At that moment, Leon and Wenwu Xu were sipping Da Hong Pao Tea at an outdoor picnic table set up by the Mandarin's men. As the Ten Rings members who had fought were receiving treatment, Wenwu gave a nod to his guard and departed.

"Mr. Wenwu, it has been challenging to find an opportunity to speak with you, as you can see."

Leon remarked while taking a sip of his tea.

"Mr. Uzumaki, your relentless attempts to contact me have not gone unnoticed."

Wenwu replied, his voice laced with a hint of venom and devoid of any humor.

"I have been preoccupied lately. However, since you have incapacitated most of my men, we might as well use this time."

"JUST GET IT OVER WITH AND FINISH YOUR DEAL WITH HIM, LEON!"

Revy yelled, gulping down her tea.

"I was supposed to have a girls' night out. BUT NO! You had to go and play the tough guy!"

"Fine, Revy, if that's what you desire!"

"Mr. Wenwu, I wish to discuss your return and the resurgence of the Ten Rings. My understanding was that you had retired to spend time with your family."

Leo spoke slowly, tapping his pinkie finger on the table as he set the tea down.

"Don't speak of my family!"

Wenwu retorted sharply spilling some of his tea.

"If you must know, I seek vengeance, and as long as you don't interfere, there will be no issues."

"Vengeance? Who would be so foolish as to provoke you to the point of coming out of retirement?"

Leon feigned ignorance.

"You should know, Mr. Leon, that someone had the audacity to murder my beloved wife, and I will not rest until I've exacted my vengeance,"

Wenwu replied vehemently.

"Please accept my condolences on the loss of your wife, Mr. Wenwu. Though I never had the honor of meeting her, I'm certain she was a remarkable person."

"I would like to offer my help, but alas, resurrecting someone comes at a steep price."

Leon said getting Wenwu's full attention.

"Why are you suddenly talking about bringing my wife back? I just said I wanted revenge. Even if she were brought back, my quest wouldn't end," Wenwu asked, his voice laced with suspicion.

"Well, you keep mentioning revenge, and if someone took something precious from me, let's just say my vengeance wouldn't be satisfied until I had what was taken back in my arms, with them lying defeated and shattered before me,"

Lion replied, steering Wenwu onto a path different from the one he followed in his movie.

"So, what would be the cost to resurrect my beloved?"

Wenwu inquired, his demeanor now more composed.

"I believe the only fitting price would be a merger of our two organizations."

Came Leon's reply.

"Do you think I would simply hand over my organization on the slim chance you could resurrect my wife? You must think me a fool!"

Wenwu exclaimed, pounding the table.

"I assure you, I am not deceiving you about the ability to bring someone back to life. However, it demands the sacrifice of another life."

"For my beloved, I would offer millions of lives if needed."

"I regret to inform you, Mr. Wenwu, but the person to be sacrificed must be specially trained in a secret technique that allows them to give up their life in exchange for another's."

"Now I understand. You have prepared someone specifically for this purpose."

"In a way, yes."

 From there, the conversation went on and on as they started talking business, and Leon did his best to balance his greed with shrewdness. Still, when he finally finished writing down and signing the contract, he had gotten all he wanted from the warlord.

"So, your eldest daughter, 5-year-old Akame Uzumaki, will marry my eldest son, 9-year-old Shang-Chi Xu, in ten years," he said.

"Hahaha, you dumb Fucker!"

Revy exclaimed, laughing.

"Tell me, Leon, what do you think big sis Kushina will say when she discovers you've traded her daughter to some secret organization?"

Leon began to chuckle as he gestured for her to sit down before she got carried away, and then he signaled for one of his Anbu.

"Owl!"

Kneeling beside him, the Anbu with the owl mask responded to his summons.

"Did you call for me, my Lord?"

"Yes, fetch Kushina and my daughter Akame, and also bring my son Rudeus as well."

"Understood, Leon-sama. They will be brought immediately."

With those final words, he vanished.

"You bastard! You won't sell my son!"

Revy stood up furiously, throwing her tea aside and kicking her chair away.

"REVY! This is not the time for outbursts."

Leon's voice was icy, his eyes glowing red with vertical slits, exuding an aura of his demonic beast's might.

"..."

Revy stood motionless, feeling that any movement might seal her fate; she yearned to conceal herself like a chastised child.

Wenwu took a sip of his tea, observing the marital dispute so tense it seemed it could be sliced with a knife.

"I apologize for my wife's behavior. As you may have surmised, she hasn't had an easy life."

Leon explained.

"These past six years represent the first time she's truly found a place where she belongs. I would wager that having children and meeting my other wives are among the kindest experiences she's ever had."

"What do you mean?"

Wenwu inquired.

"She's been shuffled around, never having a true place to call home. From the streets to prison, from gangs to Roanapur, that city tends to devour people's souls. Respect there is akin to the respect wolves show each other, not treading on another's territory because they know the ensuing fight could be their last, victory or not. Anything beyond that is superfluous."

"I find that quite cynical. Yet, knowing Roanapur, I can't argue, as such places will always exist."

Wenwu remarked with a hint of sorrow.

"Don't dwell on it, Mr. Wenwu. She's gradually learning to navigate her world with grace."

Moments later, a Timedoor opened, and Owl stepped through, followed by Kushina carrying two babies, with Akame and Rudeus behind her.

"LEON!"

Kushina's loud and annoyed voice echoed.

"WHAT IS THIS ABOUT AN ENGAGEMENT OF MY DAUGHTER? THIS IS NOT HOW THESE THINGS ARE DONE!"

He turned to see a visibly angry Kushina, her face marked by a tick. Her expression shifted from annoyance to confusion to outright surprise as she took in her surroundings.

She had walked into an official meeting with a man whose presence reminded her of the third Hokage, clad in formal battle robes, staring at him with an equally unreadable expression.

She froze for a brief moment before letting out an apologetic shriek.

"I'm sorry for disturbing your meeting, Sir!"

She quickly bowed.

Wenwu, taken aback, looked from Leon to Kushina and then to Revy, evidently gaining new insight into Leon's choice of partner.

"You're right, My Lady. We were in the midst of something when you arrived."

He addressed a flustered Kushina, who nodded silently.

'What does that say about her first impression?'

Leon wondered.

As Kushina approached the table, she passed one of the infants to a nearly overwhelmed Revy.

"Revy, here, Lily has been fussy, missing you."

Revy, gently cradling her four-month-old daughter, began breastfeeding Lily to distract herself from Leon's apparent anger.

"Leon, would you mind explaining what's happening?"

Kushina asked as she took a seat beside Leon.

"Well, my dear Kushina, our esteemed host is an immortal warlord, on par with a kage in both status and strength, commanding his own force of shinobi."

"Ah, I understand. So this is a political union to consolidate our Organization. I do have a few requests, however."

"Please, feel free to ask, my love."

"May I meet the young man who is to become my son-in-law, and why have you brought Rudeus along?"

"I trust our host will present his offspring, and as for Rudeus, I've included him to arrange his betrothal to our host's daughter."

Wenwu glanced at Leon and Kushina, then let out a sigh.

"I'll have someone bring my children over, is that fine?"
