Settle at Hogwarts
Chapter 321 Hogwarts is extremely slow
Back in Cokeworth, Tabor dove into the room.
After riding the Hogwarts Express again many years later, he now wanted to tinker with it a bit.
At the very least, it shouldn't take almost the entire day to get from King's Cross Station to Hogwarts.
The second-hand cars secretly modified by Arthur Weasley could catch up with Hogwarts. Tubo felt that it would not be too difficult for him to speed up such an ancient steam train.
"Boom boom boom!"
"Uncle, you can go downstairs for dinner."
Tabor raised his head and glanced, only to find that the street lights outside were already on.
Walking downstairs, Severus sat at the table and read the latest potions journal, while Lily directed the dishes to float out of the kitchen.
"Are there any new research results recently?"
Severus dropped the journal on the sofa.
"No, it's all stuff written by smart guys."
Tabor sat next to Severus and looked at Harry opposite him who had been secretly sizing him up.
"Just call me by my name from now on, Harry. If you can't, you can call me Professor. I don't act like my grandparents."
"Well, okay professor."
Harry breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed that the former principal and current professor had no intention of complaining to his father.
My parents probably wouldn't know about my occasional night outings when I couldn't sleep at school.
"Uncle, come and try my cooking. This is the dish you once taught me."
Tabor stared at the strange dishes on the table and couldn't imagine when he had taught Lily to make such food.
My impression is that I spent most of my time teaching them how to brew potions.
"It looks pretty good."
Tabor gave a somewhat idealistic compliment.
"I improved it a little bit, and my parents like it very much."
Taber thought of the Evanses and asked casually: "How are your sisters doing these years?"
"Petunia married a middle-class Muggle and they had a son."
Lily said, unable to help but smile and glance at Severus.
"When Sev and I got married, they all came to congratulate us. Although Mr. Dursley looks average, he loves Petunia very much."
Tubo nodded silently in his mind. If Mr. Dursley didn't really love Petunia, how could he tolerate a person who didn't have any support and had no blood relationship with him living at home and still provide for him to go to school?
"You won't use magic to trick him at the wedding, right?"
Lily was a little surprised: "Of course not, how could we do this! In fact, the relationship between our two families has been pretty good over the years. Although we don't meet often, we occasionally spend Christmas together."
Severus looked normal, obviously not repelled by the fact that he had a Muggle brother-in-law.
Tabor picked up a piece of fungus and put it in his mouth. Surprisingly, he thought it tasted pretty good.
In total, Severus and Lily were already in their 30s, and their careers and families were completely on track, and they really didn't need to worry about it.
"So will they come back this year? To be honest, I'm quite curious about what kind of partner Petunia, who has been strong since she was a child, will find."
"Auntie is coming this year. She called just now." Harry said suddenly.
Severus nodded: "Yes, Harry answered the call just now."
Tabor looked at Harry's excited look, and couldn't help but sigh that he had completely changed the original plot.
Harry in another world would never expect to meet anyone with the surname Dursley.
"Uncle, what are you studying recently? Do you need any help?"
Severus put down his knife and fork and asked expectantly.
In his opinion, he should be able to help his uncle now.Whether it is magic or potion level, there has been huge progress in the past ten years.
"I was wondering recently if there was a way to speed up the Hogwarts Express."
Tabor casually said what he had been thinking about all afternoon.
"Hogwarts Express?"
"Yes!"
Lily frowned slightly: "The Ministry of Magic may not spend that money to upgrade transportation."
Tabor waved his hand nonchalantly. As long as he could come up with a feasible renovation plan and hand it over to the school directors, someone would naturally be willing to pay for it.
"Muggles now have both diesel and electric locomotives."
"But electricity is not available in some places."
Tabor nodded: "Indeed, so I am considering whether to change it to an internal combustion engine or use magic power as a drive. It would also be good if the entire Hogwarts Express was made into an alchemy item."
Severus and Lily looked at each other helplessly. This was not the first time they had seen their uncle in a state of research.
"Professor, can the new Hogwarts Express fly?"
Harry asked carefully.
Tabor pondered for a moment, and suddenly felt that adding a flight function seemed good.
After all, it is a means of transportation for wizards. Who stipulates that it must run on the track like a Muggle train?
"energy."
Tabor muttered this word, whether it is steam now or magic in the future, it is closely related to energy.
If the magic power is enough, it would be no problem to directly disapparate the passengers on the Hogwarts Express.
Tabor suddenly thought of the magic stone that he had not destroyed.
Perhaps, the magic stone can be used as an energy source temporarily, and it won't be too late to remove it when you really need it.
After deciding everything in his mind, Tabor put down his knife and fork.
"I already have some ideas. As for the flight function, I will try to add it. Harry, do you have any other good suggestions?"
Harry shook his head. He just said it casually. He didn't expect that his young uncle would actually accept it.
"Okay, if you have any other ideas, please let me know. I will try to renovate the Hogwarts Express before the end of the Christmas vacation."
After Tabor finished speaking, he disappeared directly into his seat.
Harry was left stunned, while Lily and Severus were a little helpless.
"Tabor, what's wrong with coming here so late?"
Professor McGonagall wore a dark purple nightcap and sat behind her desk with a serious expression on her face.
"Some ideas, about the Hogwarts Express."
Principal McGonagall pursed her lips tightly, even though so much time had passed. However, the former principal's temperament has not changed at all.
"Professor Prince, the Hogwarts Express is now more than just a means of transportation. The Ministry of Magic and the school governors will definitely not allow you to dismantle it."
