"Vanessa?"

"You… you're awake?" Fisk's entire body trembled, and his voice shook with emotion. The overwhelming relief and disbelief he felt at that moment were beyond words. He even wondered if he was seeing things. Just three minutes ago, Vanessa was barely breathing, but now, she looked vibrant and full of life. Such a miraculous recovery defied all logic.

His gaze shifted back to Helen Cho. How had she managed to do this? Simply by holding Vanessa's hand? What kind of divine ability was this?

"Incredible! How is this possible?" Even Wesley, usually the epitome of calm, couldn't hide his astonishment. Although the reports indicated that Helen Cho had performed many miracles over the past two weeks, the idea that such a cure could happen in mere minutes was mind-blowing.

"What happened, Wilson?" Vanessa sat up in bed, looking at Fisk curiously.

Fisk hurried to help her, but Vanessa gently pushed him away. "You're treating me like a critical patient, but I feel perfectly fine," she said with a smile.

"Vanessa, are you sure? Do you feel any discomfort at all?" Fisk asked, his concern evident.

"I'm perfectly fine!" Vanessa replied after assessing her condition. "In fact, I've never felt more energetic. I feel full of strength!"

Seeing Vanessa's revitalized state and hearing her confirm it, Fisk finally exhaled in relief.

"I remember drinking a glass of wine and then feeling dizzy. Did I pass out, Wilson?" Vanessa asked, frowning as she tried to recall what had happened. Though she rarely drank, her tolerance wasn't that low. Looking around at the unfamiliar surroundings and noticing the woman in a white coat beside her, Vanessa started to piece things together. Clearly, something unusual had occurred.

"Don't worry, Vanessa. I'll find out everything," Fisk vowed in a low, determined voice. Whoever had targeted Vanessa would face his wrath.

"Mr. Fisk, it seems Mrs. Vanessa is now fine; if that's the case, I'll take my leave," Helen said, standing up to leave.

"Dr. Cho, you've truly opened my eyes—no, you've left me in awe!" Fisk approached Helen, looking at her with something akin to reverence. "What you just did was nothing short of a miracle!"

"Mr. Fisk, you're too kind. I'm just a fortunate person," Helen replied humbly. She believed that her ability was purely a stroke of luck. If she hadn't stumbled upon Wade and persisted in "following" him, she would never have acquired the miraculous Devil Fruit. She was, indeed, just a lucky person.

"Dr. Cho, you're far too modest," Fisk said, his admiration for Helen growing. He had met plenty of people who boasted about even the smallest achievements, inflating their egos and expecting the world to bow down to them. But here was Dr. Cho, who had performed a miracle that could shake the entire medical field yet remained so humble. The difference was stark.

"You've cured Vanessa, and for that, I, Wilson Fisk, owe you a great debt. Please, Dr. Cho, allow me the opportunity to show my gratitude," Fisk said sincerely.

"Mr. Fisk, there's no need to thank me. I simply did what I should. Helping others is my desire," Helen replied, waving off his thanks.

"Please, Dr. Cho, don't refuse. If I let you leave just like that, Vanessa would definitely scold me later. You wouldn't want me to get in trouble, right?" Fisk said with a rare smile.

Even someone as usually stoic and stern as Fisk was smiling, indicating how genuinely pleased he was. However, his imposing appearance made even a friendly smile seem somewhat intimidating.

"Dr. Cho, please don't turn us down. It would be insulting if we let you leave on an empty stomach, wouldn't it?" Vanessa added, taking Helen's hand.

Though she hadn't witnessed what happened while unconscious, Vanessa wasn't oblivious. The situation was clear enough for her to understand that Helen Cho had done something extraordinary.

Helen couldn't resist Fisk and Vanessa's warm insistence and finally agreed to stay.

Fisk was overjoyed and immediately arranged a lavish banquet at a nearby luxury hotel to thank Helen. He even donated five million dollars to her research center as a token of his gratitude. It was clear that money was no problem for him.

"Dr. Cho, this might be a bit forward, but could I ask how you managed to cure Vanessa?" Fisk asked during the meal, his curiosity evident. The method Helen had used—simply holding someone's hand to heal them—was something Fisk had never encountered despite all his experience.

"Of course, Dr. Cho, I'm only asking out of curiosity, not to pry into anything you might want to keep private. If it's inconvenient, please pretend I didn't ask," Fisk quickly added, not wanting to offend Helen.

"It's not something I need to keep secret," Helen replied after a brief pause.

The Shopkeeper had instructed her to spread the word about Devil Fruits, indicating that there was no intention to keep them hidden. After all, she learned about the Devil Fruit from Wade's introduction. Given this, Helen saw no reason to conceal the truth. In fact, she had mentioned the Devil Fruit to others before, though no one had believed her.

"The method I used to treat Ms. Vanessa wasn't medical. It's actually a power derived from a Devil Fruit," Helen explained.

Devil Fruit?

Fisk was stunned. What on earth was that? He had never heard of such a thing.
