Selling Devil Fruits in the Marvel Universe

Chapter 12: Chapter 012: The Glint-Glint Fruit's Power

*Shh! Shh! Shh!*

*Boom! Boom! Boom!*

The remote mountain echoed with the constant sound of blasts as one "stone target" after another was shattered to pieces by Rosh's photon bullets.

'The power is decent, but the accuracy is a bit off,' Rosh thought, slightly disappointed. At his current level of precision, hitting a distant target would be challenging. He realized that more training was necessary.

'I still have a long way to go!'

But Rosh wasn't too hard on himself. After all, he had only recently acquired the power of the Glint-Glint Fruit. There was no need to rush. Progress takes time, and no one becomes a master overnight.

*Shh! Shh! Shh!*

With that thought in mind, Rosh resumed his training.

He only paused to catch his breath when he finally felt a bit tired, realizing that he had been continuously firing for two hours straight.

In other words, it was like he had been holding a gun and shooting non-stop for two hours! That was incredible!

Clearly, the Devil Fruit had altered Rosh's physical condition in ways he hadn't fully grasped yet.

Of course, compared to the monsters in the One Piece world who could fight for days and nights on end, Rosh still needed to catch up, but this was a significant leap forward.

Moreover, the two hours of training had noticeably improved his accuracy, which pleased Rosh.

Considering that the continuous flashes of light at night might draw unwanted attention, even in the secluded woods of the mountains, Rosh decided to call it a day despite having enough energy to spare.

'I'll need to find an indoor training facility in the future,' Rosh mused.

However, such thoughts were premature. For now, he would have to come earlier and train during the day.

After all, as the boss, he could close the shop whenever he pleased.

With these random thoughts in mind, Rosh began his descent from the mountain, which took him over half an hour.

Fortunately, his enhanced physique could handle such exertion; otherwise, he would have been exhausted.

Even so, the area he found himself in was quite remote, with no chance of finding a cab.

After a brief consideration, Rosh decided to run.

He wanted to test his physical limits.

*Tap, tap, tap!*

*Tap, tap, tap!*

The quiet road was filled with the barely audible sound of Rosh's light footsteps.

Before he knew it, he had been running for another two hours, and only then did he begin to feel a little tired.

'This new physique is incredible.'

"Wait, where am I?"

Rosh had been so focused on running that he hadn't noticed his surroundings until he stopped, realizing he was in an unfamiliar area. He had never been here before.

Moreover, the area looked dirty and chaotic, like the outskirts of a city.

"Did I accidentally run into the slums?"

Rosh wondered to himself.

This place was notorious for high crime rates, so Rosh pulled out his phone to check the map and plan his exit.

"Hey, kid! Don't move!"

"Hand over everything valuable you've got!"

"Or we'll shoot you!"

But just as he was about to check the map, four rough-looking guys suddenly emerged from a nearby alley.

Each of them held a gun, aiming it at Rosh while shouting threats.

'Gotta love free America—free daily gunfights,' Rosh thought sarcastically.

In the past, Rosh would have been scared out of his wits in such a situation, but now, it was those guys who should be worried.

"Let me give you some advice, fellas. If you ever try to rob someone who's as calm as I am, you should probably just turn around and leave."

"I'm serious!"

Rosh spread his hands, sincerely advising the thugs.

After all, this was a world filled with superheroes and villains!

'What is this guy, crazy?'

The thugs cursed Rosh in their minds, thinking he was spouting nonsense.

"Stop talking crap and hand over your money!" The leader, a guy in a checkered shirt, chambered a round in his gun with a loud *click*. "Or I'll blow your brains out!"

As he spoke, he pressed the gun to Rosh's head.

Rosh didn't waste any more words. He simply raised a finger and pointed it at the checkered-shirt guy.

*Shh!*

A flash of golden light shot out, piercing the guy's chest.

"What... what happened?"

The leader of the thugs stared in disbelief at the bloody hole in his chest, eyes wide with shock. He collapsed to the ground, filled with regret.

The remaining three guys were enraged.

'This guy's insane! He's surrounded by guns, yet he still dares to pull this off?'

Since the Marvel universe hadn't fully descended into chaos yet, the thugs didn't attribute Rosh's actions to any supernatural abilities. They just assumed he had some kind of weapon that emitted golden light.

That's all there was to it.

"You killed Jack?"

"Kid, you're dead!"

"Kill him!"

With a furious roar, the remaining thugs pulled their triggers, aiming directly at Rosh.

*Bang! Bang! Bang!*

The quiet night was shattered by the deafening sound of gunfire.

At such close range, it was impossible to miss. Several bullets hit Rosh squarely.

But to their shock, the bullets merely produced tiny flashes of golden light before disintegrating on impact.

Rosh remained unharmed!

"This can't be happening!"

The thugs were stunned, their voices trembling in disbelief.

They had hit this guy multiple times—how was it possible that he didn't even have a scratch?

And what was that golden light?

Rosh didn't give them time to ponder. He raised both hands and unleashed a barrage of photon bullets at the three remaining youths.

*Shh! Shh! Shh!*

Golden beams flashed, and the thugs were all fatally shot, collapsing to the ground.

Even in death, they couldn't comprehend why that kid couldn't be killed or what kind of weapon he was wielding.

But they would never find the answer.

Rosh swiftly moved away without glancing at the bodies, his figure quickly disappearing into the night.
