his cheeks. He extended a piece of paper to her.

Skuld took it gently, a sincere smile blooming on her face as she looked at him with admiration. It was a homemade green bookmark on which, written in Potter's somewhat shaky handwriting due to nerves, were the words "Smile."

"Thank you very much, Harry," she said, and out of emotion, she kissed his cheek.

Now even Ron was shocked to see how close his sister was to his best friend, someone he wanted to keep at least twenty kilometers away.

Minerva McGonagall reluctantly passed three galleons under the table to Pomona Sprout.

If Skuld could express herself in a single word to the entire world, it would be "happy."

For the first time in years, she felt whole.

Not only had her parents remembered her birthday and sent her congratulations and a gift like their twins, but now she could trust that she could count on Hermione and Harry.

But thoughts again?

No, they would never do that.
