Chapter 9: Chapter 9: Confirmation of Resurrection, Second Generation

[Confirmed Resurrection - Senju Tobirama]

A surge of chakra, immense and vibrant, descended from the sky like a waterfall crashing into the wooden coffin of the Second Hokage. This energy dwarfed the chakra from Uchiha Mikoto's earlier resurrection, enveloping the area with a bright green glow that illuminated Konoha like daylight. In an instant, the wooden coffin transformed into a massive tree, its branches towering over the village like the Flower World Tree of the First Hokage's Wood Style.

The ground trembled as the chakra spread. Even Uzumaki Naruto, with his incredible stamina, collapsed under its oppressive weight. Others quickly followed.

Emerging from the wooden coffin, Senju Tobirama felt an odd familiarity in the sensation of his chakra. To his surprise, his physical state had reverted to his peak—his late twenties—when both his chakra and body were at their strongest.

He stepped out of the coffin, his movement brisk and purposeful. Landing near the Third Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen, he crossed his arms. His sharp, commanding voice cut through the murmurs.

"Monkey, explain the situation to me."

Hiruzen, overwhelmed by the sight of his younger and more imposing teacher, briefly stammered before summarizing the current events. The resurrection, the Chūnin Exams, and the unknown force behind the phenomenon were quickly detailed.

Tobirama, ever pragmatic, absorbed the information swiftly. His sharp features remained impassive, but his aura of authority caused those around him to stiffen.

Meanwhile, Naruto, still lying on the ground, groaned dramatically. "Got it, gotta go... My head's spinning again..."

Tobirama turned his attention to the boy and studied him for a moment. "As expected of you, Naruto Uzumaki," he said unexpectedly. "You saved everyone and even managed to resurrect me."

"Huh?" The Third Hokage blinked in confusion. Why did Tobirama seem to recognize Naruto? And why the expression of approval?

Naruto, oblivious to the significance, pointed at Tobirama. "Who's this clean-looking old guy with fox eyes?"

Tobirama's temple twitched. "You dare call me a fox?! You're the one who—"

Naruto tilted his head, his wide eyes and whisker-like cheek marks giving him the appearance of a confused fox cub. "Eh?"

The Second Hokage's expression darkened, his irritation bubbling to the surface. "You… Are you mocking me?!"

Naruto scratched his head, genuinely puzzled. "Mocking you? No way! I mean, your skin is so clean you look like a girl, but your temper's worse than Sakura-chan's!"

The crowd collectively winced.

Even the usually composed Tobirama seemed on the verge of losing his patience. The Second Hokage was known for his calm, analytical demeanor, but something about Naruto's words struck a nerve. His clenched fist trembled slightly.

Hiruzen coughed awkwardly, recognizing the parallels between this scene and his late master's infamous arguments with Hashirama.

Naruto, undeterred, jabbed Sasuke with his elbow. "Hey, Teme, why is this guy so grumpy? I thought old people were supposed to be calm!"

Sasuke facepalmed. "You idiot! Do you even listen in class? He's the Second Hokage, Senju Tobirama! The younger brother of the First Hokage!"

Naruto blinked, then turned back to Tobirama. "Huh? No way! He looks way too young to be an old man!"

"Call me Second Hokage-sama!" Tobirama snapped, his voice rising.

"Ahh, okay, okay! Chill, Gramps!" Naruto's casual response made Tobirama's eyebrow twitch dangerously.

Iruka, sensing a disaster brewing, stepped in to restrain Naruto. "Please forgive him, Second Hokage-sama. He means no disrespect."

"Hmph." Tobirama crossed his arms, his stern demeanor returning.

The villagers, meanwhile, were whispering among themselves. Naruto's antics aside, the sheer power radiating from Tobirama left no doubt about his legendary status.

Suddenly, a projection appeared in the sky above the village. Huge trees intertwined with the projection, creating an ethereal yet chaotic screen.

"What's this?" Tobirama muttered.

The image revealed a massive army—ninjas from various villages, daimyo, and even rogue shinobi—marching in unison. The camera panned out, showing an almost endless phalanx of soldiers organized into tight rows and columns.

"The Fourth Ninja War…" someone murmured.

Tobirama frowned, recognizing the implications immediately. His sharp mind raced as he connected the dots. "So, this is the future…"

Naruto, meanwhile, was awestruck. "Whoa! That's so cool! Look at all those ninja! Hey, do you think I'm in there?"

"You are," Sasuke said flatly.

"Really?!" Naruto's face lit up.

"Yes," Sasuke deadpanned. "Probably in the back."

"WHAT?!" Naruto lunged at Sasuke, and the two began bickering again.

Tobirama sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Are these two always like this?"

Hiruzen chuckled nervously. "Yes, Lord Second. They're… spirited."

The projection shifted again, showing a fierce battle. The allied ninja forces clashed with an army of white Zetsu and reanimated shinobi. The chaos of war filled the screen, and the weight of the situation settled over the gathered crowd.

Tobirama's expression hardened. "So, the world is heading toward another great war."

Hiruzen nodded solemnly. "It seems so."

"Then I must prepare," Tobirama declared. "If my resurrection serves a purpose, it is to ensure Konoha's survival and victory in this conflict."

The determination in his voice sent shivers down the spines of those present. Even in death, the Second Hokage's resolve to protect his village remained unshaken.
