Chapter 764: The Revelations
"So you saw something about Joyce as well?"
"Yes, I did." Maple replied with a serious look on her face.
She recounted the time she had seen the premonition about Joyce for the first time. "I had a vision once. It was very vivid. I saw how Lillian, Joyce's grandmother, was killed by her own granddaughter. That was the first time I saw Joyce. She was really powerful ever since she was a child.
And–"
"Wait for a second!" Damien grabbed his head and tight shut his eyes. He took a few deep breaths in and then looked at Maple again. And he asked her in a greatly shocked voice, "What the hell did you just say? Did you just say that Joyce killed her grandmother?"
"Oh!" Maple awkwardly looked back at Damien and said, "I assumed that you already knew."
"No, I did not!" Damien got up from his seat and shouted, "And what are you trying to do? Are you trying to lie to my face and create tension between me and Joyce? Didn't you say that you 'cared' for your descendant? Why the hell would you blatantly accuse her of murder if you care about her?"
Maple sighed in frustration because it didn't look like Damien was going to listen to anything that she said even when she was speaking the truth.
So she crudely spoke, "Look, Damien. I was just trying to say what kind of vision I had of Joyce. And I was trying to give a whole picture to you. If you don't believe what I am saying then you can confirm that with Theodore. I bet he knows the truth."
She then spoke a little softly, "And, seeing how surprised you look, and how I have never heard anyone speak about that incident, Joyce might not remember what she did. So, you better keep that a secret from her."

Maple heaved a sigh and softly whispered, "She was around three-four years old at that time. I don't think she knows what she did."
Maple looked at Damien. He was still standing while looking all confused and distrusting. So she said, "If you want to leave, then you can leave. But if you still want to listen to what I saw, then you are free to sit down."
Damien wanted to teleport anywhere but sit down. He felt as though everything that Maple was saying was a lie.
However, he didn't want to miss out on the information, in case whatever she was saying was the truth.
So, he quietly sat back down on the small stool.
And Maple continued with her story, "And that was the first time I suspected something. I had also seen Cerberus in that vision. And I saw how Joyce's eyes shined the same way as Mackenzie's when she saw Cerberus. But at that time I just brushed that feeling aside thinking that it was only my imagination."
Damien's jaw dropped upon hearing Maple mentioning Mackenzie and even comparing Joyce with her. "So that nightmare was indeed Joyce's past memories?" he asked just for confirmation.
And Maple nodded her head, "Yes."
"Are… are you sure?" Damien's frown lines deepened when he asked for double confirmation. "How do you know Joyce is Mackenzie's reincarnation? Please don't tell me it was because of those nightmares..."
Maple tightly clasped her palms together. She looked somewhat unsettled when she replied, "I had another vision about Joyce."
Damien waited for her to speak. But she just kept on staring blankly like some statue. "And what was that vision? What did you see?" he asked restlessly.
Maple finally spoke, "I saw the same celestial killing her again. Exactly like how he killed Mackenzie. By throwing the ice spear at her. And he was calling her Mackenzie, not Joyce."
Damien felt his heart aching really badly. He closed his eyes and asked in a soft whisper, "Who? Who killed my sister?"
---
"Michael! Are you mad?" Lavera angrily walked behind Michael and scolded him, "Our mother has disappeared. Our father is furious. And you are ready to head down to Earth? Why do you want to brew war with our father? Just leave that poor kid alone!"
However, Michael was hell-bent on doing whatever he pleased. He didn't care about his parents. Neither did he care about the consequences of his actions.
So he simply ignored what Lavera was saying. And then he walked towards one of the many rooms of the heavenly palace while shouting his son's name, "Tobias! Tobias, where are you?"
Tobias instantly teleported in front of his father. And he asked in confusion, "Yes, father. Is there some kind of emergency?"
And Michael replied, "Actually, yes. We are heading for Earth this instant. Let's go."
"Earth at this time?" Tobias gave a questioning glance to Michael.
"That's right!" Michael instantly rested his palm on his son's shoulder.
"You don't get to ruin everything for us as well!" Lavera shouted and ran to stop Michael from doing something stupid.
However, before she could get a hold of Michael, both father and son disappeared from there.
---
Maple replied to Damien's question, "It was Michael."
"Oh, hell no!" Damien immediately jumped up from his seat again. He panicked after hearing Michael's name. And he hastily said to Maple, "He was sneakily watching us when we were dining! We thought he was there for Ariel. But was he there for Joyce?"
"He might have been there for Ariel this time." Maple tried to make a guess based on that one vision she had seen, and based on what she had heard, "He doesn't know about Mackenzie's reincarnation yet."
"I need to go back to Earth." Damien held out his hand in front of Maple. He had been gabbing that pendant tightly in his fist until now. "Take this. I don't want it to hop realms and go and latch itself to Joyce again."
However, Maple gently pushed Damien's fist away. She looked him in the eyes and said, "There's a reason why I sent this plant to Joyce."
"Why? It's doing nothing but torturing Joy," Damien said in a stern voice.
And to that, Maple calmly replied, "But she will be grateful when it will shield her from her killer. Just ask her not to get too scared of that nightmare. If she stops fearing it, the Zobekker will stop showing that same dream to her. She needs to show it to the plant that she is the one in command and not it."
