Shocking! The Mysterious Sky Veil Brings Chaos! | Naruto

Chapter 38: The Power of the Nine-Tails, the One-Tail Chakra Cloak

"Fire Style: Dragon Flame Jutsu!"

Suddenly, a massive stream of fire burst from the rocky wall, igniting Naruto's clones like a fuse.

The intense flames melted the rock, creating cracks and molten edges. The heat was overwhelming, impossible to imagine.

Naruto, the closest to Sasuke, froze in place, staring at him in disbelief.

"Sasuke..."

His wide eyes were full of shock, unable to comprehend what he was seeing.

Sasuke, panting heavily, looked equally shaken, fear flickering in his gaze.

"It's too late, Naruto."

"It's already too late!"

Sasuke grabbed Naruto by the collar, lifting him effortlessly. With a swift movement, he hurled Naruto into the air. Before Naruto could recover, Sasuke darted forward and tightly wrapped his body in a binding hold.

Using his foot, Sasuke forced Naruto's head downward toward the hard rock below.

BAM!

The impact caused cracks to spread across the stone. Everyone watching, both in the video and outside of it, stared in stunned silence, fear filling their eyes.

The shinobi world could not believe what they were seeing. Sasuke was truly trying to sever his bonds. If this continued, even if Naruto somehow survived, he would surely be left with permanent injuries.

"Naruto-kun..."

Hinata sobbed uncontrollably, tears streaming down her face. Her heartbreaking cries tugged at the hearts of everyone around her.

The thought of Sasuke doing this to his own comrade was unbearable.

Could this truly be the same Sasuke they once knew?

The killing intent he radiated...

To sever their bond, Sasuke had gone to such extreme lengths.

At this moment, Sasuke was cutting himself off from Konoha, from Naruto, from Team 7—completely erasing his past connections.

"Sasuke..." Naruto's voice cracked, filled with sadness and confusion.

The Sasuke I knew... is he really going to kill me?

"No... no, it's impossible! This can't be Sasuke! He wouldn't do this!"

Tears streamed down Sakura's face as she stared at the screen in disbelief.

This couldn't be the same prodigy they had all admired.

Then, her gaze shifted to Naruto, who was floating helplessly in the water. Her heart clenched with guilt and sorrow.

Is this... my fault?

If I hadn't pleaded with Naruto to bring Sasuke back... would this have happened?

"Damn it... damn it... damn it!" Sakura clawed at her hair, her pale face reflecting the torment she felt.

Gaara watched the scene unfold silently. When he saw Naruto taking such a brutal hit, his calm demeanor faltered.

The sand inside his gourd began to tremble and shift, reacting to his rising emotions.

But as the video played on and Naruto's words resurfaced in his mind, Gaara's expression softened.

"Sasuke is like me... we're the same," he muttered, his killing intent fading.

"Things have escalated this far... Sasuke, is there anything you want to say?" Kakashi asked, his voice heavy with emotion.

Sasuke remained silent.

Kakashi sighed and continued, "I know your heart is full of hatred. But no matter what, the Naruto in that video is truly trying to save you. He wants to help you with all his heart."

At the mention of hatred, Sasuke's thoughts immediately returned to his brother, Itachi. The image of that man reignited the fire of vengeance within him.

"What do you know, Kakashi?" Sasuke finally snapped.

"My parents... my entire clan... they're dead! They're all dead! How could someone like you possibly understand what I'm feeling?!"

"That man, Uchiha Itachi, slaughtered my entire family! My clan! This hatred, this pain—how could you ever understand?!"

Kakashi listened to Sasuke's outburst without reacting. Slowly, he adjusted his forehead protector, covering his Sharingan. His voice was calm when he replied,

"Calm down, Sasuke."

"Calm down?!" Sasuke yelled. "How can I calm down?! If someone killed your family and left you all alone, how would you feel?! What would you do?!"

Kakashi's voice remained steady.

"I already know that feeling. My family and comrades were taken from me a long time ago."

Sasuke froze, his eyes widening in shock.

Kakashi continued, "You should apologize to Naruto. When no one else cared about you, he still wanted to help you, to save you. That's something rare, Sasuke. Something worth cherishing."

But Sasuke's mind was too clouded to hear Kakashi's words.

Naruto's body floated limply in the lake, motionless as if lifeless.

The scene shifted suddenly.

Inside a dark cage, the malevolent Nine-Tails opened its crimson eyes, staring down at Naruto's unconscious form.

With a wicked grin, the fox spoke:

"You're really weak, brat..."

"But you should be thanking me."

"And thank the one who sealed me inside you... the Fourth Hokage."

"That's... the Nine-Tails?"

Everyone stared at the massive figure in shock.

The Konoha 12, along with the villagers, felt their fear spike.

"That's the monster sealed inside me?" Naruto muttered, his voice filled with disbelief.

The Nine-Tails—the very beast that had caused the tragedy so many years ago. The creature responsible for his suffering.

Jiraiya let out a sigh of relief.

Moments earlier, watching Naruto take such a brutal blow, his heart had been pounding with fear. But now, seeing the Nine-Tails stir within Naruto, Jiraiya relaxed slightly.

With the Nine-Tails inside him, Naruto won't die. If Naruto dies, the beast dies too.

"So that's the Nine-Tails? It's far more terrifying than the One-Tail..."

"That's the legendary Nine-Tails—the strongest of the Tailed Beasts?"

"Unbelievable... Naruto carries something so dangerous inside him."

"Now that he has the Nine-Tails' power, Sasuke doesn't stand a chance, right?"

The Nine-Tails' crimson chakra began to seep out, wrapping around Naruto like a liquid coat.

It formed a visible chakra shroud over his body, pulsating with power.

Naruto let out a pained scream, his voice raw and primal.

"Ahhhh!"

Sasuke flinched as Naruto's transformation continued.

Suddenly, Naruto punched Sasuke square in the face.

BAM!

The force of the blow sent Sasuke flying, clutching his nose as he cried out in pain.

Now crouched on the lake's surface, Naruto resembled a beast. A single chakra tail swayed behind him, and two chakra "ears" flickered atop his head.

"What... what is that? Is he a monster? Is that chakra?!"

"That's the Nine-Tails' cloak! The power of a Tailed Beast!"

"This is the true power of the Nine-Tails. It's so evil... so cold..."

"So this is what a natural disaster looks like... the power of the Nine-Tails."

Ōnoki: "A chakra cloak... At this stage, it looks like Naruto can only handle the power of one tail. Any more, and his body won't survive."

Fourth Raikage: "Hmph!"
