When Ye Yan came back to the astrology room, the cat was sitting on the table grooming himself. 

"I finish the task you gave me." Ye Yan told the cat, showing him some of the Dodo's feathers.

"Hum. You must really be mad for fighting this one with your actual powers. You must be swift as a mouse to be still alive." The cat said while licking his right paw. "But, no matter how you did it, you helped the world by getting rid of an eyesore."

"That dirty thing like to eat the same things as the great me. Humph. He thought of itself like a cat, but it didn't have the elegance, charm, cleanness, strength, intelligence, coolness, and beauty of a cat, and most important, it is not lovable at all." The cat said disdainfully.

"You proved yourself worth. You have enough madness in you to be a great adventurer but, is it enough for you to be excellent?" The cat said, looking at Ye Yan in the eyes.

Ye Yan's first thought wasn't about the challenge but if there will be another task later when the cat said those things.  First was good, after was great, and now he asks if he can be excellent. Maybe he will ask him if he can be perfect in the future.

As if reading Ye Yan's mind, the cat started speaking again.

"Don't worry. This is the last task I will give you but also the most difficult. If you pass, you will have proved yourself worthy of what I have in mind for you." The cat takes a short break for grooming himself.

"A mad rabbit is living in the palace ruins, disrupting the lives of others. It is always in a hurry, but I don't know what it is in a hurry for. You can easily recognize it because the rabbit is white, fat, and always red clothes and a hat."

"What do you think? Are you mad enough to fight it, or will you settle for being just great?"

System: Master Cat has a quest for you. Will you accept it? Quest difficult: SS.

When Ye Yan heard the system notification, he was in a trance. A SS level difficulty is no simple matter, and his chances of completing it are very low, but the chance of him dying while doing it is extremely high.

The quests he received from the cat didn't show the difficult status, just the objective and type. However, they should be at least A or even S level. And both were too damn hard already.

He only completed them because he was alone and use the environment to help and his martial arts training. If he was to be the tank in a party to fight them, it would be a total wipeout because he couldn't tank these monsters for the party.

Now, this SS-level quest made him feel like he bit off more than he can chew. But no matter what, he needs to get stronger, and what better way of doing it than challenge stronger opponents.

"It is too late already. Can I do it tomorrow?" Ye Yan asked the Cat. If he went out now, it not only would be more dangerous because it is dark outside, but he still would have problems because he is in the game for too long already.

"Yes, you can. There is no time limit for you to complete the task since you do this with the same power as you have now. You just have to come back within one hour after killing it." The cat explained to him.

"Then, I will accept the task." After getting the answer to his question, Ye Yan chose to accept the task right away.

"You can sleep in that corner." The cat said, pointing to a place in the room.

After nodding to the cat, Ye Yan went to the corner indicated by the cat and before logging out, he looked at the quest's details.

[The way of madness] (Quest)

Description: You need to prove yourself to the Master Cat. He can only accept someone mad enough to reach the top.

Type: unique

Difficult: SS

Objective: You must kill the Crazy Rabbit in a hat without dying.

Progress: Kill Crazy Rabbit in a hat (0/1), went back to Master Cat within an hour after killing the Crazy Rabbit (0/1), and show the spoils of the battle to Master Cat (0/1).

After reading, Ye Yan just thought that there is something strange about the quest. The description speaks about the cat accepting him if he passes the test, but what does it mean? He has no idea. He just hopes to be able to know because if he dies, the quest will fail and he will not be able to complete it anymore.

After logging out, Ye Yan looked out the window and saw the stone forest that is the capital of the country. There are so many buildings and people walking in the streets, so many cars that if things didn't change, people will reach the places where they want to go faster on foot.

Ye Yan breathed the city air that is cleaner than decades ago because of the changes in public policies and regulations, plus the change in the cars that stopped using fossil fuels.

He closed the window and started to do his morning routine, which now includes running outside because he needs some morning sunlight, or his body would lack vitamin D.

When he was done talking with his friends about his current quest and discussing the guild, the entire day had passed, and Ye Yan could go back to the game because it must have dawned in the game by now.

When Ye Yan entered the game again, he just greeted the cat and prepared to leave to do his task.

"I will wait for your good news." The cat said and then, he made a dismissing gesture with his paw.

"Or the notice of your death..." The cat said after Ye Yan left the room. Then, he just lay down on the table to take a nap.

After leaving the room and crawling his way out of the hole, Ye Yan looked around to see if there were monsters nearby and where he should go to look for the Crazy Rabbit.

Far away, to the right, there are the remains of a high wall that Ye Yan can use to see a good part of the area. He decided to go there to look around.  He used the rubbles and the holes in the wall to climb to the top.

Getting there, he could see almost the entire area, from where was the original garden to the wall on the other end of the palace ruins. Next to this wall, there was something white and red running fast. And for what the cat said, there is a high chance of it being the Crazy Rabbit.

After checking that the white dot kept running only in that region, Ye Yan left the wall and went to that place. 

When Ye Yan got close enough to see the appearance of the monster, his jaw dropped. The monster looks like Roger Rabbit after gaining a little too much prosperity weight and using a chimney-pot hat.

The rabbit's hat is divided into four parts, two red and two blacks, and in each part, there is a card symbol. On the red parts, there are a black spade and a black club, and in the black parts, there are a red diamond and a red heart.

With this appearance, the rabbit looks like a gambler addicted that likes to eat a little too much. Even more so, with that face that looks like it just got out of a cartoon.

But, no matter the monster's appearance, he just needs to kill it. However, contrary to what his appearance indicates, this monster should be very strong because of the quest's level of difficulty.

Before approaching the monster, Ye Yan took a good look at the area, trying to find something he can use to gain an advantage in the battle. 

He just found a few sparse trees and a place where he can climb the wall. Sadly, the monster wouldn't wait by the wall for him to climb and leap attacking like in some other games. 

As there is nothing more he can do before the battle, Ye Yan took a deep breath and started to approach the Crazy Rabbit in a hat. 

When the rabbit perceived Ye Yan's presence, it started to madly laugh while pointing at him. 

[This rabbit definitely smoked some strange substance!] Looking at the rabbit, Ye Yan started to think that this monster should have eaten some "rabbit" weed or smoke something improper because, even for a crazy rabbit, it is too abnormal.

When Ye Yan got around 5 meters (~16,4 feet), the rabbit jumped in front of him. The rabbit was so fast that Ye Yan almost didn't have time to dodge. Luckily, his reaction speed is high or he would have been licked by the rabbit. Yes, licked. The monster didn't try to scratch him or kick but lick him.

Maybe the monster would use the germs to kill him because with that bad breath and the almost green saliva running down from its mouth, not only the number of germs should be high, but it probably is highly toxic as well.

Ye Yan would feel tremors through his body even if Jessica Rabbit tried o licked him, even more with the one doing it being a crazy rabbit that must never have seen a toothbrush in its entire life. 

Seeing the type of attack the rabbit is using, Ye Yan understood an important thing in this battle. As the rabbit is crazy, he should expect the unpredictable. The rabbit may use things that he would never think in this fight.
