Shadow Slave FanFic [Missing Piece]

Love is a weird Feeling. Perhaps it's so weird because it's not really just a feeling but rather a state of mind caused by many Emotions coming together to form something that's greater than their sum. Some people even Fear Love. Having been burned by it and left with a Broken Heart.

Many people experienced Love in another Painful way. One sided Love is a Cruel thing. How can something so Vile even exist? But it does for a reason. Sometimes one person needs to Love the other first and be rejected by them to see that they have been misguided. That they didn't really Love the person to begin with. But rather what they made them Feel like.

That's when people realize that Love is not simply two people liking each other and getting together. But rather it's a process that needs time and can never be one sided.

Because if your love is One sided, it isn't real love to begin with. Because there are always Two people loving each other needed for the Recipe of Love. A recipe that isn't complete without one important thing, and that's Memories.

Just what Sunny is missing, for now. Together with his dearest friends and the love of his life he was sitting in his Café. A place he had created not out of necessity, but because he tried to fill a hole in his heart. Someone had been missing all that time.

But now that someone is by his side again. Laughing at every single word he says while looking at him like he's the sun on her Horizon, like he's the Star in her Night or simply the Man by her Side.

Her heart that had been aching for years now finally had been reunited with its Missing Piece. Feeling whole again and full of love, Nephis couldn't help but stare at Sunny. For her he was the Pinnacle of Greatness what a Human could ever achieve. Hell, the God's could take an example from Sunny if they wished to be more Perfect next time. But those dead Bastards had their Chance. Now it was Nephis time to enjoy the presence of this Impossible Man by her Side.

[Neph?]

'Yes Cassie?'

[I just wanna inform you that you have been drooling for about 5 Minutes now. I would either advise you to stop looking at Sunny like he's your Midnight Snack or at least wipe the Saliva from your Chin.]

Quickly Her hands shot upward to wipe awake the Saliva from her Mouth and Chin. She looked like her head would explode from embarrassment any second now. Luckily for her Noone except Cassie had noticed her obsession for Sunny taking over.

'Thanks, I was just Thinking of something tasty, not Sunny of course…that would be weird…would it?'

[No, I can understand you very well. He looks very handsome. I'm actually surprised that you have been holding it together upstairs. If I was you I would have…]

Cassie was interrupted by a deadly stare from Nephis. If there was one thing she would not tolerate then It's her Blind friend talking about Sunny like he belonged to her.

'Let me be as Clear as Glass right now. Sunny is mine and only mine. Now that [Shadow Bond] Is gone I can say those words without feeling guilty. But I always believed in them.'

Cassie chuckled and quickly looked away to avoid Nephis stare. She could not see it of course but the Feeling alone was suffocating.

[I understand, now tell me, why haven't you two…you know. I mean I didn't expect an outright fuck fest with all of us downstairs But not even a Kiss? Common, where is your Passion?]

'Trust me, if it was for me we wouldn't have left that Room for days doing what we wanted to do For years now. Sunny Is the one who stopped me actually.'

[REALLY? WHY?]

'He explained it rather well. So I will ask you a question in return so you can better understand. How would you react if there is someone you deeply love but don't know why?'

[Ohhh, I understand. What he said was that you are basically a stranger to him and he needs time to adjust to you. His feelings for you and his Memories don't match at all and that's why he's so conflicted, right?]

'I love you for being this smart. Have I ever told you that?'

[A million times, I think. So you are going to live here from now on so his Memories Can catch up with his feelings faster?]

'You hit the Nail right on the head. I hope he is ready for me sooner rather than later because if I'm being honest, just being near him makes me wet.'

"NEPHIS?!"

Cassie screamed scandalized by Nephis impure words. Suddenly everyone was looking at the Blind seer. No wonder, the usually quiet Girl has just Screamed in horror. Like she had seen Ghost or something. No, a Ghost wouldn't Be scary for her. She had killed some of those after all. More like a Cursed Terror, that's Stuff Of Nightmares even for a Saint.

"What is up with you two? Has Nephis told you something scandalous or why are you screaming like that?"

A well justified question from Jet. Who without getting an answer from the Blind Oracle knew with one look at Nephis exactly what the Two have been up to.

"So it was something scandalous huh? I would bet my ass on it that it had something to do with Sunny."

She said with a smug look on her face While crossing her arms in front of her Chest. To no one's surprise Cassie denied ever hearing anything indecent from Nephis, who in return denied ever thinking of anything like that too of course.

Luckily they had the most Charming Lie detector in two worlds with them. Well, maybe not anymore since Sunny was sitting right across and between The two it would be hard to say which one is more Charming.

"I know what you all Want me to do but I'm not gonna interrogate either Cassie or Nephis just for your entertainment. I have to leave now anyways. I promised Aiko to spend the Night with her before I leave for Another Mission first thing in the Morning."

Kai explained amused while walking up to the Door. Before he left though Sunny called out to him.

"You can Tell her that I will leave her Paycheck as it is. I'm actually grateful for the Stunt she pulled so I'm not gonna deduct her pay."

Kai just laughed heartily and waved at him.

"She's gonna love that news. Thanks Sunny, you are a great friend."

They gave each other one Last nod before Kai finally left the Café. Now the rest of them were left without a train of thought. Silence spread through the Room, an awkward silence that Noone really knew how to fill.

"I think I will go too. It's getting late after all."

Jet stood up with A sigh and walked Up to the Door. Before she left though she gave Sunny a smile and said.

"Happy to have you back, major. See you soon."

Sunny waved at her with A smile and watched her leave. Soon Effie was the next one to leave along with Cassie and Rain.

"We will be going too. I hope you two have a great time....whatever you are doing."

Effie said with a Chuckle. She couldn't see it but Rain had a spur look on her face.

'Love to have him back but…I really don't need to be hearing anything even remotely related to this subject with my Brother involved.'

She thought Before leaving together with Cassie and Effie.

Now it was just Sunny and Nephis left In the Café. A moment that should feel awkward. But somehow it didn't. They just felt At ease….peaceful even.

"I'm hungry, would you like me to cook us something?"

Nephis asked while standing up already heading for the Kitchen. Just before she entered though Sunny stood in front of her wearing Anankes Mantle. His striking Red eyes and long White Hair looked good too. But looking back Over her shoulder and comparing it with his Original Body she couldn't deny that his Raven Black Hair and Onyx eyes suited him much better.

"The kitchen is no Place for you. This is my house so I will be the one Cooking."

The Sunny standing right infront of her said While pushing her away from the Door right Into the other Sunny's arms. Nephis was Mesmerized by his actions. And a little intrigued about the fact that her loving Partner has more than One body at his disposal.

"So if one of you is gonna cook us something, what are we gonna do while that happens?"

She asked while sinking into his body getting as close as she could. His arms wrapped around her waist holding her into a firm grip. Suddenly there was music playing from an unassuming rock laying on top of one of the Tables.

(The song playing? [War of Hearts by. Ruelle] just so you can listen to it if you want. I actually listen to this song a lot while reading Shadow Slave and sometimes even while writing.)

"Wha…where Is the Music coming from?"

Nephis was confused for a second before finally noticing the Extraordinary Rock. She let out a quick yelp while Sunny spun Her around.

"A memory of mine. One of the few I have left. I just thought it would be nice spending some time together like this. You know…although I never really learned it I'm a good dancer due to…."

Nephis Shut him up with putting a finger on his lips. She would have loved to kiss him instead, but wanted to wait until Sunny was ready for it And would do it himself. She would just wait patiently.

Getting closer she whispered.

"I know it's because of your Aspect Legacy Shadow Dance. I was just surprised, I would gladly dance with you. Although you will have to take the lead here because I'm not good at dancing…like at all."

Sunny chuckled and whispered back while taking the first step.

"It's hard to believe that you're not perfect at everything you do."

Instead of giving him an asner Nephis just chuckled and followed his lead. With one of her hands on his shoulder and the other Linked with his. They danced in the Café. His hand resting on her hip while the one linked With her was set aflame by her touch.

For the Moment the world around them seemed to vanish leaving Just their two Bodies and the Ground beneath their feet. With every step Nephis felt like she became a little lighter. Sunny too enjoyed the time very much, maybe even a little too much since his Shadow had trouble cooking.

The music in their ears was just a Blur while they took in every detail of another. The Way their Hair moved, their Breath tickled each other's necks, how their eyes softened under each other Gaze and of course how their Lips quaked With desperate Longing.

Suddenly the Music stopped and there was nothing but silence once again. The tension In the air was suffocating while they tried catching their Breaths. Both of them Foze holding each other's Gaze looking for relief from the unbearable pressure while their Faces were terribly close.

Both knew what would help them to release it but only one of them has Been willing to take that step, until now. Sunny's Gaze landed on her lips for a split second before finally closing the gap between them. His hands moved to Her Hips again while hers grabbed the back of his Head.

Before Nephis could realize what had happened she could feel her whole Body being set aflame. She was in more heat than she has ever Been, considering her Aspect that is saying A lot. The Flames danced in her eyes, shining through her closed lids while exploring Sunny's body with her hands while He was doing the same.

While their tongues Fought furiously against each other did their hands finally found a Comfortable resting position on each other's backs. The Room suddenly felt much warmer but also darker while the two were tangled Together.

Sunny's second body seemed to be having trouble even holding a Pan right now while the one in the Nameless Temple needed to take a break from restoring the Roof after dropping the second Stone in a row now. Somewhere else entirely were two Shadows seemingly frozen in Place, luckily no Nightmare Creature was in sight.

Time seemed irrelevant at the moment And that wasn't an understatement. When their dance had started it was still deep at night but now the Morning sun could be seen on the horizon.

Back in the Café both of them were hungry for more but even now Sunny was reluctant to take the next step. So instead of pulling Nephis into the Shadows up to his Bedroom did he pull her onto a small couch not too far away in the Corner of the Café.

Nephis hands moved to his hips trying to take off his from Shadows Manifested Shorts but he stopped her. For a moment their lips parted and they were back to just staring at each other. Nephis noticed Sunny's complicated look and said with a soft and hesitant voice.

"I'm sorry I was just…caught in the moment. It's totally fine if you're not ready for more."

Almost sounding apologetic, Sunny answered.

"No I'm sorry, it's just…let's keep it the way it's now and go further another time, ok?"

She gave him a warm smile and leaned over to him resting her head on his Chest again.

"That's totally fine, I liked what just happened very much by the way, how about you?"

Sunny who was caressing her Head again sighed lovely and took a deep breath before he spoke.

"Considering my clone in the Kitchen burned our Meal 3 times before he finally managed to get a hold of himself and the rest of my Incantations either froze or had trouble doing simple tasks it's safe to say that I loved it. I simply can't imagine living without you."

"That's good, I feel the same. I'm still starving though."

That last Statement from Nephis wasn't just directed at her physical hunger of course. Being set aflame by Sunny's soft lips made her desperate for more. So much so that she considered throwing away all sense of reason and shame and start grinding herself on him till she's satisfied.

'Patience Neph, patience!'

She thought to herself while rubbing her hands over his chest again. For a while none of them Spoke but soon Nephis asked a question that has been bothering her since she healed his Original Body.

"By the way, where did you get those wounds from?"

Sunny had received many wounds in his life so it would be hard to know which ones she actually meant. Considering where she was touching him though, it was as Clear as day and Night to him.

"I got those at the end of my… no, our 3rd Nightmare. They are from a Cursed Terror. I would have died if the Nightmare hadn't ended the second he plunged his talons inside my chest."

Nephis couldn't believe his words. But she had no way of denying his truthfulness of course.

"That's… Unbelievable. If it wasn't you who told me that I wouldn't believe a single word but… where did you encounter a Cursed Terror in that Tomb?"

Nephis of course knew where Sunny had encountered the Vile Thieving Bird she had been told by Cassie after all. But she wanted to know more than just that so she had to tread carefully.

"In the heart of the Tomb. I don't remember much of the way to the heart but what happened Inside I remember very well. Too well, perhaps. Sometimes I wish I had forgotten that too."

His voice was clearly trembling with sadness and maybe even a hint of fear inside. He had faced a Cursed Terror after all. A creature so terrible that most People thought they were just a Myth, or at least hoped for that to be the Case.

"Why did you go to the Heart, Sunny?"

"Because I…I wanted to be Free."

"Free from what?"

Nephis asked, already knowing the answer of course. Sunny did not sound like he wanted To talk about the subject Any further but Nephis is not known for easily picking up on social Cues so she asked out of curiosity for his answer.

Sunny on the other hand had no Choice but to answer her question with the truth of course.

"I don't remember when It happened or who it was but I have been Enslaved by someone in the past."

Nephis could clearly hear the Sorrow in his voice and the Guilt overwhelmed her. She knew that she should tell him that she was the one who Enslaved him all those years ago on top of the Crimson Spire. It was to save his life but Sunny did not remember that and she feared his reaction if she told Him the truth.

But if he would find out from someone else she was sure that Sunny would take it much worse so in the end there was only one choice she could make. The right one.

She hesitated a moment before she finally spoke.

"I…I think I should tell you something."

Sunny, clearly confused by the change of her demeanor, just frowned and asked.

"What is it?"

"I…I…don't know how to say it. Please promise me you will listen before jumping to conclusions, ok?"

Sunny, now more concerned, just nodded and waited for her to say what was clearly hard to say for her.

"It was to save you and I promise I never used it willingly but to tell the truth here…I was the one who said your True Name out loud, back when we were in the Crimson Spire… but I swear I didn't know what would hap…."

(Cliffhanger because this can go either way now. Tell me if you want a wholesome conclusion or one that would turn their worlds upside down.)
