Single Mum

The taxi stopped at ji ah's school, it was going to be another day of bullying for her. 

"Look who is here,said Il seong who was a bully. 

Il Seong was a bully and was one of the students that gave her a tough time at school, she always had girls clustering around her because her parents were very rich most girls clustering around her to gain favour, while others for protection. 

Ji ah entered her class and dropped her bag and brought out her notebooks to study, Il seong entered the class too, her presence was always noticeable. 

"I heard that Ji ah's mum was at a club going all crazy and welcoming men in, said Il seong. 

"Her mum is a prostitute that is how she got pregnant and gave birth to ji ah, added Sun hee. 

Il Seong stands up from her seat and goes to ji ah's seat she closes the book ji ah was reading. 

"Il Seong! 

"Uhh what are you going to do?,I'm so scared ji ah going to beat me, dimwit.Il Seong holds ji ah by the hair. 

"Let go of my hair! 

"You're becoming rude everyday but I know how to deal with your type, she let's go of ji ah's hair,ji ah lay her head on the desk and began to sob softly.

At Ahn jong's workplace, she was usually stressed up ,everyone was preparing for Chung Ho's arrival. 

Chung Ho was also the only son of his parents. The chairman had two children. Chung Ho had been abroad and has not come to Korea ever since he went abroad to study, even when his father built the hotel he did not come but finally he was coming back to Korea to settle down and manage his father's businesses.

The worker's at the hotel were given duties to make sure the hotel would be very comfortable, so work had been stressful and hectic. 

"I heard he is very handsome and cute,gossiped I'm woon. 

"How do you know?,have you seen his pictures?,asked Ahn Jong. 

"No,but the way the chairman's wife always compare her son to us means he is going to be very handsome, cute, quiet and businesslike,reasoned Im woon.

"Don't allow words to deceive you my dear friend, seeing is believing, advised Ahn Jong.

"Words had made me believe already, said I'm woon. 

"Would you lazy things get back to work!,shouted Mrs Chung moon when she saw them talking. 

"We are sorry Ma,apologised Im woon and Ahn Jong immediately.

"All you workers know is to gossip and chit-chat around, my son would not do such,I wonder if we pay you to come and talk around when they are works to do around. 

"We are sorry Ma,pleaded again by Im woon and Ahn Jong. 

"Ahn Jong come with me I have things to discuss with you.

Ahn Jong got home again tired as usual, ji ah was not back from school yet,most times she goes to the library after school before coming home.She prepared dinner and went to her room to rest.

When ji ah was done with getting what she needs from the library, she went to the comic store. She was a great fan of comic books and loved it.She got there and met the owner of the store.

"Ma,is there any new release of comic book yet?,asked ji ah.

"Yes,my dear go help yourself in, replied the owner.

The comic store was were she reads and forgets about her pains,the ones that arise from school.She went to the shelf that had her favourite comics but noticed the one she had started reading was missing, she went to the owner. 

"Ma'am, I'm looking for the copy I normally read.

"Oh dear,I'm so sorry?,I thought you were done reading it, it had been borrowed already by someone. 

"When would the person return it?

"Tomorrow. 

"Huh!

"You can read another copy. 

"Don't worry,thank you ma,she leaves the store,she had a terrible day at school and at the comic store, she board a bus and got home, she rang the bell and Ahn Jong came to owner 5he door after exchanging pleasantries, ji ah goes to take her bath and comes down for dinner,after dinner, she decided to rest a little before studying.

"How was school today?

"It was fine mum,I know work was fine too.

"Totally. 

"Mum I'm going to my room to study. 

"Goodnight, my dead,make sure you sleep early so that you can wake up early tomorrow morning. 

"Goodnight mum, ji ah goes to the room and closes her door. Both mother and daughter lied to each other pretending to be fine when they had tough times at wherever they were. 

The next morning, Ahn Jong prepared breakfast after preparing and packing her lunch box, she boards a cab to take her to work and her daughter to school.Ji ah arrived at school, it was P.E, so she dropped her bag and went to change. 

After P.E,Il seong was looking for her Korean text.Everybody's bag was ransacked when it reached ji ah's turn,Sun hee drags her bag and goes through it,then she sees a Korean text and looked at the name ,there she saw 'Il Seong' written on it.

"I have found the thief ,shouted Sun hee. 

"It's ji ah, added Bin ta.

"What?!,Il seong rushed to ji ah's seat and gave her a slap.

"How dare you!,shouted Il seong angrily. 

 "It wasn't me,said ji ah crying. 

"Who would believe a daughter of a prostitute, Sun hee almost spat those words on her face.

"You are in big trouble ji ah!,shouted Il Seong angrily, again. 

"Just forgive her Il seong, pleaded Bin ta.

"You know the money her mother earns can even bail her out of your trouble,added Sun hee. Il Seong looed at ji ah angrily and left with her korean text. Il Seong did not report because of pleas from her friends but it made matter worst, at the canteen she was gossiped about. 

"I heard ji ah stole,Il seong korean text, gossiped a student.

"Well what can you expect from someone who's mother is a prostitute, replied another student. 

Ji ah carried her food tray and left the table,she went to an empty table and ate silently after eating she left the canteen and went to class.Il seong was still angry with her and did not bother ji ah like she does.
