Chapter 32: A Simple Prayer
(Klein)
The past 3 weeks have passed by quickly, with him easily being able to manage to digest the Sequence 9 Potion-Seer.
Through The Emperor, he was also able to gather the materials required to become Sequence 8-Clown.
He also was able to find the best place to actually act as the clown.
A place known as The Dreamscape.
So he didn't even need to worry too much, since he could continue to Act, yet not be caught at all.
Klein had decided that the night before the meeting, he would advance to becoming a Sequence 8 and quickly digest that potion as well.
The only reason he had taken so long to digest his Sequence 9 potion was due to the lack of important events.
It seems that due to not having characters such as sealed artifact 0-08, Adam or Amon manipulating his life, he wasn't constantly involved in deity level problems.
But that did mean he would digest his potion slower than normal.
For now, it didn't really bother him.
So, he concocted the potion, and consumed it with practised ease.
Similar to the last time when he had consumed the potion, it had tasted disgusting.
He was convinced that he looked like a steamed lobster. As for his spirit and mind, they felt like they had been extracted into a thin needle, fusing with the potion, drop by drop, as it stabbed into each and every one of the cells.
It was a feeling that needed no microscope to observe his cells. Klein stood there and "saw" the intruder invade his body's most minute areas.
For a few seconds, he felt like a robot that was having its parts and electrical circuits swapped out.
After an unknown period of time had passed, his mind reflected his figure, as though he was listening to himself singing through his own ears.
This time however, he didn't hear any murmurrings that guided him to losing control.
Just like last time, his clown formula gave him a, slight increase in physical power, incredible abilities when it comes to balance, perfect control of facial expression and the ability to turn paper into throwing knives
With this, he entered the grey fog and observed that there was a new shining stars there, and perfectly the second he entered the meeting, he heard something…
A…prayer?!
Through the connection, he saw a brown-haired youth, sharp-featured and determined, kneeling with clasped hands.
The youth's voice trembled slightly as he whispered his request, seeking a method to remain safe during the Winter Solstice.
Klein's expression remained calm, but he could sense the urgency and fear behind the prayer.
Klein tried to keep his calm, as he summoned Arrodes.
"Great master! Your humble servant Arrodes is ready to serve!"
"Arrodes, who is the person who was praying to me."
Arrodes paused for a moment, yet words didn't immediately form on the mirror.
"I do not know…and what I do know I cannot say, Great Master."
Klein was shocked a little at those words. The only time Arrodes would not tell him something was when an extremely High Sequence Beyonder or someone equivalent was involved in the issue.
That meant that this young man…was involved with an extremely strong existence.
Was it a similar situation to the Poet? Did he have a grandpa leaching on him?
Well…it didn't matter. For now, Klein moved his attention to the new star inside of the Grey Fog.
The young man stood tall, his sharp features accentuated by a striking contrast between the intricate red and black patterns in one eye and the ripple-like violet design in the other.
Messy raven-black hair framed his face, falling just above his strong jawline, enhancing his intense and brooding expression.
An aura of otherworldly energy surrounded him, making his presence feel both formidable and enigmatic.
He donned a plain, dark outfit consisting of a fitted black shirt, loose cargo pants, and a hooded cloak, all designed to keep him hidden in the shadows.
Another person to observe…
…
[Welcome to the Dream Realm, Klaus!]
Klaus stepped into the Dream Realm, and immediately he was met with an unsettling scene.
The ground beneath him squelched and shifted, a thick, gooey mud that seemed to cling to his boots, threatening to pull him down with each hesitant step.
The air was heavy and damp, the smell of wet earth and decay filling his nostrils. All around him stretched an endless swamp, the horizon blurred by a thick, eerie fog that clung to the surface of the mud like a shroud.
Gnarled roots protruded from the ground like skeletal fingers, twisting and turning as if trying to escape the mire that trapped them.
As Klaus surveyed the dismal landscape, he noticed shadows flickering just beyond the veil of mist. The swamp felt alive, pulsating with an energy that made the hair on the back of his neck stand on end.
He squinted into the murky depths, trying to discern the source of the movement, but the more he focused, the more elusive they became.
He could hear the distant croaks of unseen creatures, echoing through the thick air, a haunting chorus that filled the silence.
It was a realm devoid of light, where hope felt as distant as the sun hidden behind the oppressive gray clouds overhead.
However for some reason, the image and the sensation of being inside of a swamp flickered for Klaus.
As if one second he was inside of an endless swamp, and the next he was just standing in front of what seemed to be a mud-filled humanoid creature.

Authors note:
Unfortunately this isn't a continuation of the fanfic. I simply had a couple of spare chapters I wanted to upload.
I am currently trying a new project, which is basically my own novel but I will be uploading it as a fanfic since honestly I write mainly for interaction with people.
I write to share ideas and run through scenarios with people, so I hope you will try my new project out.
It is called "Eternal Heir."
Do not subscribe to patreon for this fanfic anymore thanks.
